Fall Fun!
We took an overnight trip to Branson and SDC with the girls last weekend. There's just something about the mountains with the cold crisp air and the changing colors!!! I love the FALL!!!!
Becca's Birthday's -- Too Many to Count
Becca had so many "mini-celebrations" I lost count! But we had a blast! There were tons of "little" things that we did. I took her shopping for an afternoon, daddy took her on a date, Nannie and Papa brought us dinner and a cake (while JoJo was sick), Memaw took the girls shopping, Kendra took the girls to do pottery, we celebrated fiesta style and she got whip cream in the face, then the homemade VB Pointers birthday cake..where we all dressed in green and had a little party with family. And I do believe we're waiting on one more "mini-celebration" when we see MeMama and Papa Joey!!! Can't wait for that!! I love to party!!!
Smiling through it all!
Just about the whole month of September was focused on getting Josiah better. Poor little guy got sick right as we were coming home from vacation. First it was a virus, then allergies, then ear infections, then Pneumonia! We ended up taking him out of daycare completely. The boy has had too many beatings to his immune system. I am so blessed to have help from my mom! WHAT would I do without her!!!! Through it all, he has kept a smile and has seemed to warm our hearts even more! I love my little guy!!! He is such a JOY!
Josiah's 2nd Birthday
On August 24th, my boy turned 2! We celebrated as much as we could, even with him being sick....(this was before we found out he had Pneumonia). He loved the basketball goal, slide, and 4-wheeler! Lot's of boy toys this year...for sure! He loves sports! Especially baseball and golf! I taught him how to play football the other day...he's sooo much fun!!!!

Saying GoodBye to MeMama
This was taken on vacation, right before we parted with MeMama and Papa Joey. Becca is holding back tears..she didn't want to leave! None of us did...it was soooooo nice!
Papa and JoJo time
I love this picture! I'm not sure what he was doing, but it was cracking Josiah up! Papa's almost as entertaining as Josiah!
Grandma Richardson
This is Jon's grandma Richardson. We got to visit with her during the time we were in Florida. She is a precious woman of God! She told us of her family heritage and shared about the miracles that happened in her life. She yodled for the girls...something she has always done for them when we visit. It was very special! And most importantly, got to meet Josiah! He was a little hard to keep still, but was very entertaining!
Grandmama and Grandaddy Hamby
This is Jon's grandparents that we visited on our way to Florida. We took a day trip with them, showing us where they were born, the church they grew up in, where they lived when they met and married and where Jon's dad was born. This is the city of LaGrange, Georgia...downtown on the square! It was a southern delight!

Summer Vacation!!!!
Well it's been a busy summer..glad it's over! We ended it with a bang this year by meeting Jon's parents in Florida to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary, and our 10th (in Nov). Jon's dad cashed in all of his travel points that they had accumulated over 14 years to get us into an awesome condo on the beach. We stayed at Portofino Island Resort in Pensacola in the penthouse! Talk about "once in a lifetime"!!! It was such a huge blessing..we had so much fun and were able to relax and spend time with each other with no schedule or agenda!... And also see Jon's grandparents from both sides. We stopped and visited with grandma and grandad Hamby in Hogansville, GA! It was a really special visit because they had not met Josiah yet. They just adored him and the girls. It had been 3 years since we had seen them and the visit was way too short! Then in Pensacola we visited with grandma Richardson and Aunt Peggy, cousin Sonya and her kids. It was a good time and great to see grandma and spend time with her, listening to stories. We got lot's of pictures of family too. So I should be posting more soon....we took about a 1000 pictures! The trip was awesome...but like a dream...not sure if I was really there or not! HA! But I thank the Lord for this time that we had AWAY and the REST that we were able to get, and most of all....time with each other and the memories that were made!

Mowing with Daddy!
It's become a family thing when we do yardwork, now. Usually I'm on the mower, daddy is weed eating, Josiah is taking a nap, and girls watching and helping. Tonight, after it cooled down, Jon got on the mower and gave rides...Josiah first! ...and loving it!!! I can't ever miss an opportunity like this one! They grow too fast!! Plus time with daddy is precious! One of the things that bonded me and my dad was the yard! He always had a job for me to do! Usually it was raking the grass up in piles while he mowed. Happy Father's Day Dad's!!!!
