Ways to Reduce Stress - Resolutions for the NEW YEAR!

An Angel says, "Never borrow from the future. If you worry about what may happen tomorrow and it doesn't happen, you have worried in vain. Even if it does happen, you have to worry twice.

1. Pray

2. Go to bed on time!!

3. Get up on time so you can start the day unrushed.

4. Say NO to projects that won't fit into your time schedule, or that will compromise your mental health.

5. Delegate tasks to capable others.

6. Simplify and unclutter your life.

7. Less is MORE. (Although one is often not enough, two are often too many..........and three...yeah that's right...you guessed it!)

8. Allow extra time to do things and to get to places.

9. Pace yourself. Spread out big changes and difficult projects over time; don't lump the hard things all together.

10. Take one day at a time!

11. Separate worries from concerns. If a situation is a concern, find out what God would have you do and let go of the anxiety. If you can't do anything about a situation, forget it!

12. Live within your budget; don't use credit cards for ordinary purchases. (Refer to Dave Ramsey....we do)

13. Have backups; an extra car key in your wallet, an extra house key buried in the garden, extra stamps, etc.

14. K.M.S. (KEEP MOUTH SHUT). This single piece of advice can prevent an enormous amount of trouble.

15. Do something for the kid in you every day.

16. Carry a bible with you to read while waiting in line.

17. Every night before bed, think of one thing you're grateful for that you've never been grateful for before. GOD HAS A WAY OF TURNING THINGS AROUND FOR YOU. "If God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31)

Phil 4:13 "I can do all things through CHRIST who strengthens me."

Fa la la la FUN TIMES

We were happy that Jon's family was able to visit on Christmas. Joey, Betty, Jeremie and Christy and their baby girl Olivia were able to stay almost a week!! Which gave us a lot of time to catch up and for the cousins to play their little hearts out....and especially for us all to watch plenty of "Dora the Explorer". Olivia loves her Dora!!!! So it was great!!! We had so much fun!!

Cousins!!!

We had a grand ol' time at mom's for the holidays, as we sang and celebrated together. Mom's birthday is on Christmas day, so we always celebrate with a cake and a song! The grandkids gathered around and sang to her as we cut the cake. Nick played "Happy Birthday" on the piano which led all the kids to it for some Christmas carols. Jon has a way of gathering them all together. It was sweet. Lauren gave a great solo of "Silent Night" and Becca and Addie sang "Go Tell It On The Mountain" before we all opened gifts.

Josiah and Addie's Christmas Program

Josiah's class actually had their own part in the Christmas program this year. It was crazy with all the little kids crying, getting up, walking all over the place, and wanting their mommies and daddies. BUT soooooo cute too, because they were clapping and singing. You can see by this photo that Josiah was stealing the show.....he loved the attention, until he started to stand up..and his teacher made him sit back down....that was the end of it! I think everyone heard him screaming over the other kids singing. He was very unhappy!

Addie did great in her part of the program. She actually smiled while she sang and I could see her mouth moving! It was a miracle!!! She loves her bestie "Lilly". They do everything together!

A Christmas To Remember

Here are a few pics from the program! We were so touched that it mainly was centered around Jesus - there were even a few "Amen's" from the crowd. The last song was "Happy Birthday Jesus" and all the nativity was displayed. I think they could've had an altar call at the end, it was so moving! We are BLESSED to live in an area that is CHRIST centered! With this being a public school, Jon and I were blown away by just how much they honored Him! JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON!! LET'S NOT FORGET!!!!
