Day 2 - Legoland Malaysia
Met the rest for breakfast early morning. The food was alright: your usual bread&butter breakfast.
went back to the room to get ready and headed out to the bus terminal at checkpoint. Just look out for Bus LG1 and the one way ticket to Legoland cost RM4 (~SGD$1.50)
(the bus schedule to and fro Legoland via JB Sentral)
The 45 mins bus ride was quite a smooth one, with one stop at Larkin Sentral.
The Big Sign from afar
The bus we took from JB Sentral
Thank you GX for booking the tickets online!
The iconic lego-signboard.
and yes, IT WAS BLOODY HELL RAINING. DAMN SUAY.
and because it was a weekend + school holiday, the number of people there was insane.
Went over to the "shopping area" (I don't know how to name it) and the guys bought umbrellas to brave the rain.
it's something like resorts world sentosa. dunno, have that feeling lol. but it's not fully ready lah. still very empty. shall wait till 2014 to come back for the water park.
Anvy's and my bodyguards LOL.
OFF TO LEGOLAND!
since it was already raining, we went ahead with the wet rides. It's something like the Jurassic Park Water Ride in USS, or if you are in my age group, the "wild wild wet" ride at the old Escape Theme Park. I knew there was a similar ride, so I brought the ponchos that was given to us during the PSY showcase. HAHAHAA. Anvy bought a kid's poncho because the one for adult was already sold out. The others went without any protection.
Pharoah's Revenge was the EPIC one. It was a playground for kids, but we didn't know mah, so we went in and got kicked out by the staff. HAHAHAH. I cannot forget how the staff inside was like: "THIS IS FOR KIDS BODOH".
I LOVE THIS PHOTO ALOT. One being GX and ANVY damn sweet, another being JUSTIN is willing to be in a photo! HAHAHA and the umbrellas bah.
why you so cute??
Took the 4D show next after photobombing.
It's similar to the SHREK 4D at USS. BUT THE SHREK ONE IS WAYYYYYYYYY BETTER. THIS ONE DAMN CUI CAN? I was damn angry and angst when watching it. The effects were poorly done, it's like 该有 effects 没有 effects,不该有,just spam like mad. and who uses soap bubbles for effects. my hair was soapy after the show. ANGST.
awwww love the poncho! wonder if Anvy threw it away already??
figurines all made with Lego bricks!
Queued for another show at the amphitheatre. Turns out it's for kids, teaching them how to spot the dangers you can find at home. -_- but we managed to had our own laugh - because one of the entertainers looked like Kwang Soo from Running Man.
Went for lunch at Mahattan Fish Market. Nothing to talk about. The worst meal we had in JB.
wanted to queue for other rides but the queues were insane. We have to wait for 60 mins for every ride. Imagine the people queuing for that (i think) 30-sec ride? Kill me please. but I was sad I couldn't get to ride the roller coasters. They all looked fun and nice from ground.
our last ride of the trip: the tu-tu-train. I don't know why but I love this ride alot. It never fails to make me smile, no matter whether it's in Taipei's Leofoo Village, KL's Sunway Lagoon or Legoland. (esp when you hear kids scream when there's nothing scary about it. LOL)
<3
Our moods were all dampened by the rain. so we decided to call it a day. but before leaving, we braved through the rain and visited the MiniLand!
hahahaha. am very addicted to a chinese palace drama right now. One of my goals is to visit The Forbidden City soon.
and Uniquely Singapore.
motorised SMRT bus. It really moves.
and MY VENUE FOR 21st BIRTHDAY!!
Left Legoland as it started raining again and we didn't have to mood to continue. Went back to the hotel and we went searching for local fare! Was researching about good local food and stumbled upon Meldrum Walk. Situated just behind our hotel, Meldrum Walk is a back alley street full of hawkers on pushcarts. Spilt into two areas, you get half a street full of your malay local fare - mutton soup, nasi goreng, mee soto, mee goreng, while you get all sorts of chinese local fare at the other half of the street. Finger-licking-good BBQ chix wings, Char Kway Teow, Carrot Cake and BBQ SEAFOOD.
Fried Oyster FTW. This uncle is damn good at what he is doing and keeping calm when the oil scalds him. Somemore he does 8 to 9 orders at one go and the queue is mad long. I heard the lady boss telling one customer that the wait is about 45 mins.
brace yourselves. we bought BBQ Stingray, Sambal Cockles, BBQ Chix Wings, Fried Oyster and one packet of Char Kway Teow each. YUMYUM.
DAY3 - Check out and BYE JB
Slept in and almost missed Breakfast Service. Went back to sleep after breakfast until check in time. Shopped around City Square Mall and ended our 3D2N trip across the causeway.
