beautiful baby boy

Baby Boy is five months old.
My sweet little man is growing up too fast.
Pretty soon he won't want me to cuddle and hold him and I'll be aching for another baby.
With 2 so close together I don't know what to do with my hands if I'm not holding a baby.

Our little guy has the sweetest spirit.
He has a calming affect on our not-so-little family and we LOVE him.
Both the Cage and Kk can get him in belly rolls & do so often.
He loves his daddy but he is a momma's boy.
About time one of these babies I keep popping out likes me more ;-)

This sweet little guy is 99% of the time just this happy.
He is mellow and just likes to watch the action.

Completely out of order and from 4 different houses:)

The goods from all 5 Grandparents were great!
All the kids love everything they got and have been loving playing with it all.Daddy loves his boy.

"Stocking stuffers" from Gma Leeana
Aubri on her Favorite Christmas toy:)
Jayci-she sure loves babies! I hope she still feels the same when her own little brother comes?:)
Super siked about it all!
Sleepy boy
Oh my cheese ball child...notice the missing tooth.
The Cage and Aubri
"you mean there was stuff in these things under our tree?"
So patient
Very tired boy on Christmas Eve.
The table...we usually do our own Christmas Eve but with a sick baby we helped feed my parents and Sister's family.
Temple Square...So cold!
Thanks to our family we had an incredible Christmas. I loved every second of it. I am sad I didn't pull my camera out at Aunt Val's house on Christmas day but as usual the food and company was fabulous.

Gratitude In the Gospel

I have never had the love of Christ shown to me so greatly as I have this Holiday season.

With Michael heading back to school we have been working very hard to make this as smooth a transition as possible. I have been doing some side work for family and we have been trying to get things under control. We have been struggling, like so many growing families, and have been scraping by. But this month was our test.

When we went to tithing settlement this past week I handed the bishop a check for what was left to pay of our tithing...then I prayed. Prayed that nothing else would go through our account before Michael gets paid again, prayed I'd scrounge enough money together for Christmas, prayed for the blessings paying our tithing brings, prayed for the opportunity we have to pay in the first place. I have always had a testimony of tithing and fast offerings but after this week that testimony looks minuscule in comparison to the way I feel about it now.

We live in such an incredible ward of loving people who are so in tune to others situations. I know where some of the help we've received this holiday season has come from, but there is some I have no clue. I feel so blessed to have so many who love us and friends who care enough about us to help where they can.

I hope one day to be able to pay it forward ten fold. I hope the love of Christ is in all of your homes this holiday season and that everyone remembers the true meaning of this time of year. When you take the focus off the commercialization of Christmas, whether by choice or necessity, you begin to fully understand the gift Christ is in your life.

Not busy ;-)

I start every week thinking..."I have nothing I have to get done this week!" I am quickly reminded every Monday morning that is in deed not the case. I really would likely be bored to tears if I weren't so busy. But really someone should get the laundry, dishes, and cleaning done this week.

We had a Dr. apt this morning for Buddha & the Cage.

Buddha is up to normal weight now for a 5 month old instead of normal weight for a 2 month old.

The Cage 18 month stats...
Off the charts on the height and still chunky.

Kailye is skipping out on school today because she needed a flu shot and really I needed her help at the Dr. I'm so excited to have her home for a week and a half for Christmas break. This girl is an angel once she's been home for a few days.

"Mom!, MOm!, mOM!, MOM!....MOMMA!!", the Cage is up.

I love this time of year.

This my favorite part of our Holiday traditions!

Our fake, pre-lit, put it together and plug it in tree is one I am ver
y proud of. I bought it the year we bought our house on clearance for $20! All the ornaments came from a Roberts after Christmas sale for another $20! and...Voila! All the stockings! There is even one for the dog...until we have add to our not so tiny family.
Oh little town of Bethlehem.
All BRIGHT red & green!
This little guy is one of my favorites.
Michael and I have been to a few Holiday parties this year.
We are reall
y enjoying the family and friends.
I'm sure Natalie will be thrilled with this picture but really if she didn't want me to post it she probably shouldn't have jumped in:)...lol.
We are getting more and more busy as Christmas approaches and I love and hate it. I love seeing everyone and building new family traditions. I hate that so many forget the true meaning of this time of year. We have been SO blessed this past year and we are looking forward to what the Lord has in store for us in the coming year. We try to recognize the Saviors presence in our everyday lives and continue be grateful for it. We are very grateful for the sacrifice the Savior made for us and try to live up to the expectations set by that example. It is the true meaning of "where much is given, much is expected".

We tr
y daily to teach the sweet spirits we have on loan of the Savior and we are grateful for the season that centers around His birth. I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas season.

