all the pictures

I know it has been a while since I have blogged so this will probably be a long one. I haven't been feeling all that great and I have been pretty worn out. But here goes. Here are the pictures from the family night we had with my friend from high school.
Kayce's boyfriend thinks it's really funny to tickle her until she stops breathing.

Here are Kailye and Ainsley. They are cute little best friends...reminds me of myself and Sarah when we were younger. It's weirds me out a bit.

Sarah Sitting with Marley. She broke a blood vessel in her arm while we were playing volleyball.

Katy, Chad and Braxton came up on Friday. We all went to visit Great Grandma Gordon on Saturday. It was fun.

Here is Preggo Katy. She is ? Uh ? I think around 17 weeks?

Michael, Chad and Chad's brother all played in the pool with a ball they found. They were pretty entertained for a while.

We had a camp out in the back yard on Sunday night. We invited Michael's mom Leeana over and we all sat up and played cards. It was fun but I didn't get any sleep until 5 in the morning and then by 7:30 it was so hot I couldn't stand it anymore. Probably not the best thing to do when you are not feeling well.

Kailye had lots of fun. Taking picture all by herself. There are about 100 of them.

In the background of this shot she took you will see that we used an extension cord for our fan and lamp. Which are sitting on a bedside table. We were only in the back yard. Well I'm going to go. Love you all.

I'm slow

Monday we went and had family night with some friends of mine from high school. It was fun and I have lots of pictures but I'll have to post them later. Last night Bobbie brought Max and Daisey over and they met Marley. Max doesn't like her that much but Daisey was so good with her. I will have to post all the pictures and tell more later. I have to get back to work...Peace.

Marley & Toa's dog

We went and got Marley on Thursday night and so far I'm in love. She is so good so far. She goes to the bathroom outside every time we take her out and she even whines at you when she needs to go. She's only 6 weeks old so I was expecting to have to do a lot more training than we have so far. I'm sure once she gets out of her puppy stage and wants to play more we will. When we brought her home we picked up a little boy puppy too for Michael's friend Toa. He was so cute, I would have loved to keep both of them. Anyway, Toa didn't come get him the first night so we had him here that night and the next day. It was so cute to see the puppies play together and they loved jumping all over KK. I'll post more later but it's Saturday and this is the day I clean and Michael is outside working by himself....peace.

Run-it-off

So I'm trying a new blog. It is only to track my progress with running and exercising. Or as Holly puts it.."keep me honest". We'll see how it goes. It's will probably be pretty boring but I gotta keep this up.

Check it out run-it-off.blogspot.com

P.S. Kay I did stretch..apparently not enough.

Run, Run, go away, come again another day.

So I didn't run yesterday but I did walk everywhere with Kk. And I guess if you count running from Target to the back of the parking lot carrying a 4 year old I ran a little bit. I will get back at it today. I'm going to have to do some major stretching though. I can barely walk today. I'll be fine for a minute but then I have to sit back at my desk and it all cramps up again. Oh well I am doing the water. Well I better get on the phone and make some money...Bye.

Adventures with Trish and the Mountain.

Okay so yesterday I came home from work and thought instead of just sitting around until I needed to make dinner I figured I would just go on a run. Now let me tell you doing this at 3:30 in the afternoon when it is 104, yes that's right 104, degrees outside and there is smoke covering the whole state of Utah...well I'm not sure it was one of my more brilliant ideas. I also do not think it helps that I am just a "bit" over weight right now. Thus the reason for the run. Well I started out and in our neighborhood you are either going up hill or down. I chose to go up first, figured I'd get the hard part out of the way. Well I ran up the hill at the top of our street and when I got to the top I'm sure my heart rate was far to high, but if I stopped I would have probably had to take a break and if I did that I'm not sure I would have kept going up. That and half way up there is a fence I had to jump. Well I got to the top and took off up the next hill. Once I got to the top of that hill I knew it was all down hill from there so I took a breather and a drink. And then headed down. Now at this point I am 10 minutes into my mountain climbing run when I feel, suddenly, like I'm going to puke. I may have been fairly ambitious about my run...but I used to run it all the time in high school so I didn't think it would kick my butt so bad....Wow was I wrong. I didn't throw up but I still had a 10 minute run back down the mountain and then back up the street I live on. I walked inside and collapsed onto the couch. Man I was glad that was over. When Michael came home he still needed to go to the gym, so I thought to myself 'how else can I try to kill myself today?' yes people that's right I went to the gym. What am I crazy?...I guess so. I did the elliptical for 25minutes, which after my run felt like nothing, then did abs for 20 minutes. Then what did I do yes that's right I ran. For another 10 minutes. Needless to say my adventures at the gym and on the mountain have made it so I can barely move today. To even lift my leg to walk hurts. Only 20 more days to make it a habit. Woohoo. Well back to work.

