Maxwell's 1st Christmas

Christmas was a little different this year, to say the least. My family came over from Colorado to be with us, seeing as traveling with a new baby was out of the question. They are so great to drive all that way! We spent the 23rd with the Hadlocks, and had fun watching all the grand kids see Max for the first time. On Christmas Eve we slept over at Grandma and Grandpa Clark's, and enjoyed being with my family for Christmas!

Sleepy Baby

We've really enjoyed having Max home with us these past few weeks. We are still trying to get him to figure out that night time is for sleeping. He is an excellent sleeper during the day, though.

He's Here! We still can't believe it! A month early, and still healthy and strong. Maxwell Peter Hadlock made his debut on November 29, 2007. He weighed 6 lb. 7 oz. and was 19.5 in long. He is so adorable! We are so excited that Max is finally here with us!

It's almost here! The day we get to meet our little guy is rapidly aproaching, just over a month away! His due date is December 26, 07. I know, I know, the day after Christmas. Could we have planned it any worse for the poor little guy? A Christmas birthday, how sad! Oh well, hopefully he won't too mad at us when he get's older. In the meantime, we are sure excited to get him here! Especially me! I have been lucky that there haven't been any serious complications during the pregnancy, but there is much to be said about sharing your body with another human being. Ouch!

We just enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving with Sam's family this year! It was my first one without my family, and although I missed them dearly, I really enjoyed spending the time with my in-laws. They are such wonderful people, I sure got lucky!

I did have one sad moment this holiday, though! After a scrumptious Thanksgiving feast, we all settled downstairs to kick back and enjoy watching the newly released Hairspray. As the movie played, I glanced down only to notice that my feet were swollen for the first time during the pregnancy. It's crazy to see your toes look like little hot dogs!
