12 Weeks Pregnant!

So far I've been feeling great except for a little bit while I was staying with my mom. As long as I'm eating enough protein and drinking enough water I feel just fine.

The King and I

Such an awesome experience! Jared was a guard and I was one of the king's wives. The costumes, the choreography, the acting, and the singing was all so fantastic.

Our new car.

We bought a 2004 Honda Odyssey Tuesday night. We're planning sometime in the next year on having another baby and we need a bigger car. This one has a dvd player in it and the power doors that slide open. The kids are so in love with this car that they get mad when we start heading back home. Ethan threw such a huge fit this morning when I made him take the bus instead of riding in the new car. Having him ride the bus is super convenient because if I drive him to school I have to park the car in the parking lot and then unbuckle the twins and then walk them all the way into their classroom. So no more Lightning McQueen movies in our car unless we're going on a long trip. This picture isn't actually my car but just one that I swiped off of the internet since my camera got left in Grantsville.

Baby Bunnies

Our baby bunnies were born either Friday or Saturday. I'm not sure which since I was down in Provo hanging out with Melissa and Brian all day on Friday and then on Saturday morning we looked out there and found 7 babies all piled up in the nest.

Baby bunnies where are you?

Our rabbit is just about to have her babies and its been snowing outside all day and isn't supposed to stop until Monday! I'm so worried about her and those little babies freezing out in the cold. She pulled her fur out today and burrowed down in the wood shavings that I put in her nesting box. Her pile of pulled out fur goes about four inches deep. I felt around in there this morning to see if she already had babies in there, but there was nothing but fur so far. I checked later on and still nothing. She has a hutch with a roof and three walls that are covered with wood but I still draped a blanket and a tarp over her cage to keep the wind out. I wish I could bring the entire thing inside but I don't have a cage big enough that's set up for an indoor rabbit that can still fit the nesting box. By the end of next week it should be getting up to 60 degrees and hopefully they will stay warm in the nesting box until then.

Cafe Rio Pork salad...sooo good!

Made this for dinner tonight. It was soo good. I think I'm in love, and I also think I'm gonna be sick now because I ate too much.

Realtor's visit

Jared and I decided on a Realtor on Saturday in between projects. We wanted someone that's been really successful selling homes so we opened the phone book and the person with the biggest ad was the person we called. So far that's been a really good idea. She came over last night and had an entire binder full of information on the market in our neighborhood and the history of the performance for this area for the past two years in comparison to the rest of Utah. Then she had homes that were also on the market...because of living in Utah they were both in our ward and we know them both well (I've been in both their houses too) They are both smaller houses and so they are listed at a lower price than what we'd do.

Our house is one of the bigger homes in the neighborhood. We really never need this much space, but we got it because it was such a good deal and we kind of wanted it as an investment.

The Realtor is forming a huge list of stuff to fix and how much she thinks it will cost with pictures that she took. She will be sending all that to us in an email. I'm so impressed with how tech savvy she is. She'll have a number to text on the for sale sign that will send people a text message with a link to our own website just for our house. We'll also have our house listed on several websites with tons and tons of pictures up. She thinks it will take 30 to 45 days for it to sell, and she recommends that we put it up in 6 weeks right before school lets out. Jared is feeling super stressed about it right now, and canceled his plans to go camping at the sand dunes this weekend so that we can have an extra weekend to get all this work done.

She wants us to replace the ceilings downstairs, finish painting the walls and carpet down there, and put up lights in the hallway. We have to put up closet doors in the kids bedrooms, baseboards in Becca's room, replace the outdated florescent lights in the kitchen, put down some trim around the bottom of the cabinets in the kitchen that we never put up, tile around the bathtub in the bathroom upstairs and we have to do a ton of work in the downstairs bathroom. The lights need to be fixed so that they actually work, we have to replace the floor, fix the toilet so that it doesn't rock, replace the vanity/sink. She wants us to replace the doors upstairs and move them to the basement because they are in better condition than the downstairs ones.

So we definitely have our work cut out for us.

Brazilian night

We had such a fun night last night. We went to have dinner with Richard and Heather Ford. Richard was Jared's mission companion in Brazil. We had a Brazilian night with Brazilian Fejoiada which is like beans and rice. We also had Brazilian potato salad, these noodles that was like baked spaghetti except more bland, and brazilian flan for dessert. We drank frozen limeade and guarana, this amazing Brazilian soft drink that tastes like a fruity ginger ale.

Home repairs

Got so much done yesterday, Very inspiring work training meeting, quick smoothie at McDonald's, then off to my niece's 4th birthday party at the gymnastics place, then Becca and I headed to a local grocery store to sell Girl Scout cookies with her troop.

After that we came home and worked on fixing stuff in our house with Jared's brother Cameron until 11pm. We got the basement taped and mudded, the entryway light so that it will at least turn on with one of the light switches, some of the baseboards caulked, the piano leg fixed, the backsplash sealed in the kitchen so that its shiny now, and Becca's bedroom's old beat up baseboards removed.

We made 3 trips to Lowe's, and on the last one we picked out a stain for the twins beds. We went with a red oak stain, and then we picked out a paint color for our basement. The only thing we could agree on was the same exact color that we have upstairs. I'm getting tired of it but at least I know it won't look horrible. I want to put down the same carpet down there that we have up here. Its going to look so great with freshly painted walls and brand new carpet. I'm a little bummed that the ceilings are so crappy. Someone put ceiling tiles up and several of them are damaged. There are some ghetto things going on with the closet lights down there too that we'll have to fix. Other than that there's just minor things like putting in baseboards and maybe replacing some doors.
