Remember me?

It seems like it has only been the blink of an eye since I last blogged, when it has actually been six months! Here are the top 3 things each member of our family has experienced...
Jay - 1. Torn ligaments in his ankle resulting in the biggest boot ever and the nickname "Frankenboot." 2. The onset and passing of his first kidney stone (called a rhinestone by Eve). 3. Realizing that 33 years old is not the same as 23 years old and he may need to slow down...
Hannah - 1. Two more MSU classes down on Rank I. 2. More success with a little side sewing business and an official business liscense! 3. Lots of changes at school... leaving me wishing for the summer that will never end...
Eve - 1. First dance recital where she got the most flowers (just as requested). 2. The biggest, best 5-year-old-Strawberry-Shortcake birthday party ever. 3. Preschool graduation and Kindergarten registration...
Leah - 1. Learning to "Pee-pee-potty" like a big girl. 2. Playing her own apps on Mommy's iPhone. 3. Winning the hearts of every person she meets...
We are still just plodding along finding our way as a family of four in this life often overwhelmed by the way we are crazy-blessed by God.

Happy Thanksgiving & Merry Christmas!

I'm so embarrassed that I haven't blogged in almost two months! I know all my "fans" out there must be so disappointed! Hahaha! Well, to catch you up I will hit the high points. Thanksgiving was good (not great as Leah was sick) and we enjoyed time at Sissy and Pip's with Mamaw, PawPaw, Steve and Jeanne. The week after Thanksgiving Eve came down with a nasty stomach bug and we missed the Christmas Parade, but did get photos made at Sears. Two weeks later Eve came down with Strep throat so we had to cancel our Annual Cookie Exchange which saddened us all. Last week we spent 5 days in Northern Kentucky for Johnson Christmas and Lexington Catholic's Girl's Basketball Tournament. Christmas weekend was spent at the Byers's and Stark's Christmas before we finished it all up with a trip to the movie theater to see "Yogi Bear." So, probably not our best year, but blessed nonetheless. Eve summed it all up to Uncle P this morning when she said, "I want an extra Christmas." He said, "How do you think you could get one?" She sweetly and innocently replied, "I will just pray to God and ask Him for one." :)
