Counting my blessings :)

Work has not been entirely smooth sailing, mainly due to friction with human. That's the challenge of being in middle management! You have subordinates' attitudes to deal with, pressure from the top to handle, forces from the left, right, top, bottom to deflect all at the same time! Phew, after I've done my work here, I'd love to "retire" to a job that gives me as much independence as possible! Last Thursday at 6.55am while walking the quiet path to the MRT, I told God that I really wanted to throw in the towel, take my well deserved bonus and kiss the place goodbye. He must have heard my desperation loudly that morning and sent His quick divine answer from above at 7.20am! On the way to work, I received a beep on my iPhone and saw an email from my HR manager. She brought good news. Remember I mentioned my company was gonna sponsor my masters pursuit? Well, the Lord gave me something better. I was informed that I've been granted a postgraduate award from the headquarters instead! Most thrilling of all, I was the first recipient to receive this cluster wide award from my organization. My heart leapt. Not at the excitement of this award but at His timely encouragement and love :) thank U Jesus! I'm also pleased to say that I've completed term 1 and started term 2 yesterday! His strength & grace is sufficient. So far the modules are eye-opening and so beneficial and widening my horizon! Thankful for the opportunity! What can I say, despite my rocky journey ahead (Monday starts tomorrow, small sigh) I can stand tall and say, if my Lord is for me, who can be against me! I'll bless my days ahead :)
