Trip to Hawaii

Toni and Andre were taking their vacation in the New York City area and didn't think the girls would particularly like the lonnng flights to and back and all the running around, so they as Gary and I to come to Hawaii and babysit the kids. We did and we had a fun time hanging out with the girls.

Livie has some Sponge Bob jammies and Elena loved them and wore them any way she could.

One evening he caught this picture of Honolulu, across the ocean when the sun was going

down. It was a pretty awesome sight. The buildings looked they they were gold.

Gary had been doing some stuff on the computer and when I went in to ask him something this is how I found him--fast asleep. Couldn't resist taking the picture.

We had the thrill of having Daniel and Cameron come from Georgia to spend a couple of weeks with us. It was fun having them here. They are such cuties. I had to work in the afternoons but Jamie, Alex, Zach, and Ginger helped to keep them occupied. I didn't get many pictures of them doing their activities because I wasn't there, but here are a few I got of them just doing what they do best.

I had told Daniel that we needed to wash his hands. The next thing I knew he was washing his hands. His little ribs are holding him up. Too funny!

We had Jeanne's memorial on Aug 13, 2011. All of her siblings were able to come except Lyn, who was in the hospital with problems from his hip surgery and Phil who is on a mission with Jane, in CA. We were happy to have Monica there to represent his family. Jeanne's remains are buried between her stone and Mom and Dad's stone. It was a nice afternoon to be together and honor Jeanne's life. She was a super person and we all miss her sweet spirit, but we know she has moved on to greater things. (I am posting this earlier than what it really was so it can be next to my memories of Jeanne)