Marley..blogg machine

Wow...look at me go. I'm just a blogging machine the last two days. I just wanted to post a picture of our new puppy. We can't bring her home until Thursday, but she's so stinkin' cute.We couldn't decide on a name for the past two weeks but we finally landed on Marley. I think it's fitting. We were going to call her Bentley but neither Michael or I wanted people to call her Beh-ley instead of BenT-ley. Maybe some day when we don't live in Utah.....Haha...like we are ever moving from Utah.

Sunday.

I'm so rude. I completely forgot to mention the BBQ at Adam and Kik's on Sunday. It was good. Michael's mom and sister and brother-in-law came over. We had steak and Kik's yummy pasta salad. We were supposed to bring up something for dessert but Michael is a bit retarded. He called Adam to ask him if we needed to bring anything, Adam said bring dessert. Well as soon as Michael got off the phone I asked him, "Are we supposed to bring something?" he said no. Yea....if you want us to ever be anywhere, bring anything or just show up, tell me NOT Michael. He can never remember...even if he was just told.

After dinner we played 5 Crowns...so fun. Kari and I sometimes are weary of playing games with the boys because they are the most competitive people we know. It's sometimes just not fun... We had an experience on New Years Eve one year...but they behaved.

Well I better get back to work...bye.

We did not have a very eventful weekend. Friday we went and got some burgers at Chadder's, an IN-and-Out copy. Usually it is very good but this time, not so much. The fries needed salt, I don't think there was any on them, and the buns for the burgers were stale.(not sure how to spell that) They also had a whole salad worth of lettuce on them. I was a little disappointed.

Satur
day I went with mom and Bobbie and got a pedicure. Then went home and sat around, I was really pretty lazy. Kk and I did our finger nails, that was fun. Michael had a meeting with our next door neighbor about real estate development. He said it went well so hopefully they can get something going and start making some money. Saturday night we were supposed to go to dinner with Michael's family but Michael didn't let me know what time we were going until 6:45pm and I was supposed to be to Salt Lake at 7pm. Now I'm speedy at getting ready but not that speedy. So Michael went to dinner and Mom, Dad and Kailye and I went to Taco Amigo. YMMMM! Just as well though because I found out from my sister-in-law, thank you KIK, that Michael's dad was drunk and I don't take Kailye around him when he's been drinking. I also don't like being around him when he's drunk. It's too bad because he hasn't seen Kailye for a while and it's his own fault. Oh well, its not my place to judge but I'm also not going to expose my 4 year old to that type of behavior.

Saturday night Michael and I watched the movie Miss Potter. I loved it! I think it is one of my new favorite movies. It might be because I love Beatrix potter books but it was still great.

Sunday we went to church. We were called to primary a few weeks ago and so far we have had no big "troubles". We do have one little boy who has a story for everything. He is so cute but this week he had a few too many stories. Michael would just keep going and talk over the top of him but he'd keep going until he realized we weren't listening then he would roll his eyes at us. He was so funny.

