since i have to go to the dr. nearly every single day this week, lets NOT talk about it, i decided i needed sum holiday cheer!
lissa, caroline and myself went out and bought the goods
i made caroline wear/play in the materials

this thing is gonna be rad when it's done. it's taking quite a long time but anything to take my mind off my mind:)

Dear Blog

Tuesday Travels

on tuesday afternoon we made the trek across the state to spend thanksgivingtime with my dad, step-mom and both of my brothers!
the skies were super awesome as the sun began to set

our bedroom is perfection here
the best bed ever and my favorite ugly doll all nestled in the pillows

and even though my brother has his DRIVING PERMIT, which COMPLETELY FREAKS ME OUT because that means he's growing up up up, he still keeps it kid-classy by drinking lime-aid straight from the pitcher.

my Heart

the girl i adore, one of my best friends on planet earth, is graduating!

today we shot some of her senior pictures
words cannot explain what her "moving onto the next phase of life" is doing to my heart
i am so happy for her. i am so proud of her.
i am so very much going to miss every piece of her

and as we drove home from shooting
we were silent, our hands hung out the rolled down windows, the perfect florida fall air filled our lungs and flew through our hair
and i introduced caroline to Ani DiFranco

i will FOREVER marvel at these hands....
at the veins, in the wrists, that pump from a heart, which can cut deep into mine

tonight i have been listening to annie's 1st full-length record, Fool,
and i've been remembering,
the first time i heard the song Believable.

we were in the house that annie grew up in
in our quaint little town of franklin, michigan
annie shut the glass doors of the room which held the piano
sat herself down and without hesitation belted this jam out for me
then, per usual, she turned her chin over her shoulder and asked
"you like?"
to which i replied:
"you play that song AGAIN, right NOW!"

i thought i would share,
so you could understand my need for a repeat performance

the strangest dream
this week has been BRUTAL- mentally and physically
i keep having such wicked nightmares, ones so bad that i'm scared to sleep
i just can't seem to keep myself collected
constantly falling apart
and as my brother and i quote
"every wave is tidal, if you hang around you're going to get wet"
well, i'm drenched!
on a positive note: the shop has been doing EXTREMELY well this month:)

Molecular LOVE?

apparently my oh-so-cool-nerd-of-a-husband is really rubbing off me these days. he's a high school physics teacher, he majored in mechanical engineering. he basically speaks a language COMPLETELY foreign to me.
when i found myself drawing some molecular love on a train case the other day (above photo) i was taken a bit by surprise. but hey, i'm all for branching out:)
