Gianna's 1st Preschool Christmas Program

First, I apologize for getting this posted so late.  I admit that I forgot about it.  Anyway, Gianna experienced her first preschool Christmas program.  She had seen Isabella do this for 2 years and now it was her turn.  She was excited!  She did such a great job and we enjoyed watching all of the kids.  It's always so cute to see.  There is a video at the end of the pictures!  Enjoy!

We hope you all had a very Merry Christmas!   Hoping that the new year is going well so far for you too!!

We have a Kindergartener!

Today was the first day of Kindergarten for Isabella!  It is hard to believe this day has finally arrived!  She was so excited to go today and she had a great day!!  We had decided that she will only go half day, so she's there only 3 short hours. (Short for Mom anyway.)  She doesn't even eat lunch there. When asked what her favorite part is, she says "recess"!  Why wouldn't it be?!  :)

Her little cousin Jackson, who is 6 months older than her, is also in the same class.  How fun to be going to school with your cousin!  So far, she has told us about the rules of school and was excited to have music and gym.  I told her that she will also have a technology class.  She will be a pro with computers by the time she is 6!  She is very excited about that class.

Yesterday, she told me that she never wants to eat lunch at school, because the cafeteria smells.  Ha Ha!  Well, I hate to burst her bubble......it will happen in a year.

She is waiting to line up.  She really wanted to just play on the playground.

First in line.

A 3 year old too?

On Saturday, our baby Gianna turned 3!!  Time has gone so fast!  She enjoyed the day with the family and went out for pizza, her choice.
On Sunday, we had the family over for a little Sofia the 1st party!  It was a fun weekend!

Happy 3rd Birthday Gianna!

It's Great to be 5!

On July 12, Isabella turned 5!  Yes, we can hardly believe it either.  She has talked about being 5 for a long time now.  She is loving it so far!!

We had an ice cream social birthday party for her.  She invited a few little friends over for that. Her favorite part of the party was the pinata!  Then we had family over for dinner and more cake!

Ready for her friends to arrive.

Friends!

Pinata time!!

Everyone got a turn to swing at it!

Waiting for the candy to drop.

My attempt at a cake.

I made ice cream cone cupcakes for the kid party!
I also made ice cream cone sugar cookies for the party favors!
Favors all ready to go.

Grandma was here for a visit, especially for Isabella's 5th birthday.

An update on how well Isabella has grown.  At her 5 year physical, she has finally made it on the growth chart.  She gained 5 1/2 pounds in a year, putting her at 30.5 lbs.  I know....huge!  ;)
She also grew 3 1/4 inches, putting her at 40.5 inches tall.  Even though she is still a little bitty thing, at least we know she is continuing to grow well.  Her goal is to be able to sit in a booster seat, instead of her carseat.  That might take awhile still.

1st Dance Recital

Over the weekend, Isabella participated in her first dance recital.  The name of her song/group was Cuddlebugs.  She had a few weeks of rehearsal's, that lasted a couple of hours each time.  When it came time for the actual show, they were very well prepared and did a fabulous job!  Isabella was so excited and really enjoyed doing it.  We may have a future dancer and I am happy about that!

Dress rehearsal.  Thanks to a neighbor for this picture.

Isabella with sisters, who also are our babysitters.  The one on the right, also danced in the recital, in a handful of routines.

She posed herself for this picture.  We might be in trouble, because she loved wearing the make-up.  Especially the lipstick.  She asked if she could wear lipstick everyday!
Here is the video I took with my phone on dress rehearsal night. Isabella is on the right, on the end.

Graduation video

This is one of a few videos from the graduation.  Isabella said it was her favorite song. She is standing on the far right side, next to the little blonde hair boy.

Isabella is a pre-school graduate!

Isabella graduated pre-school on May 15.  She will now go to kindergarten in the fall!!  Her pre-school had a nice little graduation for the family, followed by a family picnic on the playground.  It really was a nice ending to her 2 years at pre-school.
