Mana from Heaven

So now we stand on the verge of parenthood. Anxiously counting weeks, unsure if they are moving too fast or dragging too slow. We want to see our sweet baby, but not before we are sure that we have picked the safest car seat and found the perfect rattle (any suggestions?).
To add to the list of overwhelming decisions, we also have to pick a name, actually two since we are not finding out baby's gender. How do you pick a name that will follow a person for their entire life? We wish we knew. So, until the day that we know if our baby is a Tarzan or a Jane, a Harry or a Sally, a Trajan or a Cleopatra, a ... well you get the picture ... until that day we have affectionately named our baby 'Mana'. Literally translated from Hebrew, Mana means "
what is it?" We found that amusing since, well, we don't know! But Mana is also the name of bread that God sent from heaven to sustain the Jews for 40 years in the desert. It represents the promise that God will always provide for us and take care of us. Something that we must keep in mind when the diaper bills start to stack up!

In the Beginning

In the beginning there was a boy and there was a girl. Generally these stories start with a man and a woman, and while at 18 our boy was technically a man, he was yet a boy. Our girl was just 16.
The boy and girl met on a high school track and the relationship hit the ground running. Sure the first date was a bit rocky, Rootbeer in the girl's lap was not so suave, but it was apparent early on that this was a relationship that would last.
Fast forward nearly ten years and the boy and girl have now become a man and a woman, as well as man and wife. After two new houses, several job changes, and countless other events, it is still apparent that this is a relationship that will last.
However, this couple now faces the biggest challenge yet: Parenthood. And while they are both certain that this is a relationship that will last, they are not sure that their sanity will.
