All About J, blah, blah, blah

Sometimes I feel bad that I've turned into one of those people that I used to hate that posts a billion pictures of their kids. But you know what? I worked really hard for this privilege, so I'm going to go ahead and do it anyway!

Julia's stats at 9 months
16 lbs. even, 7% percentile
26.5 inches, 16% percentile

People think she's chubby, but it's just those cheeks! She carries all her weight in cheeks!

She stands on EVERYTHING! And she looks amazing in jeggings. Enjoy it now, Julia, because if you inherit your mom's legs this will be the only time you look good in them.

And loves magazines, especially tearing the pages into tiny, itty, bitty, little pieces. Amazing hand coordination...she is going to be a great pianist in a few years! :)

She is chewing on everything...still no teeth...and she loves to swing!

Happiness!

Such a good stay-at-home Dad!

I think Greg liked the slide more than she did, and I had to kick a young kid off of it for this pic. Totally worth it.

This blood blister happened on my watch while Greg was driving with his sis to UT. What can I say...she likes cabinet doors!

We call this her giraffe tongue. She can't keep it in her mouth and she licks everything!

This is a present from her Papa and Grams!

She got to open it early.

It's the Laugh and Learn home! She already had it (got it for free) and she LOVES it!
Yes, paper!
J had never shown any interest in the stairs, but the first time she tried a few days ago, she scaled them in a few minutes.
No, the heart bum wasn't planned. She just happened to be wearing these pants the day she decided to climb the stairs! :)

Working hard

Yes, she is our little Michael Jordan. Working hard, tongue is out.

Sometimes she gets distracted

And her favorite sleeping position as of late. I'm pretty sure if Julia could be any other animal, she would be an ostrich.

And some more vacations

NASHVILLE, TN

While Greg and Julia were at home trying to get over the plague we got from his family at Thanksgiving ('tis the season of giving!), I got to make a trip to Nashville to see this precious baby, Tucker Jay! His entrance into the world was quite traumatic, and I went up to help Ben and Jenny once they got home from the hospital. He is doing great now, and so is the rest of the family!
He loved his Aunt LaLa

Happy Dad!

Look at his little smile -- he knows and loves his Mama!

Tucker is definitely from the dark side - we rule!

SPOKANE, WA

We had some skymiles saved up, and so we used them to go and see Greg's sister, Kathy, her husband Rob, and her kids Grant, Abby and Anna. Anna is just 2 months older than Julia, and they had never met (and we hadn't met either). This was a tragedy that had to be fixed!

Anna, who is so much better at eating solids than Julia who stills barfs on puffs. Seriously, puffs!!??

Kathy and Rob and Grant's birthday ninja cake

This is what I did for a lot of our visit - finished and submitted grades for the semester

6!!!!

3-yr-old Abby

As you can see, Julia had no stranger anxiety with her cousins. She literally climbed on top of Grant to get to his awesome new toy castle.

Abby loved the cake!

Julia loved her uncle Rob

One of the 4 photo shoots I did. Can you see her pj's? "I'm Santa's Best Gift!"
What am I getting for Christmas? More cheeks!!!!!

Elegant Southern Belle

From elegance to a Jou-Lou-ia from Who-Ville

Silly Dad

Julia puts everything in her mouth these days

Attacking Grant!

Cousins!

This is the real reason we went to Spokane...to get this family Christmas pic! Coming soon on a postcard to you! (Unless of course you're not on our Christmas list, in which case you need to email me and I'll put you on!)

Does it look like we were having fun? Cause this was in a totally empty mall where we couldn't find Santa's Village or the huge light display outside. So instead we made kids pose in front of this gigantic tree.

Abby loved her Uncle!

I'm pretty sure the blocks in the background spelled "Joy," but obviously Julia can't read.

Everyone except for Rob, who had to work

Julia meets Santa! Good thing she doesn't care and didn't even notice he was made out of ceramic.

The polar bear is squeezing Abby's cheeks!

Baby Photo Shoot - Kathy got the idea on Pinterest. She also taught me how to use Pinterest and other lots of cool crafty things. My favorite Kathy quote of the week was in response to me saying, "What? Wal-Mart has a craft section?" Kathy said, "Are you even a woman?" Hmmm...debatable when it comes to crafts for sure.

Eat this ornament!

Happy Girl!

Grant, Anna and Abby

The whole gang - it was chaotic, but it was fun!
There was a greenhouse that had an incredible light display over the plants.

There's Rob! So he does exist!

And did you know Spokane is home to the largest Ryder red wagon? Yes, that is a slide!
No, we didn't go down it because it was too cold! In fact, I took this picture from the car because I'm such a wimp!

P.S. Spokane was wonderful, but I would not recommend going in December. What were we thinking? It was FREEZING! But....totally worth it.
