Chicken Coop

We finally had a free Saturday so we framed our chicken coop. We still need to wrap it in wire and finish the hen house portion. Saturday's are hard to come by right now so we will have to squeeze it in after work.

Toothless Grin

Allyson wanted to show pretty much everyone that she finally lost that dangling 4th tooth.

Allyson's first Kindergarten Work

My first Blog EVER~

So darn cute!
Allyson is doing well. She has made a couple of friends... When I take her to school in the morning we have to wait outside the classroom until the teacher opens the door at 8:00 am. In the meantime all the kids and some of their parents are all congregated outside. Allyson hangs on my leg until her friend Brianna shows up and then I am suddenly invisible... She goes into the classroom, turns in any papers she has completed, picks up her name tag, puts in the inbox, puts her backpack in her cubby, finds an activity and takes a spot on the carpet... as soon as Brianna is settled, Allyson calls her over. I can not tell you how cute this is to watch... I stand outside all pathetic like watching my baby girl grow up right before me. The attachment is the first classwork that she did.
She has had one full week this week. She completed one packet of homework... That was a struggle. She is exhausted in the evenings. She fell asleep by 6:30 last night. Our weekly schedule is pretty hectic. She is ready a book, mostly from memory, but doing great. she is hoping to get a Bono Star (a good job award) from her teacher.

Brittany is working really hard. She hasn't had anytime to complain yet. She gets up at 5:30 and is going to seminary... she enjoys it. Matt takes her and others who are ready to High School from church in the mornings. then he is off to work. Britt puts in her full day, rushes home, and starts her homework... and then gets a shower and crashes... Kids are so busy they don't have any energy to get into trouble. Britt thinks she will take a break from clubs this year because she is so busy... we will see... don't know if she can help herself.

All in all a good first full week of school. (they had half a week last week). thought you might enjoy...

Brittany's 8th Grade Graduation

Here are some pictures from Brittany's 8th grade graduation. She is off to high school this fall. Yikes.

Britt was the vice-president for her class so she was able to sit up on stage and then lead the pledge of allegiance. The girls on either side of her have been her friends while growing up. One is the class president and the other was the valedictorian. It was pretty cool.

The graduate feeling pretty relieved.
