...because it seems as though I'd much rather change the template of my blog than actually write a post! I guess that's true! The background I had before was just too bold and was hurting my eyes! This one seems to be more calming... and I definitely need some calm in my life! It's Spring now and I'm making some changes ( I wait a few months to start my new years resolutions! ) and one of them is how I want to get back to blogging. My "babies" are getting way too big too fast and I've just got to do something to help me remember them!! I'm regretting all this time that I haven't been documenting their lives so hopefully I can change that. So, give me some encouragement and let me know if you still check in with us! =)
I don't really know where to start so I guess I'll just start with today...
It's been cold and rainy for the past 3 days, so it was nice to see some sunshine this morning and finally be able to go outside and get some fresh air. Mike is on a boat
det. and has been gone since last Friday. Of course the boys decided it was the perfect time to get sick! Luke started the sneezing, sniffling and coughing on Saturday and last night Grant came down with it. It's just a cold, so I know it could be worse. I feel by body trying to get it too so I'm trying to fight it off with extra vitamins and lots of water. Hopefully that will help. Today we just had to get out of the house so we went to the park and to
CiCi's pizza. It's spring break here so I knew the park and
CiCi's was going to be crowded, and it was. But, it's such a pretty day that I didn't mind the crowds. I guess I was just happy to be out of the house!
Here's some pictures I took of the boys just a couple days ago.

I'm certain we live in most windy city in the U.S. Probably the whole world. It drives me crazy. This is why anytime we are outside, my boys hair always looks like this! Oh, unless it's raining like the picture below. I guess it wasn't too windy this rainy day! Grant was SO excited to walk outside in the rain with his umbrella. Seriously, we haven't had a good rain in months and months, so it was welcomed. Grant saw it raining and said, "We don't have to water our grass anymore!" It looks like a dessert down here so hopefully things will start turning green!

Here's my little Maverick. I think I've mentioned before how he LOVES anything having to do with planes and
imitating his daddy. I bought him this flight suit last summer and he loves putting it on and pretending he's going to work. He even gets on the computer and checks his flight schedule (he seriously knows how to find it) and tells me how many flights he has for the day. My mom bought him this jacket for Christmas and of course, he loves wearing it. Too bad it was only cold enough to wear it down here a few days this winter! I'm hoping he still fits in it next year!

Sweet
Lukie face. It's a good thing he's cute because he's been quite the stinker lately!

Grant's prayer tonight...
"Dear God, thank you for this day. Please help everyone in the whole family to be safe. Please help Dado's leg to get better (btw, it has been healed for months). Please help Felicx (our little boy that we sponsor from World Vision) find some food. Please help me to stop sucking my thumb. In Jesus name we pray, Amen."
Minus the last line, he has been saying that exact prayer for at least 4 months every night. Sometimes he adds an extra thing or two (mostly about keeping the airplanes, pilots and people taxing on the runway to be safe) but that's usually the meat of it. I just love it. I think I might cry if he leaves any of it out.
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
