We set up Kk's blog today. I talked to her on the phone and asked her what she wanted. We'll see how much she changes it later. We do have to go up to Grandma's to post picture's though so it may be a once or twice a week blog. her it is though...kkslittlespot.blogspot.com

I went up to mom and dad's (Art's, Steph's, Park's, Bright's, Bobbie's, Jeremy's, and JD's)last night to grab fabric for Kk and her cousin Jayci's Easter dresses. I meant to post pictures, I even remembered to take mine and Kk's camera, but I totally spaced it. Michael is going to California this weekend for Rugby so maybe I can get up there Saturday to catch up. What's going on up there? Kailye also decided she wants her own blog. I told her she doesn't know how to type yet and she decided I can just type what she says. She really just wants to post all her pictures she takes from her camera...get ready to see feet, everyones feet. We'll see how that goes.

Not much here

It's been a while since I've posted but really I don't have much to say. I spent nearly the whole weekend on the couch or in bed. I have not been doing so great lately. I am much more tired than usual and still can't get to sleep until 2-3 am. I woke up Monday sick and spent all of Monday and Tuesday in bed. I made it to work this morning, I felt pretty miserable though so i checked my blood sugar...218...yeah that's WAY too high. I called the doctor and then ran to the bathroom...3 times. After that I checked it again and it was down to 81. I let the nurse know and she said to come in if it goes crazy again. So far so good...well okay anyway.

Michael has been trying to get more work done up at his dad's apartments so we don't end up back at my parents house. We worked it out with mom...with lots of help from Steph and Bobbie I'm sure....to take kk to school in the mornings. And Michael's mom is taking her the other two days to her friends house. Hopefully that will make it easier for Michael to get up to work earlier and get more done.

Kailye is still Kailye. She is soooo ready for summer. She keeps telling me everyday for about a month now that she wishes it would just be sunny already. ME TOO!!! It was nice enough yesterday that she got to run around the front yard and climb the tree. I took pictures but I am going to have to do a post later...still no Internet. this morning she decided she was going to put her tutu on Marley. It was pretty funny. Marley didn't even care she just played around with kk and Michael and didn't even touch it. She's such a funny dog. All she wants is for people to pet her. Well back to work for a few more hours until I can go home:)

ST. Geaorge?

Michael woke me up this morning asking me if I wanted to go to St. George for the weekend...well let me think?...no snow and maybe a little bit of sun? YES. I guess he has a rugby game there this weekend. I'm not sure if I'll actually be able to go. I called mom to see if we can use the condo but we'll see. We can't afford to pay for a hotel+gas+food. I will be excited if I can go. It is supposed to be raining, but it's better than the snow up here.

Easter?...what about spring?

I know Easter is just around the corner but I would really like it if it weren't still snowing then. And if it could be nice and warm and sunny:) That would be lovely! Yeah, we'll see..stupid Utah. Kailye decided yesterday that she wants to make an Easter dress this year, woohoo-so much cheaper, and that she wants to make one for Jayci to wear too, that matches. It will be interesting to see what she decides to make. I let her pick her own fabric and patterns. She has done pretty well so far, we have a red and green strawberry dress and a pink and daisy print. I think I might be "guiding" this one though. We are going to go today and get the stuff to make them. I'll let you know how it goes. Well back to work. bye.

Weekend and more

We had a good weekend. We went to Bright's birthday dinner on Friday night. He was so cute. i can't believe he is really two. Saturday was a chill day. Michael and I went and saw Definitely, Maybe. I loved it. I thought it was very cute. I went and saw it again on Monday with the girls in my family. Saturday kailye and I also made her a blanket and a dress. She is very excited that we have a sewing machine to make her summer clothes. We made her two of the same dress pattern, but one is for Strawberry Days. It is very cute and she was very excited that I let her pick out her own fabric. She has worn the strawberry dress for 3 days now. I think it's cute.

