200 Things We Love About The 80s

Found a really interesting read online which list down items that are representative of a Singapore lifestyle in the eighties. That's our childhood years!!

I still remember the Tora and Ding Dang biscuits which come with mini-toys, ice pop, bubblegum with tattoo sticker and star-shaped candy biscuits...

And playing catching, hopscotch, five stones and coli (marbles) with classmates in school or with "neighbours" (i.e. kids around my age and staying around the neighbourhood) at the sand-based playgrounds...

And my favourite hobbies at that time were to collect cartoon characters stickers such as carebear, mickey mouse, winnie the pooh, etc (I just found my primary school sticker book lor, lol), phonecards with lots of designs such as orchid, nature, cartoon, etc (also found my phonecard collections recently as well, lol), stamps (yesh, some of my collections are still around), bus tickets (oops, threw them away at beginning of the year, crap!) with lucky numbers or used to fold into heart-shape, concession bus stamps (hahaha, my collection is still around too)

Hmm, why am I collecting so MANY things?? Time to donate them to the museum, hahaha?? I should blog about my collections in future, just to 'showcase' them.. since they have been stashed away in drawer for more than 10 years!

Anyway, enough of me reminiscing of the past!! Check out these reads at:

Day 1 : Singapore Hokkaido

At last!! Photos for our 7D6N Hokkaido trip in July 2011 =) Enjoy!

We woke up super early for our 8AM JAL flight from Singapore (Changi Airport) to Hokkaido (Chitose Airport) via Toyko (Haneda Airport). Super sleepy!!

Breakfast at Burger King at Terminal 1.

This breakfast set is really average... and frankly speaking, it doesn't even look appetising at all, hahaha... I want MacDonald big breakfast set!

Pilots in cockpit. Don't you just love my camera which comes with such superb zoom! hahaha...

... and our JAL plane.

Interior of plane; this should be a Boeing 777, with a 2-3-2 seat layout.

Touch-screen entertainment system which has plenty and pretty up-to-date in-flight movies and games.

Us! Our first trip to Hokkaido, yeah =)

Lunch on board. And Haagen-daz ice cream for dessert!! So yummy!! We had to ask for another serving each, hahaha...

Views from my seat.

7 hours later and we finally arrived at Tokyo. Above is the arrival hall of Haneda Airport.

We gotta check in for our domestic flight to Hokkaido at the domestic terminal which is right beside the arrival hall of international terminal... Above is the departure hall of Haneda Aiport.

Took a snap of the airport runway while waiting for the plane to take-off.

Evening view of the city. Oh man, the whole day is spent travelling on planes =(

Sunset.

And finally finally... we arrived at Hokkaido and check in to our hotel. That's the bathroom; kinda small but it has everything that's essential.

That's the room; TV is really small though, and we cannot understand most of the Jap programmes.

We bought instant cup noodles from the convenience store opposite our hotel since it's pretty late and the restaurant in the hotel has closed for the day. Ah, such pathetic dinner!

... spotted at Suntec City Mall. This reminds me of my candy-dozer mobile game, hahaha
