Zoo Day!

We had so much fun today at the zoo. Our friends were able to join us which made it even better! The kids got so excited seeing all of the animals, it was so cute! Lexen and Jacoby took their first ride on the carousel. Jacoby had a blast; Lexen wasn’t too sure about it. He’ll be ready for it next year. Hopefully we can go one more time before the summer is over!

Baby Food

This is what I do once or twice a week. Since Lexen loves to eat I’m always making food! After a trip to the store to buy all organic fresh veggies, I steam them and blend them up! I try to freeze as much as possible, which has come in very handy many times!

Today we made up zucchini, summer squash, carrots, asparagus, beets, beet greens, cucumber, green beans and butternut squash.

This is one kid who loves his veggies!

1st Hair Cut

Daddy gave Lexen his first hair cut this afternoon. It was time to cut off all of his curls – not sure where he got those. Wink Wink!

PS- No I didn’t keep any of the hair. I did think about it as I watched the curls float off in the breeze though.

30 Yes, It’s True…

...I turned 30 this year!

When you're young you never think you'll be 30 (it’s soo… old), but at the same time you have many hopes and dreams of who you'll be, where you'll be or what you'll have. My path has changed many times over the years, but I know I'm right where I need to be, doing exactly what I'm to be doing!

Although our path's change we always end up right where we need to be!

Weekend Worriers - Day 2

We conquered 8 miles at Miller Rock. We love this trail! It runs along the river, has plenty of shade and Bella can be off her leash most of the time.

Once at the end of the trail, there’s a huge rock (Miller Rock) that you can boulder up to the top and have a beautiful 360 deg mountain view. Of course we hadn't planned on climbing to the top since we had Lexen; however, that was before I turned around to see my husband scaling the side of the rock with Lexen in his arms. I wasn’t about to be left behind! So up, up, up we went!

Once to the top it was all worth it! After his big adventure Lexen took the opportunity to nap on the way down the trail. What a wonderful blessing to be with my family and enjoy everything God has created for us!

Weekend Worriers - Day 1

We conquered 4 miles at Rabbit Mountain. I’m sad to say this was our first hike of the summer. We packed up the dog, the baby and were off. It was a great day with the family, beautiful Colorado and the hot, hot sun!
