Went picture perfect. He had private lessons, they had more life guards, and they got their classes back on track with what they were suppose to be teaching.
Evyn said, "My new teacher pay good attention to me. He a good teacher. "

It didn't go very well. Within minutes of this picture the instructor put her attention to fixing one of the little girls hair and Evyn went under. We spotted him floating to the top of the water face down. After screaming (for what seemed like forever) and running to jump in, the instructor finally pulled him up. I had no idea how fierce this mama bear really is! Long, very long story...but Evyn came out of everything good. He is doing great!
I pulled him from that class and the facility is giving him a private instructor since that is the only teacher during that time. We also met with all of the staff to ensure this never happens to another child or family. They admitted that many of their processes and procedures failed that day. They were in agreement that changes needed to be made and they were willing to start making them NOW!
It has been a hard week for Shan and I, but we are thankful for God's hand in protecting our little boy. We are also thankful that Evyn is excited to go back to the pool...that's huge! God never leaves us and shows his goodness moment by moment.
Lexen jumped off the wall and went all the way under today. And Jacoby can float on his back! They are doing awesome!
Evyn's class got canceled for session 1, but he starts on 2 weeks. He had been a trooper waiting patiently!
