ah, i'll be heading to west coast USA on 15 Oct. yay! it's quite an amount to budget and would take a toll on our savings. but well, we are only young once so see-the-world-we-must! hahaha...
anyways, i was in hongkong 2 weeks ago. a fairly relaxing trip i must say. hongkong had too many PRC folks! then we realized our hotel was located in a business district or somewhat similar. so when we arrived on a weekend, most shops were closed! haha, and the nearest MTR station to our hotel was also shut down for renovation works. what an odd struck of coincidence! haha... alright i shall post up some pictures.
our first stop was tai o fishing village. it's one of the less visited attractions on lantau island. journey there was a tideous 45min bumpy bus ride along the cliffs. sights there were alleys of shops and houses on stilts. well you can visit kukup for something similar :) haha
there honestly wasn't much to do there and it was sweltering hot! scenes of sea and mountains...
alright, next we visited pastor phil's church in hong kong and explored mongkok and yau ma tei. once again, the summer heat was quite unbearable and i wished to be nowhere else but in air-conditioned refuge! hahaha...
crowd upon crowd upon crowd
Hmm what else? we took a ferry to Macau! since our hotel was just a 10-min walk to the ferry terminal :)
had some portuguese fare. this thing i had was a macaroni gratin which was... not to my liking.
and we hopped onto the many free shuttle services taking us to casinos. venetian which i suppose is one of the largest in macau.
so pretty! with the sky ceiling and nice lights...
grand casino...
imitation of venice in macau! haha
St. Paul's church ruins, not to be missed when you're in Macau.. look at the crowd!
we took the tram up to the peak too!
This hong kong tea house was our favourite haunt. me and my mad husband visited this place every night! because the food was yummy and price cheap!
look at the huge prawn in the wanton!
and this, is awesome comfort food!
and there's something about hong kong milk tea that is just way too good and addictive! i had 1 glass everyday in hong kong..
A view of our hotel,
and our tiny room... hehehe
guess what me and andrew decided to do at night? pluck up courage to climb the dark stairs and alleys... hahaha, we must thank God we were not robbed!
i really miss this thick french toast with generous peanut butter spread in between! yum yum yum~
okay that's about all for our 5 days in hong kong!
Looking forward to see more of the world! whoo hoo~
