Trial Post

Hello blog world! Kaylani has once again been playing with the look of my blog and so thought I would try writing in wwhite to see if it was easier to read. Anywy, only 5 more sleeps till we're going to Arizona which is very exciting. All we have to do is get over the ear infections and mastitis in the next few days! Bring it on! Well, I just really wanted to try this out and I don't htink that anybody is reading it anyway, so I'm gonna go get my four cute kiddos to bed while Mark is at school!

A "Blog-worthy" moment...

So, first of all, thank you to my new blog master and fabulous sister Kaylani for making my blog a little cuter. In 12 days I will be in Arizona and she can teach me how to do it myself!
I know you're all dying with the anticipation of what this "blog-worthy" moment is. Today, I received my very own issue of Reader's Digest in the mail!!!! I grew up loving to read it every month and sneaking it off my Dad's night stand whenever I could so I had a chance to read it. (Sorry Dad:) ) I LOVE Reader's Digest! It feels like I'm a real grown up to have my own subscription. Anyway, since I really have almost no free time these days and haven't gotten the hang of having 4 kids and an organized home, I will treasure the moments I have in the bathroom to read a quick "Drama In Real Life" or "Laughter The Best Medicine." Gotta love the Digest! (I got a free one year subscription...)

No Pictures

So, one of these days I will actually figure out how to make my blog a little less boring. I have 4 of the cutest kids and a really hot husband and I have to figure out how to post pictures! I think I just need to call Kaylani and have her walk me through the process. Part of the problem, is that my computer is a little to wussy to handle lots of pictures stored on it, and so if I want to add pictures I have to head downstairs to the "bat cave" and use Mark's computer "Joaquin" and post pictures. I will get there eventually though. Till then, you'll all just remain in suspense.....

18 Days...

We are so thrilled and excited to be heading home to Arizona for a visit in only 18 days! We are so happy that KC has found such an amazing girl to marry and look forward to meeting "new Aunt Sherry" when we get there. It's hard to believe that only a few of our family members have even met sweet Sadie, and she's almost 6 months old. We look forward to spending a very busy 8 days getting a great dose of family. We miss all of you and can't wait for the chance to laugh together and play together. What a great family you are!

Happy Birthday to Me!

Hey blogworld! I have to say that having a Sunday birthday is very wonderful. I'm 28 today which is hard for me to believe. Mark turned 31 on Wednesday, and his Birthday was a very very busy day. We managed to squeeze in a 10 minute celebration to blow out candles and open a present from 3:15-3:25. He had class from 9-10, then we managed to go to Walmart (just the 2 of us) for 45 minutes, then off he went to another meeting from 1-2:45. After I picked up the kids from school, we had to meet at a member's house because Mark was called Sunday to be the Elder's Quorum President and they needed a couch moved in their house from a trailer at 3:00. No other Elders are home at that time, so Mark and I moved the couch while 4 kids sat in the car screaming because they wanted to get out and help! After the 10 minute birthday party, I taught ballet from 3:30-6, and then Mark got to go substitute teach a Psych. class for the Master's students from 6-9. It was quite the hectic birthday for him.
Today so far, I have relaxed a lot and was served a delicious breakfast. I look forward to maybe getting out of my pajamas, and then enjoying 2 wonderful sessions of General Conference, followed by a little Birthday party and getting the kids to bed on time! It's great to be 28 on a Sunday.......

I've Lost My Marbles!

So, some of you know that I recently was given the opportunity to live out one of my life long dreams os attending the Chicago Candy Expo. I have been looking forward to it for months and had figured out a way to go, with just Sadie and I. I had arranged all of my babysitting for the three kids staying at home with Mark, including rides to and from school and all the madness. I even had to line up a babysitter for Sadie in Chicago because no kids are allowed in the show. Well, I was all excited to go this last weekend and called my friend Kim in my ward who has made all of this happen on Saturday to find out when on Sunday we were driving to Chicago. She was really quiet and she just said, "you mean next weekend, right?" I never in my life have been so absent minded before! I had the dates wrong and had all of my babysitting lined up for Monday and Tuesday of this week, when the Expo isn't till next week. It was pretty silly to have to call everybody and say, just kidding, are you available next week?! Anyway, I've enjoyed yet another week of anticipation of being in Candy Heaven! Can't wait for Sunday afternoon when I get to go on vacation, just me and my baby Sadie and every candy vendor known to man.....

I Did It!!!

Hello Friends!
Kaylani finally convinced me to try this blogging thing. We'll see how it goes! My life is pretty much filled with chaos trying to adjust to being a mom of 4 on about 4 hours of sleep a night. Let this first entry be a warning that if my future entries don't make sense, it's either that Walker has figured out how to post, or it's the sleep deprivation! Have a good one and know that there's more to come...
