SeaWorld Christmas

My mom, sister, and I took the kiddos to see the christmas festivities at SeaWorld. The boys are always so good when we have them out all day.  I find myself complaining a lot about how my kids seem to be whiney and difficult. Then I go out and see other littles throwing fits and screaming at their parents and realize I really have nothing to complain about. Naps or not, these boys are troopers.

Gav wanted to thank Santa for his bike
(Santa brought me a new lense for my camer aand I obviously hadn't practiced much)

Blake's a little upset he can't see what's going on

Grammy took us to dine with Shamu for dinner.  Gavin was a little too tired, but still enjoyed the show (and the food)

And he's off...

Blakie's perfected the army crawl these past few months.  This morning he decided he's had enough (or maybe his poor arms have).  He looked at me and then took off like he's known how to do it for months.
I'm sure it won't be long before he's up on his feet.  He's a very determined little guy.

Blakie's Half Birthday

When people tell you that time really starts to speed up once you have kids, they aren't lying. I am just amazed how fast the boys are growing up. It really makes me sad to think that they will be grown boys before we even know it. I already miss my little newborn...

 At his half birthday (and 22 pounds - 28 1/4 inches) I can hardly call him my little baby anymore;(

At 6 months Blakie

-is just starting solids (I waited much longer with him than with Gav)
-LAUGHS at everything his big brother does to him (nice or not)
 -is rolling all over the place
- is perfecting the army crawl
- has his two bottom teeth
-loves to eat
-is sooooo smiley
-loves being held
-is sitting up on his own

At 2 yrs 4 months Gav

-is FINALLY starting to really talk (more than just one word conversations)
-still loves to eat...pretty much everything (don't offer him mashed potatoes, mushrooms, or cotton candy though. You'll end up with it all over you... he doesn't do well with those textures)
-still loves Mickey Mouse and Bubble Guppies (we are able to sneak dinosaurs, Rio, and Lion King in every once in awhile...thank goodness!)
-is completely OBSESSED with Emma...everything he does and everywhere he goes, he asks for her
-loves to wear shoes (and doesn't discriminate...he'll put on whatever he can find around the house)
- is potty trained:) If he has a stool, he insists on standing up like Daddy.  He's even going already without my help
-still gets into everything and makes the biggest messes

These boys make our days so much brighter...We love watching them play with eachother and learn new things each day. I only wish I could keep them this small forever!

Chunky Monkey

I can't believe four months have gone by since this sweet boy entered our lives.  He is such an easy baby! Us Greenelshs are spoiled with our amazing sleepers.  He started sleeping through the night at 7 weeks old and I can only count a handful of times that I've been up during the night (thank goodness because I don't function well with interrupted sleep).

At his four month checkup last week:

weight - 18 lbs. 12 oz. (97%)
height -  26 1/4" (90%)
dome - 17" (75%)

One week later:

{He almost looks a little embarrassed by his weight gain...don'tcha think?}

Last month he started rolling from his belly to his back...not even a week later and he was rolling from his back to his belly.  It took Gavin months to figure out how to get from his back to his belly.  I hope this isn't a sign that he'll be learning to do things {like crawl} too early....I'll never get anything done:)

It's been a REALLY big week around here.....

With the help of a few M&M's, we've said goodbye to Gavin's diapers.  He's standing on a step stool all by himself already.  The majority of the time he doesn't even want me to come with him.

AND

 He's starting to swim:-)

He brings us so much joy and laughter, but also so many headaches!
We are so proud of him:-)

and just as I'm typing this little man decides to roll from his belly to his back (probably a fluke but he didn't want his brother taking all the credit)

Can time please slow down????

Friends Forever

Lauren's in town so we met up at Lazy Dog Cafe to catch up.  It is so crazy to think that we {the girls} have been out of high school now for 10 years.  Where has the time gone? Seriously!

After dinner we walked next door for cupcakes;)
{these two were on their own date}

Emma is so good with Gav and his need to love on her...
We joked about having to have the next get together at someone's house because 1) they wouldn't have enough high chairs for the kids and 2) we couldn't fit them all at the table with us :)  It is so much fun getting together with the girls (and their families) again.  I miss the fun we had in high school and am so glad we are all still friends:)

{ P.S. we missed you Sarah, Vanessa, and Jenn}

The past few months

This boy has been doing so much lately....

putting on whatever he finds around the house.
He has gone from hating things on his head, to asking for hats when he wakes up in the morning.
his boardshorts
 and his swim diaper

 (slight obsession with Mickey right now)
 we also like to take things off
 He's become a "Linus". He loves his "bee"
 and his really into sitting on the potty like a big boy.  We bought him pull ups and he usually goes in the potty at least once a day.
can someone please stop time? It is going WAY too fast.

Idyllwild

Nick and I decided to take Gav up to the snow...so glad we did because he had a blast.

you may want to pause the music (at the bottom of this page) to watch these videos.  Not to hear my annoying voice, but so that you can hear Gavin.

Before you watch the next one...I know I already got yelled at by my mom.  Just please don't tell my doctor:)

 Before you watch this one...if you are one who is likely to call CPS on parents who put their children in danger then DO NOT WATCH THIS

 But if you did watch, you'll clearly see HE LOVED IT in this next one ;)

We can't wait until our trip up to Arrowhead in a few weeks!

Where has the time gone?

{two weeks old}

 {6 months}

 {9 months}

 {18 months}

I can't believe how FAST they grow! Nick and I love going into his bedroom and watching him sleep.  We always laugh at the position he gets himself into as he drifts off to dreamland.