Here we go again.

The stress is setting in. Michael has decided to go back to school. He already has one degree and enough credit hours for a second but he wants to head in an entirely new direction. He has 2 or 3 semesters of pre-rec classes than he wants to head to Medical school. Michael has wanted to be a doctor as long as I've known him and, if you ask his family, as long as anyone can remember. I'm proud of him for finally deciding it's what he should do.

Now comes the scary part...I guess not scary but very real. 2 years at the U and then who knows where for Med school(Hopefully still Utah), 4 years of Med school, 3-6 years of residency, if you've added correctly that 9-12 years.

We have decided to make this work we need to move to Salt Lake. Which means we have got to sell our 4Runner to pay off debt and make it possible to rent our house. So if you know anyone who wants a well loved car or a house to rent let me know:)

this just stinks...

The Cage is with one Gma and KK is with the other.
I am home with Buddha by myself.

I started feeling sickl
y last night and went to sleep at 8:45...12:30AM it hit.
I'm blaming it all on HOLL
y!!

If we have to move out of state for Michael to go to Med school, these da
ys are really going to stink.
I am so blessed to live so close to all of m
y wonderful family.
Even more blessed the
y are so willing to take my precious babies.

yesterday was pretty good up until the sickness.
I went to lunch with m
y mother on her birthday
hung out with m
y family
helped a little one learn that having to go to the principals office is a BIG DEAL
and got to talk to m
y husband for a few minutes before I zonked out:)

Another Kailye Quote...

"Some people say I'm weird but I'm just going to keep that as a compliment"

Busy Day.

I have about 30 things to get done today and I'm hoping to get at least 3 of them accomplished:)

I need to help Santa find the one and only item the sweet 6 year old at my house asked for...
at a more economical price.

Head to DI to scope out snow boots and snow pants...
might be out of luck on that savings.

Grocery store-we need milk for the growing minds in our home & formula for the formerly skinny 4 month old who now eats ALL THE TIME:)

And I get to do it all with 2 babies and 6 inches of snow.

I need to get 2 babies fed, dressed, bundled, & myself the like in the next 45 minutes...
I'm grateful for m
y EMU boots on days like today!!

Nap time:)

Both babies are on the same nap schedule now!

Gabe was so small at his last Dr.'s apt so we put him on formula...now who needs mom when you've got a nice, big, full bottle.
So I guess I'm done feeding him...I had mixed feelings but Gabe really loves his bottles and is getting bigger already.

Kk is headed to a friends house after school today. I am going to grab my book and enjoy a nice long bath with nothing in the schedule for a good 2 hours:)

Sorry so short but did you hear the a fore mentioned events...babies-napping, Kk-friend's, me-book & bath:)

My little old soul...

Kailye from time to time says things that shock me. Not because they are strange but because they are far beyond her years.
I want to try to keep track of them so I decided to start sharing them...

A few days ago Kailye and I were talking about her piano lessons.
I told her if she wants to get better she has to practice.
She than replied by saying "Every champion started out a rookie mom."

I was speechless...I asked her a few moments later where she had heard that, she said I just thought of it.

My little crazy ball of energy is so much wiser than I realize.
She's going to grow up faster than I know and I want to cherish and enjoy every second of this person she is now.

3 posts in one Day!!

My little man is 4 months old. The stats go something like this...

Height 26 inches=95%
Weight 12.1 lbs=5%
Head ?..I don't remember=50%

So m
y little man is very tall and very skinny.
Doc wants to fatten m
y little guy up...here comes the formula.
I have mixed feelings about it but it's what's best for him:)

Our little guy is strong and healthy.
He gets up on all four.
Rolls over.
Oohs & Aahs.
And is almost alwa
ys showing off those double dimples:)

I found this...

...in my makeup bag this morning.
I love it!

M
y HUSBAND has become the man I didn't know I wanted to marry.
I have become a person I didn't know I wanted to be.
And WE have done it together.

It was a bitter sweet journey I would not change for anything.
An on going process that will never end.
I love my husband and can only hope to have half of the amazing qualities he possesses.

Thanksgiving With My sister.

We drove-We ate-We enjoyed!

It was a short visit to m
y little sister's home but a great one.
Our kids have so much fun together and we rarel
y get to see each other.
We love
you and miss you already:)

The Cage & Michael-Michael

you would swear these 2 were twins--born 6 months apart and from two separate mothers:)

The
y sound alike, look alike, and play alike...and are just so Cute!Non-stop

The same either way you swing it

Ready for the food...never did get her hair done that day.
The feast...mmm, can't you just smell it?
We did venture to this small town's one and only bowling alley, however the pictures from said adventure are on my sister's camera:(
