Book Recommendation

We just read the book "Life is so Good" written by George Dawson and Richard Glaubman, for our book group this month. I really enjoyed this book. In this book, 103-year-old George Dawson, a slave's grandson who learned to read at age 98, reflects on his life and offers valuable lessons about life in a simple unassuming way. Great read!!

The "Mii" Halverson Family by Wii

This is our animated family according to the wii fit
exercise game. Did I mention that I am the family hula
hoop champion. Joshua actually has video of my championship
round but I really don't want to scare anyone. Definately two thumbs
up on the wii fit except for the fact that it weighs you,
and asks you why you didn't work out yesterday. Okay
maybe that is a good thing since we are heading to Hawaii.

Blog Challenges

Thank you to my friends who give the blog challenges. Keep them coming. I have decided that I work really well with a know deadline. I always have all of these ideas and plans but somehow they don't seem to get accomplished and then someone gives me a challenge and deadline and magically I have instant motivation!
Thank you!!!

Project 365 Challenge

My friend Jenn brought to my attention a challenge for the year to take one picture a day for the next year so that you can see what the year looks like. This challenge was found in Creating Keepsakes Magazine. I am on board and I am having a great time deciding what the picture of the day will be. Its fun to keep the camera at arms reach and to document my wonderful family and life. If you want to join in just catch up by taking 8 pictures and then go forward!!
Thanks for forwarding the challenge Jenn.
I'm also working on Challenge two for the year. Clean out a closet. Hopefully done by tomorrow.

Hawaii here we come

Have I ever mentioned how much I love my husband. We have been so blessed in our 18 years of marriage. Those of you who know us well, know that we got married during Army flight school. Which translates into married on Saturday, back at flight school at Ft. Rucker Alabama training again at 4:00 AM on Monday morning. Needless to say we never had an official honeymoon. Although I must say being married to Scott has been an extended honeymoon for the last 18 years! So we are making it official and finally going on that Honeymoon to Hawaii that we have always wanted to do!!! The trip is booked and now we are counting down!!!!!
YEAHHH!!!!!!
