Tis the Season-for tons of holidays and birthdays

Lots of happenings lately: Halloween, Blake's birthday, Abbey's Birthday, Thanksgiving and getting our Christmas tree. Here's the best part:

Calvin=Obi-Wan Kenobi, Levi=monkey, Abbey=Tinker Bell, Addison=Scooby-Doo, Blake=Yoda
Ready for Trick-or-treating! This was Blake's first time and he loved it, he was done after about half an hour and ready to eat treats, he sat down on the sidewalk and started rifling through his bucket and refused to walk another step. Calvin and Abbey were awesome, they are finally big enough that I can just walk along the sidewalk and they will run up to the doors and do their thing. It was a lot of fun, and it wasn't too cold=a perfect Halloween!

So here is Blake's birthday, he loves to play air guitar so we got him a real play guitar, which he was really excited about, although he still plays air guitar more often than his play one. Also, he LOVES Sesame Street, so I made him a Cookie Monster cake and he loved it!

Abbey's 6th birthday-she got lots of cute dresses, some girly toys, a new bike and had a Minnie Mouse cake. She was a happy girl.

Below is Blake really enjoying his Thanksgiving. Yummy.

Here we are getting our Christmas tree, we drove up in to the mountains to a beautifully scenic spot that also had great prices on their trees. It was great fun, and we got an awesome tree.

School + Pumpkins= Fall Fun!!

The kids were really ready for school to start by the time it finally did-we had a two week delay due to a teacher strike. Calvin is loving 2nd grade and his teacher is amazed at how well he can read, and Abbey is the best kid in her Kindergarten class (we know this for sure because she told us  herself).

What a bunch of cuties I have! Out in the front of the pumpkin patch they had tons set up and they were walking through them like a maze, Calvin and Abbey ended up following Blake and I just thought it was so cute to see them all in a row.

There were photo-ops stationed around the fields, so we tried out a couple of them-trying to get all five kids to look at the camera at the same time is like herding cats. The kids had lots of fun with their cousins, though!

Blake had a great time running around getting all muddy, even though he looks mad in this picture-he was tired of smiling for me. He wanted to take home all the pumpkins he could lift.

Success! We got four pumpkins-one for each kid, plus an extra for Calvin so he can make a cannibal jack-o-lantern.

We ended by taking a hay ride-much easier on the parents than the corn maze!

Master Calvin

The Force is strong with this one---Calvin had a great 8th birthday-including getting this Jedi costume (he is going to be ObiWan for Halloween).

The whole Argetsinger family (minus Uncle Jared who lives in Australia and Papa who was on a business trip) met at Rainforest Cafe to wish Calvin a happy birthday, it was a lot of fun and we even met ChaCha! Unfortunately, Blake was terrified of him and tried to get him to stay away by saying, "bye-bye, bye-bye, bye-bye." It was pretty dang cute, even though he was on the verge of panicking.

Yummy R2-D2 cake! Happy Birthday Calvin!

Busy Busy Summer

Blake is too cool by the pool.

We met up with Tamlynn Clyde and Bekah Dunkley and their kids, two of my college roommates who I hadn't seen in about 12 years, it was a lot of fun. Here are all the kids at the Paleontology museum on BYU campus. Hopefully I get all these names in the correct order: Left to right: Cader D., Calvin H., Matthew C., Topher D., Blake H., Phoebe D., Baby Maggie D., Elizabeth C., Abbey H.
Swim lessons were a big hit, I couldn't find a good one of Calvin to post here, but he almost always had his head under the water, so it was hard to get a good one of him. As usual, the lessons made a big difference in how confident the kids are in the water, especially true for Blake and Abbey. Blake is now as wild in the water as he is out of the water-he belly flops, dunks his head sideways and tries to walk in as deep as he can! Abbey now goes down the big slide alone and even went off the diving board!

At the Monte L. Bean Life Science museum on BYU campus with cousin Bailey, they got to hold a snake, too, which they thought was pretty awesome.
Camping with the Marlers and Davises, always a fun time. The kids built this "fort" and worked really hard on it, they were very pleased with themselves.
We were camping in the amazingly beautiful Olympic National Park, this is Hurricane Ridge, the views are spectacular.

At the beach in southern Oregon, we spent a week there visiting Larry's grandma with his parents, very fun.

Abbey Loses A Tooth

Abbey lost her first tooth in April, she lost the second one (the one right next to it) a few weeks later. The two permanent teeth were coming in before these even came out, so she was never even toothless!

Our little beauty.

Calvin is such a handsome boy! He loved the tie he picked out because it was green and had little dogs on it.
