Lainey's Newborn Pictures

We have an awesome friend, Abbey Kyhl, who does Amazing photography work! She did our bridal pictures, wedding day pictures, maternity pictures and now Laineys newborn pictures! We had these taken when she was 9 days old and yes I am just getting around to putting them on here... She was such a good baby for them and she is still a good baby to this day! She is 6 weeks old now and is smiling a lot and learning how to use that cute little voice of hers. She is quite spoiled and wants to be held a lot but that is ok with me! Right now, I am sitting here watching her and her daddy snuggled up together on the couch asleep and I can't help but think I am the luckiest girl alive! She is growing so fast and I am trying my best to take in every moment possible with her but the days slip by way to quickly. Lainey Louise Griffin

Lainey Louise Griffin was born on June 15th, at 9:38 a.m. She weighed 7 lb. 4 oz. and was 19.5 inches long. She had a rough go at first once she made it here. She required oxygen for a day, had an internal infection and required an IV and antibiotics and also had some fluid in her lung. She was so strong the whole time that you would have never guessed that she was sick! She didn't cry much and was so snuggly that we had a hard time leaving her in the NICU while we went back to our room because we were not allowed to hold her all the time while she was under the bili lights. The nurses were amazing to her and to Jason and I. They took such good care of all of us! Now that we are home, Lainey Lou is growing so fast! At her two week apt. she had gained almost 10 oz. She is such a good baby!!! One thing about her is that she is always grunting! It is so funny. We cant get enough of her and absolutely love her big eyes like her daddy her super long toes like her mommy and her cute personality! We got her newborn pictures done recently and I will post them soon but for now here are just a few pics that I thought were cute! It is such a blessing to have a healthy baby at home and to start our little family!

Maternity Pics

I had my maternity pics done at the beginning of April but have been busy and haven't been able to get around to posting them until now! My friend Abbey Kyhl took them. She had some ideas of different styles and places she wanted to try so she picked out the outfits and we showed up! I have 6 weeks left to go and we are definately counting down. No, I am NOT all the way ready yet and still have lots to do but Jason and I agree that we are starting to get overly excited to see her that we don't care if we have all the shopping done yet. Things have gone really good with my pregnancy so far and we hope the last 6 weeks are the same! Can't wait to post pics of her when she gets here!

BABY SHOWER!!

Hey everyone! I am getting ready to send off my baby shower invitations this weekend but I thought I would post it on here too just in case someone doesn't get theirs! It should be lots of fun since it's an open house and there will be lots of yummy food! I have the greatest friends who are putting it together for me! Hope you guys can all make it!

I am 29 weeks now! Things have gone really good so far. She is a WILD ONE in my stomach the majority of the time and really can not hold still for the life of her. According to Jason, she gets that from me! (Bless her little heart). I have been feeling great except for a sore back at times; especially after a long day of work, but it is all SO worth it. We are slowly but surely starting to get a few things together and it is starting to seem more real for Jason and I. I still have a hard time believing that I am going to be a MOM but nothing makes me more happy than knowing we are starting our little family!

We had a few names picked out that we liked but Jason and I kept going back to the same name so I think her name is going to be Lainey Louise Griffin. I got Lainey from Jason's middle name Delane and Louise is my moms middle name & four or five other family members on her side and it is also Jasons Grandmas name so it worked out great! She will be our little "Lainey Lou"! and we can't wait to meet her!!!

20 Weeks

I am officially half way there! Today I hit my 20 week mark and I can't believe it has come this fast. Everyday I try telling myself that I need to get busy with the shopping, list making, babies room, organizing and the list goes ON! But.... for now I am just enjoying being pregnant and feeling my little girl kick and move( like crazy!). A few friends have asked me to post some pictures of my belly at this point, so here they are!

Everything else in our busy lives are going great. Jason is keeping busy with Mortgages (if you know anyone looking to buy or refinance, have them give him a call!) He hasn't been able to ride the horses at all lately with this weather and I can tell he is starting to become a lot more ansy for Spring! I think we all are though!

I am still working over in Panguitch as a nurse. I really enjoy it but am not working a whole lot right now. The rush of not knowing what is going to walk through those doors and the unknown of how slammed you might be is still something I am getting used to. I really do enjoy it though!

Yesterday was my oldest niece, Kelcey's, wedding. She was an absolutely gorgeous bride. Everything about the reception went so well and I am so happy for them. We had such a fun time hanging out with the family and sharing their big day with them. I love her so much!!

Well, that is all the excitement in our lives for now!!!

We are having a baby GIRL!!!

Well today was the Ultrasound! We were so excited to find out! I was more than 100% convinced that it was a boy, so when the lady showed us it was a girl I was definately in shock. Infact I didn't believe her at first. Jason just laughed and got so excited. We can't wait!! After long hours on the computer of picking out boy bedding, decor, clothes, etc.... I now have to spend more long hours finding girl stuff! So if you have any good websites or ideas, you will have to let us know. We are so excited and can not wait! I will try to post some pics. Reminder that 3D pics are kinda scary looking when they have no baby fat on them yet! I was measuring between 18-19 weeks and our little girl was only 9 oz.!! So cute. We can't wait to meet her!