Monday Katy brought Michael over so we could watch him for a while. KK loved it. she was so excited to hold him and bounce him to Hannah Montana. After a minute though she decided he was too heavy and laid him down. the rest of the day she called him "the fatty fatty". It has stuck. She thinks it's so funny. She has also named Bobbie's baby, JD, alien baby. So we have fatty fatty, and alien baby. They are both so sweet. I can't believe they are only 3 weeks apart. one is 7 lbs. the other is 15lbs. Can you guess who is who? We went to both of there blessings on Sunday. It was fun to sit and play with all the babies. Michael is just a bit baby hungry...he doesn't think he can wait another 4 months. Too bad. He came in to me last night after putting Kailye to bed and said,"she's not a toddler anymore, she's like a real little kid." He was sad about it. She really is not a tiny kid anymore. She is so much more like a big kid everyday. I love seeing her grow up but I wish they would just stay small forever.

Yesterday Kailye and I got so many errands run. We made it through 3 stores before I ran out of steam. And blood sugar. My house is a disaster though so I'm hoping I can get around to that this week. Well back to work now.

What the?

I have had a ton of energy lately. I usually get home from work, play with kk, make dinner, put kk to bed and veg. Well yesterday I went to work got home at 5, then to the grocery store, made dinner, did two sinks full of dishes, dries dishes and put them away, made sugar cookies, then did those dishes...remember no dishwasher, folded 3 baskets full of laundry...looked more like 6 baskets worth, cleaned KK's room, put away clothes, did laundry, fed the dog, cleaned the kitchen, cleaned the family room, found the mystery disappearing remote, made hair bows, picked paint colors for the bathroom and the girl's room, helped kk with her valentine box and with valentines, read books with kk, put her to bed after finding her heart shirt for school today, took a shower, and all before Michael got home at 10:45. I know to some of you that sounds like a pretty normal evening but for me that is incredible.

Michael does the laundry, dishes, and half the time puts kk to bed. Every time I would go to sit down last night I thought of something else I could do and had to get up. I remember being like this when I was preggo with kk but I just made blankets and decorated her room. I can't wait to get the sewing machine from mom's house today so I can started on Kk's summer clothes. Michael thinks I'm losing my mind. I just know to take advantage of this feeling while I have it because if my track record continues in about a month I will feel like doing absolutely none of these things.

Spring?

Today I walked outside to go to the doctor and it was so nice! Birds were chirping, sun was out, warm weather..what the?...I hate spring teasers. Saturday Kk and I made 8 hair bows for her. She was very excited. She has two on today with her cute little pigtails. She also made a very cute church bag. I would show you all pictures but the internet is off at our house. We'll see if we actually pay to turn it back on. I think for now we will go with out. Michael has it at work also so we really don't need it right away.

Friday night we went and saw Fool's Gold, with the griffee family. It's official that Keija hates movies. EVERY time I go she makes me so uncomfortable the whole time. Kailye was pretty funny though. I took her out to the bathroom about 15 minutes into the movie and on the way there she said, "mom I think this movie is a bit inappropriate for me." What 4 year says that. She was right, a few times uncle Adam and Michael covered her face, thank you for the warning mom. The things that come out of her mouth sometimes kill me.

She had a fun weekend hanging out with her daddy. Kk was home for 4 years during the day with Michael and now that he is working a lot she doesn't see him as much. Every once in a while you can tell she needs daddy time. Thursday night Kailye and Michael went to Toys R Us to return a gift her Grandpa gave her for X-mas that didn't work. Instead of getting the same thing Michael let her just chose what she wanted. He said she was so much fun to watch. She chose a Hannah Montana guitar and a microphone and a camera. Kailye is funny with guitars, she has loved to play Grandpa Maxwell's since the day she figured out how to open the case...18 months. But recently with Bright and Parks getting into it she really has taken a pretty big interest. I love that she loves music. She has been having a blast all weekend playing with her new digital camera...not the crappy kids ones but a descent camera...and going on walks with dad to the park. It was a pretty relaxing weekend really. I really can't wait for warm weather so we can have more outside weekends.

