left for the sunny island of bali last saturday evening. my hubby and I were at the airport really early :) just lazing the afternoon away and having a good lunch. soon, our friends arrived and we got on board a wonderful flight with KLM.
arrival at bali airport

all smiles while waiting for our airport transfer to club med resort :)

Finally at the resort!

here's a shot of the bedroom that we spent very little time in, because there were just too many things to do :D

waking up to mornings of sumptuous breakfast buffets, in fact, every meal is a buffet! beautiful dining hall :)

had a most memorable third day in bali as it happened to be valentine's day, and club med went all out to create the love-atmosphere with special cakes and programs. each room even had a heart-folded scarf with the programme of the day.

the staff made this prop for photo-taking

V day dinner spread... cakes, desserts and all things sweet.

here we are outside our room after a bath, all ready to go for more activities!

after rounds of group games, archery, wind-surfing, kayaking, snorkelling. we are bushed!

the club med pool which was a tad too shallow for me ;)

the nights were equally fun! we had nightly entertainment shows put up by the staff.

and adjourned for drinks at the bar with quality live music!
Eating to our hearts' content.

alright, this has gotta be the scariest part of my trip. white-water rafting. we tried this in malaysia before but the river was so calm. This time, it was too much of a thrill. the boat i was in capsized, and i was swept away by the river current. can u see the gushing water in the background? it was really fast and eventually i managed to swim myself to a huge boulder, clung onto it for my dear life and wait for rescue. through the rafting course, there were also heavy showers. i felt so cold and traumatized from that incident. thank God a million times for divine protection. my legs were full of bruises, crocs were swept away by the river too (boo hoo...), but nothing beats being safe!
brave a smile for the waterfall!
This holiday passed way too fast and we had to take our last shot. posing with our club med medals won from the various games organized!

great fun. great company :)
So it'll be, HELLO CLUB MED CHERATING / PHUKET 2012!