We have 5 and 6 year old's and our ward, to Michael, is fairly unique. Michael grew up in a ward with a lot of his and her families, single moms, and a lot of poverty. It was also very mixed as far as race, lots of Polynesian friends. He said in his ward when they were little the teacher would tell the scripture stories and most of the kids had never heard them or everyone was so quiet. I our ward there are several people who have quite a bit of money or come from money. Michael used to assume that meant snobbery and people focused on toys and wealth and not as much on their families and scripture. I don't think it was as much an assumption as his own first hand experiences. But in our ward ALL the kids know the stories and they all tell you about there experiences with there families when they learned about the stories. Their is definitely not a lack of family home evening in our ward. It amazes me how much these kids know. Not only about scripture stories but even in the way they talk about their siblings and how loving they are. It shocked Michael to see how well behaved they are and how respectful they are. I guess that just wasn't something he grew up with. It says something about the quality of people we are able to live around. It's so nice. I will be so sad when it's time to move. I'm so grateful for great primary teachers for kk and I miss our gospel docterine class now that we are in primary.

This picture is for "Grandma Great"...Kailye loves her Guatemala dress and braclets!!!

Speaking of moving...we are thinking of moving around September but it all depends on what Michael is making. We might just rent but we are hoping to buy or build. We'll see...I had a fe of you ask.

Peace..love you all.

4th of July!

I know it's been a while since I last blogged. I have tried very hard to have a very relaxing week so I haven't been to work much and we have been busy playing. We went to dinner Monday night for Natalie's birthday, Michael's sister. It was so good. We went to Tepenyaki's. I love watching them cook all my food in front of me and KK thinks it cool when they light the table on fire.

Tuesday we went to see our new puppy, which we can't bring home for a two more weeks but she's still so cute. She's a lab/boxer mix. I know some of you are thinking "you're mom is letting you have a dog at her house?" well yes but only because we should only be here until September. Anyone have suggestions on a name for her because we can't think of anything. KK wants to name her, "she just likes me for my body", which is her new favorite phrase she learned from her friend Ainsley.
After we went to see the dog we went to Michael's mom house and hung out there for a while. I feel like we did something else too but I don't remember what it was.

Wednesday was the fourth of July and we had so much fun. We got up and cleaned in the morning, not so fun. Then we went to see Transformers with Adam & Kik, and Leeana. I thought it was so good. It was much better then I expected it to be. On the way home KK told us she wants to be in the movies. (not if I can help it.) After the movie we came back to mom and dad's for a BBQ. We had steak, pasta salad, watermelon, corn on the cob, home made root beer, and fruit pizza. It was yummy and we were all stuffed by the time we left to go watch fireworks. We went down to Provo to a bridge that overlooks the Stadium of Fire. It was great seats. Michael's cousin Sarah and her husband Angelo and all their kids met up with us there. Also my friend Sarah and her family. We all had a great time with all the kids watching fireworks.

Thursday I went to work and then Michael, Adam, Kik, and I all went to the temple. We did a session and then went to do some sealings for Michael's step-mom's cousin. It was so cool because we didn't realize until we started that we were getting the work done for Michael's step Grandma and Grandpa. I have never had the opportunity to do work for someone I knew personally so it was very special. After the temple we went to eat at Fuddrukker's, I love that place. Then we went and saw the new Die Hard movie. It was great, I have never seen the first ones but this one was very high packed action. I love movies that aren't slow.

I had to put up this picture of Kari and Michael's cousin Sarah. Kari is 21 weeks and Sarah is 12. Crazy huh?...I keep telling Sarah I think she's going to have twins. Good luck Sar.

Well it's Friday and KK and I have been fairly lazy. We didn't get dressed until noon. Then we went over to Petsmart, Ross, and Target to get things for our new dog. I now need to go back to Petsmart and Ross to return dog bowls I got at both places that were cheaper at Target. In fact everything was cheaper at Target. I love that store. We are home now and Kailye is watching Flushed Away. So for it's not too bad, but I'm not paying that much attention. Well I better get started on dinner before everyone comes home....peace, love you all.
