WELCOME TO OUR HOME, OR AS THE CANADIANS CALL IT OUR 500 SQ FT SUITE!
So I wasn't going to post any pictures of our place becasue I felt weird about it. But everybody has been asking and since NOBODY is ever going to get up here to see it in person before we move into a bigger place I figured I could give you a taste of how Hank and I are surviving in our 500 sq feet. I definately have a lot of work to do, but it is fun for now. We decided to have fun with it since it is a quaint little apt (so don't be alarmed by the loud Couch it cost us nothing).
Don't blink or the tour will be over!
Welcome to the Nelson Residence #201
View from the shelf back at the door
Our little table (watching some Ellen)
Bedroom(really plain right now)
Hopefully this gives you a little idea of where we are and our living space! I know it is small but if anyone comes and visits I promise I will give up my spot in the BED!

It was inevitable!
Ok so you all know that when it comes to my hair I am a creature of habit. My hair has been the same my whole life. My best friend and hair stylist Maureen can testify that I would freak out if she cut off one inch of my hair, WELL I DON'T KNOW WHAT GOT INTO ME BUT TODAY I CUT OFF A WHOLE LOT MORE THAN AN INCH!
Thats right people it is all gone! I am still freaking out, but it is was due time that I made a change. To show you how much I really cut off here is a before and after!
If you didn't think I looked like my sisters before I think we could all be twins now! I think I look like a mom!
So it was inevitable, did we really think I could go my whole life without ever chopping it off!

PSUEDO POST FOR HANK!
Hank sent out an e-mail to many of his aquaintences showing pics of his daily work site. After these pictures you will see why I love Hank, he thinks this is the greatest thing ever. I think it looks like a big mud hole!
In the words of Hanks,
"Emily and I have been in Canada for almost two weeks now, and so far it has been great. I am still getting accustomed to the Monoloply money, and the fact that we have a land line (we get unlimited call to the US) for the first time in our marriage. Other than that we are off and rolling. The job has been fantastic. Here are some pictures of what the site looks like:
Seriously he loves bossing people around in this mud hole all day long.
"The following pictures are of what it will look like someday... whenever that is...
"All in all Emily and I are very excited to be here. So, be expecting a call from us sooner or later . . if you get a call with a 403 area code, that's us."
I am so proud of Hank and so happy that he loves his job. Every day he comes home and goes off about how excited he is which makes me happy because we did move to another country for it! As you can see we are doing great but miss you all. I promise I will post pictures of the house, aka BOX soon!

Making the Trek...
Well as I said in my last post we made it to Canada! The drive wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. (therefore you all can make the drive to see me)
We couldn't have done it without my DAD. Honestly he is the greatest dad in the whole world and insisted on driving that large and in charge UHAUL the entire time. I decided that i would spare you the details and fill you in on the highlights of the drive!
#1 Getting to spend quality time just me and my dad in the Uhaul in the middle of nowhere.
#2 The drinks that kept us awake and stopping at every bathroom along the way.
#3 The Applebee's in Great Falls. It was welcomed after a lot of nothingness and it was across from the beautiful Missouri River.
#4 The beautiful scenery! For the most part it was a beautiful drive and I would make it any day to come see you guys!
#5 The Border... Lets just say those Canadians did not want us immigrating into their country and were not the friendliest people ever. I was terrified and had butterflies for the twenty minutes prior to getting to the border.
At last we made it!
So far it has been an adventure and I am trying to get used to everything. Thanks to my dad for helping us get my car illegally (jk) acorss the border. Hank and I are sharing a car which will be interesting because I am a very independent person and like to do things and get around, hopefully I will survive!
Saying goodbye to my dad was really hard because he was the last bit of home that I had. Luckily I know i will be back in October for a visit.

Its Official
Thats right I have officially immigrated to Canada!
I am so sorry that I have not posted any pictures or given everyone the update on the new place and living in Canada, but since I have been here I have been on my death bed. I am pretty sure that it is a sinus infection but am a little scared to check out the canadian health system so sticking to self medication for now. So therefore no pictures because the place is still in scrambles due to the fact that i can't move. Hank has been so sweet trying to put things away and getting things in order. He left for his first day of work this morning and was like look its a new milestone in my career, HE TUCKED IN HIS SHIRT! I love that kid and I am so proud of him. Just seeing how excited he was is making this hard move worth it. It is definately hard and I miss each and everyone of you, but hopefully once I don't feel like death I can get out and enjoy Calgary and what it has to offer. Hopefully by tommorow I will have pictures of the move! I love you all and miss you!

Family Vaca to the Bay
The Allen crew took a much needed adult vacation to one of our favorite places, Pacific Grove California. For the guys it was all about the GOLF, getting to do a once in a lifetime opportunity and golf Pebble Beach. For the girls it was all about the beautiful scenery, diet coke, bike rides, and good food. We had a great time and it was the perfect way to say goodbye to my family. I going to miss them more then I think I even know. I feel so grateful to have the best family in the world. I was not only raised by great parents but also by 3 loving sisters and one great big brother. I had the best time with them in pebble beach and can't wait for next time.
Dangerous....
Adrien and I at bird rock

I promise I was having fun
Inside a little store called Chocloate Dreams, it definately fulfilled all of our dreams!
Pebble Beach 18th Hole...no wonder they had so much fun