Not a lot...really.

This week has been pretty uneventful. I was sick on Tuesday so I did nothing. Poor Kailye, about noon she came over to me and said, "dad said to tell you that we can just do girly stuff all day". Dad forgot to mention to Kk that I was so sick. I don't have anything contagious, I just can't seem to get my body back on track yet from last weeks hypoglycemia nightmare. So yesterday I was home again. I need to try to get to bed at a descent time so I can eat regularly. Right now I can't fall asleep until around 2 or 3 and then I don't wake up until 10 which means I am going usually 13-14 hrs. with no food. That doesn't work so well with my hypoglycemia, so I just keep making myself sick. Fun eh? Yeah I'm going to try and get back on track this weekend.

It's a good thing Michael has been working these past few months or we would be in trouble. With car accidents and pregnancies, and hypoglycemia I haven't really been getting all that much done. Oh well...in 4 months it will be all on him anyway so I guess it's been good to feel that transition now instead of right after we have Keija. Michael would rather I be home right now with Kailye but since there is no way to get insurance on me I will tough it out. Not like I work that much right now anyway. Hense the blogging from work:) Speaking of, I better get back to it. Bye.

Nothing exciting.

Monday we went up to mom and dad's again. After Kk and I got the oil changed in the Pathfinder...she was making some lovely faces. We also found a grey hair. yes, you read right.

My four year old has a grey hair. I had to show Steph to see if I was just seeing things. SHe confirmed. When I went to show Michael later that night I found another one.

It was fun to sit and watch all the kids run around. Brighton was chasing Parks and Kk like this all over the house...it was so funny.Kk also had a great time holding baby JD. She loves to hold him like a big kid and she's actually pretty good at watching his head and holding on to him. Yesterday Kk and I stayed home. I usually send her to one of my friends houses that has a little girl her age but I couldn't get a hold of her. We had a "Movie Day". We just sat around in our PJ's and watched movies all day. Kk also learned a bit about not lying yesterday too...she getting there.

Weekend review.

We had a pretty chill weekend. Friday we..uh..I can't remember what we did Friday. Must have been pretty thrilling. Saturday Mom and I went in the morning to look at sewing machines. I have a lot I need to get done on the girls room and she said she could do that for me for my birthday. Woohoo. While we were at the sewing shop we saw some beautiful quilts on the walls. So I decided that I wanted to change what I was going to do in the girls room.

Saturday afternoon we went to Kristin's for a cookie party. It was a lot of fun. Kailye loved trying all the different kinds of cookies. We even triple tied for fourth in taste...with Bobbie's chocolate chip cookie recipe :) After the cookie party we headed out with the Maxwell group, Mom, Steph, Parks, Bright, Bobbie, JD, Kk and I to go get fabrics and a quilt pattern for the girl's room and to look at some for Steph's boys room....Oh man, I always forget how many of us there are until we all go somewhere together, on a Saturday afternoon, before the super bowl. We are a little out of our minds. By the time we had gone to our thirds store we were all ready to be done.

I don't remember what we did Saturday night...stupid pregnancy brain. Sunday we headed up to mom and dad's to watch the super bowl. What a game...okay let me try that again...what a fourth quarter. It was fun to hang out with Art and Steph and watch the game. We have spent the past 4 years at Michael's dad's house for the game so it was nice to do something different this time. On the way home we were headed out down the road from mom and dad's and we saw abunch of cars slid off the side of the road all the way down the hill. We chose a different route but even that was so slick and there were accidents everywhere.

Today I went to work for a bit in the morning and then went and got Kailye from school. She loves when I come to get her. We went and got the oil changed and have been up at mom and dad's since then. I forgot how much I enjoyed living here with Steph and the boys. It is so nice to have someone for Kailye to play with and for me to have an adult to talk to and vent to...thus the 3 AM talks the other morning. Kailye really wants to "help" uncle Art finishing building the igloo so I think we will be here for family night tonight...if they are not too sick of us by then.
