Oh happy day!

We didn’t think it could be done, but Jacoby is almost fully potty trained! Yay! This might even be better than kids taking their first steps or getting their first tooth! :)

River Day

We spent our Memorial Day enjoying the sight and sounds of our beautiful mountains. We stopped off Left Hand Cannon to play in the river and have a picnic.

The water was freezing, but Jacoby asked if he could walk in it. Jacoby and dad had a great time walking up and down the river bank and jumping across rocks. Lexen wasn’t so into that, so he hung out with mom and played in the river rock and hiked around.

Happy 2^nd Birthday Lexen!!!

I never realized how fast time goes by, until I had kids. It feels like some days seem to last forever and some are just too short.  When I was pregnant with Lexen a dear friend told me to cherish each moment I had with him – no matter how challenging. I remember this each day as I’m being hit with how fast these little guys change.

We are blessed daily by this amazing kid! He’s truly one of a kind!

When I told him that his birthday was coming up, he looked up at me with bright eyes and said, “yay, me grow and grow, me 2 now me drive orange car”. “Slow down little guy you’re 2 not 22,” I told him.

What Lexen wants to be when he grows up = CHEF

Lexen's favorite books = Prepositions and Uno's Garden

Lexen's favorite foods = Sweet potatoes, black beans and soup

Lexen's favorite color = Blue

Lexen asked for a "big boy bed" for his birthday!

Happy Anniversary!

It’s been 7 amazing years! It feels like just yesterday I was peeking through the doors of the church as my groom waited for me to become his wife. God is the best matchmaker - when we let Him lead and guide our lives!

I can’t wait to see what the next 70+ years has in store for us! I love you Shan and thank you shinning a light on my strengths and encouraging me in times of weakness.

Forever One

Zoo Day!

Shan took the day off and we headed to the zoo. I thought the main event would be all of the amazing animals, but all the boys cared about was finding their poop. At first I thought they would just grow out of it, but then I heard a 10 year old boy pointing it out, then a 40 year old man doing the same. *sigh* I guess boys will be boys!

The weather was great and everyone had a wonderful time!!! 

Our Garden

Since we can’t have a garden we thought we’d get creative. We have never tried anything like this, but if it goes well it’ll save us lots of trips to the store!
