A whole new world.

Well we have been home for two days now. Everything has gone pretty well so far.

Kailye is loving having a little sister and wants to hold her any chance she can. I think me having to work for most all of Kailye's toddler years had made this transition fairly easy so far. She has never really been a clingy needed child so she has been just fine with all the attention Keija has needed. I'm glad she is handling everything so well. Besides that she is very happy to help with everything.

Keija so far has been a very good eater and sleeps 4-6 hours at a time. She has been great. She is a little jaundice so we took her for a walk to the park yesterday. She's not a fussy baby and is just content. If I only I could sleep this would be great. I have been having trouble sleeping at night. It feels like my heart is throbbing when I try to go to sleep which makes it hard to breath and gives me a head ache. The doctor says it probably just my body adjusting..I hope so. I think it might also be the added weight to my chest..I know TMI. Michael goes back to work tomorrow so I'm hoping I can sleep tonight.

Michael has been so great with Kailye and Keija. He has been very helpful when I need to sleep to take care of Kailye. I think he will be sad to go back to work tomorrow but someone has to pay for these kids.

update

It's been a while since I posted so I figured it was about time. I wrote about all the pregnancy stuff at my other blog. But other than that we have just been hanging out. Kailye and I have been going to the pool a lot. She loves it there. Last week Steph and the boys come with us once and I actually remembered to take my camera. Since last week though I have been too uncomfortable to brave the pool with out Michael. Poor Kk is going crazy just staying home. I'll be glad when I can move again in a few days.We took a trip up the canyon with my family last Saturday. We thought it was going to be a short little drive just up the canyon but we went all the way up to the Summit trail head for Timpanogos. Oh well it was nice to hang out with family. I can't remember the last time we went and did something with my family. I tried some Kung-Fu Panda moves to get the baby out..obviously didn't work. I even ran up hill..yeah I'm sure that was funny to watch. And I ran some stairs..all that did is make me sore for 2 days. Oh Well, I tried! After the canyon Michael and I went and saw The Happening...DON'T waste your time. It was the worst movie. SO STUPID. We are both M. Night Shyamalan fans but this was not one of his best movies. We also went and saw The Hulk last night. I didn't expect anything out of that one but I actually really liked it. We figured it would be our last "date night" for a little while so we took advantage of that and went to dinner also. It was nice to be with just Michael. With him working so much we don't see him nearly as much as we used to, and he is tired by the time he gets home. He has missed not seeing Kailye as much also. He was the one who was home with Kailye while she was a baby and toddler and I'm glad he got the opportunity to do so. I know he is glad now for the chance he got to spend so much time with her. It will be so different with Keija.

We have not done too much this past week because I have been just a little uncomfortable. But by Friday we will be done and things can re-adjust all over again.

pool again.

Kailye came into our room this morning at 6 am...woohoo...so she should be pretty tired for her regular bed time tonight. She crawled into bed with us but with my HUGE stomach she didn't fit to well. So none of us went back to sleep. Kailye and I got out of bed at 7 and made breakfast before Michael went to work...he usually just has cereal.

After breakfast we got ready and went to my doctor's appointment. It took a very long time today but all is well. you can read about it on my other blog...here.

I told Kailye last night we couldn't go to the pool today because it was supposed to be rainy and windy. Well after the doctor it was hot and not a cloud in the sky so we headed to the pool. Anyone is welcome to come with us...we go pretty much everyday it is warm. I forgot the camera again...I really should just leave it in the car.

Well Michael just got home..early, huh?...so I better get going.

Another day.

We have finally caught up completely on our sleep around the Griffee house. We have been struggling the past week or so to get to bed at a decent hour. Then on top of that Michael still has to get up early to go to work. But last night we went to bed on time. Although Michael still didn't get up on time for work...he said he didn't feel very well.

Kailye and I went over to the Scera pool again today. It is nice to live 2 minutes from such a great pool. Kailye loves it. I was going to take the camera today but I forgot. I'll try to remember tomorrow. It is such a beautiful day today that we can't help but spend as much of it outside as possible. Michael is actually out right now grabbing some steaks to grill for dinner. Should be good. This was a very boring post but if you need something to laugh at just scroll down and watch Demon Kailye again!

Saturday Fun

yesterday we had another long fun day...okay it wasn't that long but it was fun. I didn't wake up until late but Michael was here so I didn't feel bad about it. We went and saw Kung Fu Panda with Kk. It was a cute show. I heard a lot more laughs out of the parents in the theater than the kids though. Kailye liked it.

After the movie we decided to go miniature golfing...apparently we had never taken Kailye before. Not sure how we did that. But she did really, really, good. She scored the same as me and even scored a hole in one...with out any help from us. As soon as we showed her how to swing the club she was on a roll. Michael's score was only 4 below ours to give you perspective on her score.
After Golfing we went to cold stone and got ice cream. Kailye thought Michael's hot fudge and chocolate ice cream was so much better than her vanilla. She was funny.
Well off to clean up my DISASTER of a house before I have to go into the hospital and it doesn't get done.

what a day!!!

