Hello! Here's an update to what I have been up to!
ROFL.
To sum up, other than working, I spend my time awake, EATING!!
For the benefit of my darlingg friend, Debs, who is across the earth and I can't communicate with her due to the time difference, I have been drowning in work doing 3 persons job for 1 person's salary T_T Hope these tough times end soon *hopeful*
Anyway! For those days that I actually manage to drag myself out with friends, it's always food and more food!! Hence, my current weight and size -__-"' Here are some pics taken recently!
Dim sum buffet! It was a Saturday but I had work that morning so I had to rush down and meet the girls!!! I thought I would arrive last..but as it turned out, i was on time!! I was even the 3rd to arrive ^^ This is only a small portion of the food we ate.
Oh my gosh! The durian ice-cream was soo good i had 2 servings of it. Thick slab of durian ice-cream between 2 thin pieces of biscuits. Yummss!!!!

I have been tilting my head ALOT in pictures recently. All thanks to a colleague who told me I look prettier from the side. HAHAHA so vain me have been tilting my head at an angle (more so than ever) in pictures. ROFL!
Erm, I don't know why i was scrunching my face like that but oh wells..it must have been the lack of sleep. I recall waking up at 6 that morning. Pardon the lack of make up and messy hair.

Ah there you see! Tilting my head again. Too much that it looks like my head and body is not connected T_T The colours turned out really nice so I decided to post it anyway.

I hate to admit it but I really think I aged a lot. !@#$%^&* Where has all the youthfulness gone!!! Come back to me, please!!

Ok last picture that has me in this post because I got progressively more haggard and refused to take any pictures.

WAAHH! Desserts at this chocolate place which name escapes me. Looks pretty but the taste wasn't as pretty.

This was really good though. I would go back for it anytime. Muahahaha! I thought I uploaded the main course too but I realised I didn't. Hahaha too lazy to upload it now. In any case, the main course were dishes that you can give it a miss. No loss.
OH MY GOSH!! I FINALLY WENT TO IPPUDO!!! LIKE FINALLY!!!!! Heard all the raving reviews and hype about it and was really excited to go! Finally went there with CY, who very kindly treated me because she got a promotion!! Congrats darlingg!! <3 No pictures of us though! Because I was in no state to have pictures taken *-*
But here are pictures of the food! This was Cy's. I can't remember what it is called..

And this was mine! Can't for the life of me remember what I ordered either T_T We had gyozas too and I thought I uploaded the picture here too but.........ermm...hahah I dont' know where it went.

Teehee!! The EGG!!! How the Japanese managed to cook it like that is beyond me. I love it!! *smacks lips* ^^
Overall, I personally felt that the food was over-rated. Probably because I'm not a food connoisseur and don't know how to appreciate the food. The food was good but not worth the wait! We waited more than 45 minutes even though we went at what we thought were off-peak hours. We went around 230pm on a Saturday afternoon i THINK. Shikes. My memory fails me.

And then another day after work, we went to ClubHotel!! Norvin's surprise for us hahah! He booked the place more than a month in advance and refused to let us know where the venue was until the day itself. He was super secretive!!!
It was a boutique hotel methinks and the picture below was taken when GH and I were waiting for the rest to turn up. The trains broke down that day and they were all late. This was located at the lift lobby..well..if you even consider that a lobby. We were sitting there playing with our own phones trying to pass time.
Goodness. I don't know what I'll do without Natsu, my beloved BB, anymore. Somehow, I manged to live for the past 2 years without a smartphone when everyone else had a phone that connected them to the internet. And I was actually happy then! I didn't see all the hype about carrying a smartphone. A phone is to call and sms people. Any phone that does these is fine by me! In fact, I was often annoyed by people who jabbed their phones ever so often when we meet up for a meal. Sorry to say, but I have joined this league of people *-* I'm guilty of communicating with people who are not sitting right across me during a meetup. Oh, the reason why I suddenly talked about smartphones was because the wait that night was so long and painful I was so glad I had Natsu which allows me to surf the net!! I was so soooo soooooo hungry then!! Moreover, after a long and hard day at work, hunger pangs were not something I wanted to deal with! Haha! So it was a good way of distracting myself!

Following photos are courtesy of Norvin because the both of us ate actually the same dishes.
We ended up eating at some fine dining restaurant and the servings were painfully slow (Recall I was ravenous by then. Otherwise, the timings would have been fine over casual chats ^^)
This was the starters/appetizers...Artfully and tastefully arranged huh.

Next up was the duck salad. Despite my hunger, I didn't finish eating this. I'm not a fan of salads.

Instead of the duck salad, GH had this.

The main course - Sea Bass.
This was awesome. I absolutely loved this.
I could have eaten 2 portions of this!!
Lastly, the COCONUT creme brulee. At first, I was pretty skeptical about this. I had many creme brulees before but COCONUT brulee????
As it turned out, it was not as weird as it sounds.
The coconut taste was overpowering in the first mouthful but the subsequent mouthfuls got more pleasing!!
See the 2 little cups there? The yellow one is green tea (supposedly to remove the strong coconut aftertaste) and the other is coconut juice. The yellow strips are candied ginger. You might be thinking..why such a combination??

We were equally puzzled and Norvin decided to ask the very friendly waiter. Unfortunately, he merely introduced to us what were on our plates rather than tell us HOW to start appreciating the dish. By the way, he's French and we had problems communicating hahaha.
Since we had no choice left, we decided to attack, *ahem* I mean, appreciate, the dish in what we thought was the "correct" way. We took a scoop of the creme brulee as it was. Next, the guys poured the coconut juice over the creme brulee. I didn't because I thought the coconut taste was strong enough. Then, Norvin made an amazing discovery! The "spiciness" of the candied ginger didn't taste as strong after the coconut creme brulee! I forgot to mention we ate the candied ginger before we started the creme brulee and we are totally not fans of ginger, candied or not.
Yea, so anyway Norvin discovered that the ginger doesn't taste so bad after the coconut creme brulee because it somehow negated some of the strong taste of the ginger. In any case, I didn't finish the ginger because I still don't like it even after trying his method. HAHAHA.
Boy, was I full after the meal! Thanks to Norvin who introduced to us the place and the discount that he had so that we could snag such a deal for fine-dining cuisines!
However, I think the other restaurant goers hated us. There were 5 of us and there is no way we could have kept our voices down in that small little confined space -.- Everything we said sounded amplified. I don't believe hearing other people's voices! Haha! The rest of the customers were couples who appeared to be out for a cosy, romantic dinner but we had to spoil it. It wasn't intentional though. It's really hard for a group to hang out at a fine-dining restaurant afterall. HAHA.
