THE 80'S ROCK...

AND SO DID WE!!! :) So, last week we had a girls night that topped all others! It really was such a blast! It's so fun (or embarassing) to act silly and be young again...and that is exactly what we did. From the crimper, to the Aqua Net, to the pegged pants, to the crazy bangs, to the jelly bracelets and scrunchies...it all took us back to the good old days of our youth and made us act even younger and sillier than we usually do! We started the night off at Amber's house getting all ready and finalizing our wardrobes...that really was a crack up trying to make eachother look as good (or bad) as possible. So funny!

Annie, Lynette and Amber...who knew they still sold Aqua Net? I think we were smelling that the entire night!
During the proccess of getting ready, we realized that we were all sporting a different theme from the 80's...(from left to right) Tiffany was Work Out 80's, Amy was Nerdy 80's, Annie was Hip Prego Mom 80's, Amber was Rocker 80's, I was Preppy 80's, Emily was Teenager Chick 80's, and Lynette was Rebel Girl 80's.
Once we were all ready (this took almost half the night), we then headed to Classic Skating to bring us all back to our teenage years! Here we are getting all pumped up and ready to hit the skates!
The worst part about the night was putting on those stinky, uncomfortable and highly unsanitary skates. But once you got past that...skating was a blast!!!

All of us hot mamas at the end of the night...who knew roller skating was such a work out! After this we headed to TGI Fridays for appetizers and then back to my house for ice cream and "The Wedding Singer". Such a fun night! Thanks Amber for the inspiration....and Happy Birthday!

MY REASON FOR NOT BLOGGING...

I was introduced to digital scrapbooking over a year ago, but it wasn't until the last 6 months or so that I've really gotten into it. And can I just say how much I LOVE IT!!!

Let me tell you...it' been hard to find the perfect balance in my life lately, especially with the addition of our little Everett...from being the mother to my 3 little boys, a good wife to my husband, exercising, cleaning house, studying from the scriptures, spending time with family and friends, cooking, writing in my journal, going on vacations, fulfilling my calling, finding time for myself, and the list goes on and on and on....so, without a second thought, the first thing to go was my blog. And, my digital scrapbooking has taken it's place. But, due to a few out of state friends and family...I think I will try and keep this up a little better. So, here is to finding the perfect balance! Wish me luck...I'm sure there are a lot of you out there that might need it too!

GIRLS NIGHT OUT!

This is a girls night that we had all been waiting for...the opening night of Eclipse! And no, this isn't the only thing worth blogging about in my life...it's just pure coincidence that the last thing I blogged about was New Moon. Don't worry, I'm really not a crazy Twilight fan...however I do enjoy some decent entertainment and all my girl friends! The real reason why I am actually finally getting around to posting something is because my dear friend Jamie recently moved to Arizona and so I thought I had better start this up again so we can stay better in touch while she's gone! So, this is for you Jamie! :) And yes, you were EXTREMELY missed this night!!!

Christy, me and my sister-in-law Aubrey

Melissa, me, Haylee, Liz, Andrea, Annie, Amber and Lynette

Jamie, Cindi, Julie and Heather
We started the night off with a yummy dinner at Chicago Pizzaria at The District and then spent the rest of our time shopping and eating delicious treats from the Chocolate Factory. We then of course all enjoyed the best movie yet....out of the Twilight Series that is!

Good times! Can't wait until our next reason to go out!

NEW MOON AT MIDNIGHT!!!

The night that we had all been waiting for!!! The midnight showing of NEW MOON! There were about 25 of us that all got reservations many months in advance for the Midnight showing...and the big night finally arrived! We started the night off by going to Olive Garden for a yummy dinner!

Needless to say, we loaded up on lots of pop so that all of us 'Mommy's' would be able to stay up all night! As you can see we were trying not to pee our pants!

I'm sure like many of you who have seen this movie, you fall in love with Jacob! So, here is me and my Jacob cookie...thanks to my good friends Kelli and Andrea.

The vampire chicks...Theresa, Julie, Cindy, Jamie and Kristine (along with Amber making her appearance in the back) :)

Annie, Amber, Angela (me), Lynette, Melissa and Emily.

Kristine, Anna, Michelle, Emily, Jenny and Katherine.

Haylee, Liz, Carrie and Tiffany. We all had lots of fun and laughs together at dinner and then headed off to The District!

What were we thinking? This place was jammed packed with all the other Twilight lovers out there...crazy night...but well worth it!

Me and my cute sister-in-law Aubrey...downing some more pop to help us get through the movie!

Luckily, most of us were able to sit pretty close to eachother. Good times!

Amber, Lynette, cute little Cayson in Lynettes tummy, and me!

Rebecca, Heidi, Jodi and Loralie....the rebel Red Bull chicks! What a fun night! Now the countdown begins for Eclipse on June 23rd! CAN'T WAIT!!!

THE GREAT PUMPKIN PATCH

This year we visited the pumpkin patch with Grady's brother and his family. It is fun to have them live near us now so that we can do these fun little traditions together! This is one of the boys favorite traditions...picking out the perfect pumpkin! It's funny how we really did walk up and down trying to find one that they both loved. Once they found it, they wouldn't let go. It was such a beautiful, fall night and we had a great time...followed by a delicious Training Table Bleu Bacon Burger! Yum!

The cousins...Logan, Sawyer, Landon, Annika and Luke.
My cute little Logan posing on the pumpkins.

Walking through the "scary" corn maze. I don't know how the boys figured out what scary meant, but for some reason this maze was "scary" to them!
Here is Logan with his corn that he found in the maze...I think he was more excited about that this year than he was his pumpkin!
Me and my handsome hunks!

Are these cute little cowboys or what?!
The boys taking a ride on all the tractors.
Logan especially liked the yellow tractor this year because it was the same color as his "cowan"...a.k.a. corn.
Sawyer and his cousin Landon with their pumpkins...I can't tell if Sawyer has pumpkin envy or if he totally knows that his pumpkin is better! :)
Mmm....Good! I guess we should have fed the boys before we left.
Grady and his brother with their cute babies!
Last but not least...our traditional little family picture.

SCARECROW FESTIVAL

This was our first time visiting the Scarecrow Festival at Thanksgiving Point. We have always done the Barnyard Boo but decided to shake things up a bit this year. We went with my good friend Jamie and her little boys Tyler and Caleb. Logan and Sawyer had such a great time with their little buddy Tyler...sadly it had been since last October since we had seen them. It's amazing how time flies! So, we were happy to see our friends again! :) We couldn't believe how much it cost to get in, so we kept saying that "this better be worth it", and it was! There was a lot of fun things for the kids to do...ride a train, make and launch rockets, lots of blow up slides, games, booths, and yummy food. We had such a fun day! Well, until next Halloween, right Jamie! :)

Logan and Sawyer
Playing at one of the booths...Logan & Sawyer could throw balls all day long!

Three cool little dudes...needless to say, we spent much of our day going up and down the slides...they LOVED it! Even though it did take them awhile to get the courage to go down.
