My Birthday Prezzie
YEAH!! I have got a Sony PlayStation Portable as my birthday present for this year =) Will be using it to listen to music, watch movies, view photos, surf Internet and play games. Pretty cool!! And definitely a very good companion for my long journey to and fro work.
Got 2 interesting games as well... Metal Slug is super addictive yah. But i am super bad with coordination! Cant jump and shoot enemies at the same time, cant jump across a wide hole, etc.. Argh, think will take me quite a while to complete the whole game =)
Current console cant play modified games though... Guess will modify it after the 1-year warranty is up... Hahaha, no hurry.
Anyone with a PSP console or original games which you are 'sick' of playing? We can play games together or swap games!! Just let me know... =P

Defensive VS Assertive

Ah, I was told by my senior today that my boss had kindly informed her (i.e. lodged an official complaint) this morning that I was defensive in a meeting yesterday ...
Hmm, I wasn't surprised really ... since I literally pointed my finger (well, you guys know that I gesture a lot right??) at another colleague and told him straight in his face (and in front of my boss) that the issue we are facing now is his problem, not mine. And guess what the colleague said?? The issue isn't his problem too ... Errhh, then who's problem is it?? I just gave everyone a this-is-not-my-issue face.
In the end, my boss decided that I should be the one to resolve HIS problem (no surprise), and the colleague is to help me if I cannot resolve it ... Please (insert roll eye) ... If he can resolve it, it wouldn't be an issue in the first time lor. This is like the hundredth time that I was arrowed to clear people's shit lor ... Argh, I really need a strong armour!!
Telling ppl in a slightly higher tone (erh, cos I can get easily irritated by incompetent ppl ...) that I have done my portion of work and this issue is not related to my scope = Defensive
Next time I should learn from another colleague ... When in the same situation, 1) Tell ppl in a very loud voice (and for the whole level to hear) that this issue is not yours and suggest that XXX can help, 2) throw in an occasional f**k word, and 3) most importantly, send a very nicely worded email (which is cc to all the bosses of course) to 'arrow' XXX to 'kindly assist' to resolve the issue ... Even though the colleague is the subject matter expert ...
This is recognised by my boss as assertive.
Ah, I still have a lot of things to learn.