We had quite a day today. I decided that I don't want to be pregnant anymore and that I wanted to do as much as possible to keep moving today. So after Kailye rolled her lazy bum out of bed at 11:30! We got ready and headed up to mom & dad's. After that we came home and Kailye and I walked to the park down the street. (By the way Will...it's the park by our house...165 South behind Mt. View high school...It's great!) She had a blast playing with a very cute little boy...who she had wrapped around her little finger. It was cute to watch him grab her hand and lead her to another swing...uh, after he pushed his brother to the ground for stealing her swing.Michael came home from work and we decided to go out to dinner. We headed down to Los Hermanos to meet up with Michael's mom. Food was great...as always...I love that place. I started feeling quite a bit of cramping. But I haven't had contractions in years so I don't really remember how they feel. So I ignored them. After dinner we came home and I wasn't ready to give up yet on getting things going so went on a walk...yeah at 11PM!!!! It was still nice to get out walking around. We walked to the end of the street and the sprinklers were on at the rec center. So Kailye decided she wanted to run through them...yeah no one call CPS on us from our parenting skills in the past 2 days. Don't judge me:) It's so much easier for us if we keep her up late lately so she sleeps in...plus it's probably safer for her. Anyway, we walked back home and that cramping got much worse...but then it stopped:( Should have walked around the block a few more times.

I have some hilarious video of Kailye screaming at my stomach with a little demon face...she usually is much quieter about it. She thinks it's funny to try to "scare" Keija. I think this time she might have done it.

just chillin'

Lately I haven't been to awake during the day. I know so sad. I fall asleep at about 6 am and then I don't usually wake up until 12 or some days 4pm. I think someone might need to call child protective services on me. Normally Kailye is very good at getting herself up and ready and feeding herself breakfast but today...well I woke up to her jumping off the walls...okay it was the couch but close enough. After looking around for a minute I realized I really should have dragged myself out of bed earlier. I asked her what she had eaten today and this is how that conversation went...

KK: "well I was going to have cereal but I didn't want to poor the milk so I just ate it out of the box."

Me: "That's okay you don't always have to use milk. What else have you been eating?"....this question came after I observed 100 tooth picks all over the floor and quite a few stuck through some hot tamale candies.

KK: "I wanted a drink but not a juice box like always so I got one of daddy's out of the garage fridge." (glad we don't drink alcohol)

Me: "Which kind of 'daddy's drinks'?"...there is sprite and root beer in the fridge so I figured one of those.

KK: "Mountain Dew mom...they are really good!!!!! Why don't you ever let me drink those?"...

Me: "Because they have way too much Caffiene in them for you."

This whole conversation happened with in seconds...WAy TOO MUCH CAFFEINE!!!!!!!!! So after I realized how "great" a mother I am today we decided we needed a break. So we went to the park. yeah it was quite a day.

Anniversary

Today was our 4th anniversary...what the?...crazy I know. Michael and I started dating almost 6 years ago and time really does fly.

Update

So things have been great around here. No baby yet but I don't have to work anymore. I was put on leave Tuesday of last week because my carpel tunnel was getting so bad I couldn't really do anything. Also because we couldn't get my blood pressure and swelling under control. Well since then I have had virtually no problems. My hands are still useless until the end of the day but the swelling and blood pressure problems are gone....woohoo. There is more about all this on my other blog as well as a beautiful belly picture...really it's pretty.

Michael is doing really well. He decide to keep working up at the apartments for the new owners for a while. After that he is going to work for his dad doing straight real estate. He's worked out an arrangement with him to make sure he is learning as much as he can. I am so proud of him and his abilities to support our family. He is also very happy that I am home so he can focus on his career.

Kailye and I have spent the past few days playing at the pool. I of course forgot to take my camera. Steph and the boys came with us today. It was fun to sit and let our kids play. Kailye is just big enough now that she can conquer the entire kids pool on her own. She is such a good kid. She usually just finds a friend and heads off. I watch from the sides too make sure she's okay but that is one very independent kid. She also got a new hair cut laset week, do to some very nasty gum in the hair...6 inches later it very cute and totally fits her spunky little personality. Michael was sad to see so much hair go but Kk decided she's going to keep it that way...we'll see if she feel the same when it grows out a bit. I'll take a picture tomorrow and try to get it posted.

I have been loving staying home much more than I thought I would. It will be nice to have this long break for the summer. I technically have to go back to work for a little while after we have Keija but it doesn't seem so bad knowing that it won't be for long.

I have lots of pictures to post today...technically they are pretty old but I haven't had any Internet at my house for a long time:)
This is a picture of Kailye and her "best friend" Brooklyn. from her party I apparently have only taken pictures of the 2 of them lately...oops.
THe liitle boys at Kk's bday party out numbered the girls...she had so much fun though!KK and Brooklyn again...at there end of the school year recital! The were Seuss characters.
Leeana gave Kk a baby doll for her birthday...it has been everywhere with us since she got it. It's cute that she has to dress it and put it's jammies on etc. everyday. She was pretty excited when I let her use her premmie clothes from when she was a baby to dress her in.
