Flying

This morning Jerry and Marlene took me and Shane to Root Ranch for breakfast. We flew in on Jerry's plane and had breakfast. The view on the way was beautiful. There was fog covering the valleys for as far as we could see. 

The ranch is completely isolated. There are no roads leading in, the only way to get there is to fly out. But it is well worth the flight. Good food and gorgeous views. 

We are so blessed!  What a beautiful country we live in!

Tessa's first day of preschool!

She really was excited to go even if she looks a little grouchy. When we got there she kept looking out at the swings telling me "first I wanna play in dat then I wanna watch movie on the big thing". I had to break it to her that she had to stay in the classroom and listen to the teacher. Hmmm we'll see how this goes. 

First day of school!

My big boy started second grade!  What happened to my little baby!  I keep telling him to stop growing up but he just laughs at me and keeps on growing.  He likes his Teacher so far and seems to be used to this routine already.  Doesn't he look so grown up with those glasses on?

This little girl started kindergarten this year! I'm still a little shell shocked that the screaming little bundle that we brought here when we moved in is old enough to be in school.  She is such a beautiful little girl inside and out. She is so sweet and kind and so full of happiness.  I love listening to her, she sees the world in the cutest ways. 

I asked her teacher how she was doing and she said "she's doing great but she's definitely not as quiet as her brother was." Hmm, will she take after her mother...my kindergarten teacher taped my mouth shut one day...

First Day of School

Kyler's first day of Kindergarten! When did he grow up??? I can't believe he's already in Kindergarten. I had a very emotional week. I couldn't believe my little boy had started school. Needless to say, he really loves it. I love hearing about everything he learns everyday. He actually will tell me what he learns and what he does at school. It's so nice!!!

Just to add to the emotions, my little Abby started preschool too! I can't believe that she is going to be four years old this year. She is 4 going on 18. When I dropped her off the first day she told her teacher that she would "listen and obey" and then when I picked her up she told me "I'm never, ever going back there again" (with the hand motions and all). When I told her that she had school again in two days, she simply said, "oh, ok". She sure keeps me on my toes.

Today she brought home her "all about me" poster. It said what her favorite things are and who her family members are. Then is asks "I am special because" and her answer was "Colt told me at Nonna's house." Then it asked how she helps others, her answer was "by handing out treats and lots of pancakes and waffles." :-)

Twin Falls Fair--Too Much Fun

Kyler was tired after all the fun and excitement of the fair. Shane carried him on his shoulders to the car because he was too tired to walk, and all of a sudden Kyler got really heavy on Shane's shoulder. This is why.

Twin Falls Fair- Rides

The kids really loved the rides at the fair. Kyler got a little carried away and took off to go on the slide fun house. He just ran through the gate, no tickets or anything, before we could stop him. Needless to say, he loved the fun house and slide but he didn't get to go on the last ride with the other kids. He was bummed but we all had to laugh. It seems like every year he manages to do something to "get" the carnies. Last year he took a toy out of one of the buckets by one of the games tents. (We made him give it back and this year we gave the attendant the tickets so he didn't go on the thing for free)
