The Butter Factory

10 plus til early morning

As some of you might recall, you'd have to bring your namecard and enter before 11pm. The music's great, the crowd's mature and the drinks are cheap (11pm-midnight).

In fact, Hua, Bk, Wenwen and myself have taken leave on that day (half- or full-day) to kick off our partying with a sakae sushi buffet, shopping, dessert and finally butter factory. So you can see, we are dead serious bout our partying. Don't you worry, Hua has taken the morning off for studying first before the partying. So can some of you, actually. *snigger*

Please also take note that we are NOT going to The Butterfly nor The Chocolate Factory. It's The Butter Factory. Though if Johnny Depp is bringing me, i'll just fly your aeroplane at the drop of a hat.

Book that i read over the week: The Little Prince

was sian of studying for my exam and thus decided to take a mini break by reading 'The Little Prince'... yesh, i have a copy... so i can lend it to ppl who havent read it.... it's a book worth reading and re-reading k...

hmm, why did i choose to read this book instead of the other books that i have in my bookshelf?? i guess the main reason of picking up this book is to remind myself of the simple things in life that i have taken for granted or seem to forget as i buried myself with work, study and whatnot...


since i am talking abt this book, briefly:

1. The Little Prince (French: Le Petit Prince), published in 1943, is Antoine de Saint Exupery's most famous novella.

2. Saint Exupéry tells of his being stranded in the Sahara Desert, thousands of kilometers away from inhabited places, where he meets a young extraterrestrial (though entirely human-appearing) prince.

3. The essence of the book is contained in the famous line uttered by the fox to the Little Prince: "On ne voit bien qu'avec le cœur, l'essentiel est invisible pour les yeux." (It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye).

4. There are also two other main points in the book, both spoken by the fox. They are: "You become responsible, forever, for what you have tamed" and "It is the time you have spent with your rose that makes your rose so important."

hahaha... didnt know that the above 3 sentences are so important... but yah, i must say that after reading the whole book, these 3 sentences are the ones that stick in my mind for the longest... and get me into thinking about how i treat relationship and my life in general...
