finally some 'me-time'

woke up at 12pm, went for late lunch at 3 at kfc (yes kfc.. hahha) and did some shopping with nat at the shopping centre nearby.. then nat went for massage while i walked the mall for a while.. it's the first time i walked by myself in a mall and the way back to the hotel.. although it was just a 5 mins walk, i feel a little scared.. i had to pass some alleys where there were small groups of banglas loitering at each alley.. some ppl even called out but i just continued walking.. i feel so safe when i finally stepped into the hotel lobby.. what a 5 mins walk...

i feel so cooped up in brunei esp on sundays where there isnt much programme lined up for the day.. i cant go anywhere except in the room or around the hotel area.. i do not get to spend some time by myself cos im rooming with nat.. it seems like im so deprieve of me-time.. finally get some time off from the team now, while nat is out for a massage.. but there isnt much things i could do except blogging, watching shows, tv and reading.. but at least i get to be alone.. there are some times you just need these moments...

played badminton with the clients after half day work yesterday.. although it was a short 1 hour play, i feel great playing sport.. esp after the IRM team went back, and no one to play vball with me.. the ball is rotting in a corner above the safe.. untouched for a month? who will play vball with me in brunei???? i miss qiutong.. hhaha

went for a movie with the team and clients at night.. watched the resident.. sat on the first row but it was quite far from the screen so it's ok.. the show is quite psychotic and pervertic... but i had a real good laugh, thanks to hafis.. his reaction and facial expression at the last scene made me laugh non-stop for 5 mins? the rest couldnt understand y i laughed so hard after the show ended.. they shld have seen hafis's face.. hahha.. went for a drink at a cafe till 1230am, and the client suggested going to watch illegal car racing.. we drove there but the race had not started.. so we went back to the hotel instead.. slept at 3am and woke up at 12pm.. the latest i had woken up since a long time..

shall go watch dvd to kill some time for now =)

back in brunei...

3 days back in sg passed like lightning!!

natalie said i seemed to have done almost everything i could in these 3 days... never felt that time in sg will be so short n precious..
too little time to do so many things...

i think me and natalie behaved like small kids on the flight back to sg on fri night... when sg night lights came into sight while we were on the plane, both of us exclaimed in excitment... the rest of the team turned and laughed... we did tt once again when the plane landed onto changi airport... we just couldnt wait to get out and set onto sg grounds.. never knew that coming home was such a good feeling..

hp, yuli and huisian came to the airport to fetch me.. after which we went to brewerks at clarke quay to meet pok and xueling.. it had been a month since i talked and see them.. really miss those days were we lunched and crapped tog.. hahha.. we walked back to raffles to meet jasmine after her OT.. seems like everyone is into the peak now.. OT, OT and more OT.. hope ber and linching can hang on...

sat was day out with niners at sentosa.. we only played abt 45mins of vball where the rain came.. it was still a nice hangout tho.. went for starbuck and dinner at im seah food centre... most of the nicer food stalls were closed and we had to settle for second best.. according to yy, the dessers are the best... LOL...

sunday was errands running and family day.. went to marks and spencer to buy cookies for my client who wanted to give to his frens back in brunei... i tink i spent abt 30mins at the food section just selecting the cookies.. hahha.. then was home for home-cooked dinner... totally missed mummy's cooking... peilin said she haven had soup for the past week cos mummy did not cook.. guess the kitchen is left untouched cos there's only 3 of them in sg..

these is how time flies for my short weekend trip back to sg.. im so grateful that sg is a developed country with all the food, shopping, entertainment etc.. i can never get to do these in brunei... most importantly, it's where my family n frens are! cant wait for the engagement to end and be home for good...

had a late night last night with the IRM team. it was played truth or dare and had loads of laughter. i guessed we were too loud that the reception called to ask if we were fighting in the room. hahha.. my senior said she could hear us in the room down the corridor. i din know we were that loud :P

so gg to miss this bunch of ppl.. the stay in brunei would definitely be different without them..

could not work after lunch today cos the i was chatting with the recovery peeps. talking about their unhappiness abt the GM and stuff... and also the entertaining as well.. today is such an inefficient day.. :P

going to wake up at 615am in the morning tml to make our way to the branch that is 1 hour drive from our hotel. the compliance manager is going to take us there. it's going to be a tiring and torturous day cos we had to entertain the compliance manager who talks non-stop and talks eveerything abt himself.. good luck to me and natalie..

body aching sunday morning

woke up with my whole body aching..
haven had this feeling maybe since the first few times i visited the gym?
had a good workout playing vball at the national stadium yest..
2 gals vs 3 guys match..
it was fun..
wonder whether i still can play vball after the IRM team go back..
the gals in my audit team doesnt seem to be the sporty kind... dunno abt the guys..
all i know is that after next tues, the team (audit + IRM) will become much smaller..

had a great dinner with the recovery ppl at At-Tamwil.
they're really a bunch of fun and nice ppl..
showed us the night scenery at the empire (we went in the day previuosly).
the stars in the sky were so pretty!! had not looked at the stars for a long time..
it's definitely a good place to relax and htht.. haha.. they have 70% off on national day (23 feb) and the sultan's bday (17july)..so if u guys wana stay at the empire, these 2 dates would be the most worth it.. =)

manager and senior will be arriving today and the partner tml..
wonder how will thing progress..
we'll see...

i am finally blogging again!!
thanks to the brunei trip.. if not i think i will not even do this...
so amazing tt i actually still remembered my password...
so proud...

did my first jog in brunei tonight...
with a super full stomach..
thanks to junwen's sudden urge to jog, and yes, the running shoes i brought came into use.

have to sleep early tonight cos i'll have to wake up a5 530am to prepare to go to brunei immigration for visa extension..
this is even earlier than the time i use to wake up in sg to go to the gym..

first weekend i am looking forward to cos we'll be chilling out with the client tml night!!! they're a bunch of nice and fun ppl =) glad tt the client is nice and it definitely add so much joy to boring brunei.

STILL........ I MISS HOME!!!

the clock is ticking slowly

today is the day to pull out of the client's place!! whoohoo...
cos the GM doesnt want to see us tml so we have to pull out today..

pros and cons of pulling out today.. we have to get whatever documents we have to get from the client cos it's the last day here at the client for interim.. so we have to rushh and finish our work.. one good thing is there is higher possibility that i can get my half day tml since i'll be back in the office and not pulling out of client's place..

the team is not really in the mood to work today cos it feels like it's the last day on this engagement since we'll be pulling out today, and tml is the last day on this engagement for most of us. and xmas is coming!! hahha.. we're just hoping for 6pm to come.. but the clock is ticking by very slowly.. we're all tired of all the credit reviews we haf to do.. we're just doing whatever we can to do.. i kinda pity the new senior who will have to do all the follow up and clear the review points after all of us leave the job tml.

OH 6PM, pls come faster..

i saw alvin and the chipmunks at raffles exchange during lunch today!! they look so cute..




and i finally applied for 2 weeks of leave in early july 2010.. yes 2010.. better apply now or else i'll see more jobs being plotted on my retain and my leave planning block shifted further back.. one week of annual leave remaining.. shall decide when to take a break before peak starts next year.. i guess this is the only industry where u have to plan your leave one year in advance.. it's real time management!
