We spent Father’s Day camping. This was Jacoby’s first
camping trip. We had been telling the boys for a couple of days that we were
going camping – we assumed they knew what that meant. When we got to our site
and had everything set up, Jacoby looks around and says, “When are we going
camping?” it was priceless.
The boys had a blast riding their red car as fast as they
could down the steep, bumpy dirt roads. It looked so fun that dad and mom had
to give it a try. Little Tikes makes very durable toys that’s for sure!
Shan also set up some climbing ropes for them to monkey
around on. They found lots of things to keep them busy, like, digging for
snakes, playing with the ants, breaking branches off the trees, roping things, chasing
chip-monkeys, and exploring for many hidden treasures.
Jacoby loved telling “pine cone stories” - Whoever had the
pine cone got to tell a story. It was cute, Jacoby always told the same story that
Shan had just finished telling. Lexen even got in a few stories – it’s fun
seeing what’s on their little minds!
The weather was great! We just had to plan nap times around
the afternoon rain and hail mixture.
Jacoby – “mom you can
tell I’m cold”
Mom – “how is that?”
Jacoby – “because I have
ducky bumps”
We had a great weekend together and can’t wait for the next
adventure!
