day 1 for the new life

today is my 1st day lapor diri...
nice school, nice boss, nice colleagues, nice environment....

GB briefing this morning... about
1. Teacher's commitment is very important
2. no class tambahan but with the term rajin mengajar semasa kelas sebenar.
3. active sport
4. Balance between work and faMily. So saturday & sunday usually free

thanks God... not much different with my ex-sch in Kapit... distance to my sch around 10 minutes...
leader style very laissez faire... free style... full trust to teachers... very motivated... bdw, he is president of STU

interesting points:
~thumb print - i need to be punctual :p

~it is the only one sk in sibu which got bahasa Tamil

~it is also the only one sk in sibu which got 1/4 teachers are chinese

~it's nickname is "sekolah luar bandar di dalam bandar" due to many rural pupils berhijrah and stated in this school. 55% iban

~all the newest information announced through watsapp group... and tv at the office keep on slide show the announcement... very full used of technology... free wi-fi... teachers pay RM10 every month for kebajikan makan-makan bersama... *i like

~my tablemate name "grace" also... but that's not her real name.she's indian but she prefer her christian name... so, to advoid confusing... i volunteer requested them called me LING instand of "grace"... is ok... i'm proud to be called as LING, my surname ...   haha

Well,its 1240pm now... almost ended my first new schooling day

reflection... a bit boring but quite relax.. walk around sch, orientation by myself, social with a drink in canteen, talk around table in office and the result i guessed i got to knw 50% of the sch staffs already... today i took gaji buta.. l'm superb free and do nothing from 7am until 1.05pm...

most of the staffs live very near..  are almost my neighbours around my housing area...

thanks God.... everything similiar and good as my ex-sch...
hope i can get a suitable timetable soon and start my teaching life here...
ok ... thats all for today...

conclusion:
THANKS GOD~ HE GIVES BETTER THAN WHAT I NEED!

没有电视的日子

今年预计搬家，所以工作的店屋电视就搬回sibu新家

结果就是暂时两、三个月没有电视的日子

 

没有电视的日子，才发现以前花太多时间在电视上了。

没有电视的日子，空出来的时间就拿来看看天花板上的蜘蛛网。

（但因为要搬家了，所以就留它给新屋主清理）

没有电视的日子，有空翻读置放一年的一箱新书。

没有电视的日子，下午补习外快时间全部乔晚上。

（每天下午都可以睡午觉）

没有电视的日子，无聊到极点就去摸摸我的电子琴提升技巧。

 

最最重要的是，

没有电视的日子，我可以每一餐都细细品尝盘里的食物。

这是我认为目前在“没有电视的日子“ 中得着最深刻的感受。

灰池里的一点亮光

话说；从我第一年执鞭到今年已迈入第五年。

每一年都是带放牛班。

争取了几年，终于在几年拿到了珍贵的珍珠班。

以前会向上头埋怨为何都是放牛班。答复就是：因为你比较会教。

ok...whatever...当我三岁小孩哄，随便你。

就这样，一直到今年的三年级。这几天的牛儿跟我沟通。。。

找到亮点了吗？

当我听到他们这童言中掺着rojak english 时， 虽然只是一个词，我都好感动哦。
好啦。。。我承认我的感动点很低。
但处在放牛班这么多年，难得有那么一丁点的成绩，那个成就感是无法言语滴。

希望在我还没调回家乡前或以后，你们这班能以完整的英文句子跟老师沟通。
那这一切就足以让我这放牛班老师升华了。

政府从2011年实行了三年的新教育计划，终于在2014年的今天换回旧制度了


在新制度下是没有分数制的。全部用band来代替。band 1 最低 band 6 最好
用意是不要小孩在分数压力下长大。也让弱的学生能跟到进度。
有其用意，但也有其弱点。
比如说，如果用band来算PMR成绩，是不能分理科还是文科的。
但如果在新制度下用回分数又违反它创办的主旨。
而且，老师需要留学生band level 的证据 （很多file) 和每个月上网填每个学生的band.
那个是很费神的。因为一个band可以有五个evident column.
如果那个学生是band 3.老师就得一格一个的tick evident columns.
一个还好。问题是一班35人。不是一科而已。而是每一科如此。
数学好的自己算下吧。那tick tick 的工还蛮废的其实。


总而言之，这“走一步，算一步”的制度终于在今年换回旧制度-分数制
不知是不是因为面对PMR白老鼠学生的家长和老师而换。
在实行三年多的新教育计划下，课程换新了，但制度换回旧的。本人其实还蛮开心滴。
比起那些废物file和上网点那屎不多的evident；记分数，排名次和分成绩单本人还蛮享受这工作。
也突然觉得马来西亚教育突然有新希望

回想过去三年不断上课程学新制度。。。
也难怪老师们听到新制度废了后的反应既然相同
就是：哇！可惜了好多钱。。。

新年

哇!一转就一月中了。2014即将是我人生中很多里程碑的一年。满满期待+兴奋。

今日小插曲:
切了蛋糕告诉学生要吃多少拿多少。
胖子甲兴奋的说:耶!我要拿多多!“
此时胖子乙骂他:拿拿拿!你以为是buffet吼!“
突然傻眼那胖子乙一个放假回来讲话好大人。
不知要气还是要笑。顿时词穷。五秒后自己傻笑。呆。

2014也是自己2开头年龄的最后一年。有点紧张，不舍，期待，好奇。。。五味杂全。
想对自己说:在最后2字头的年龄要青春不留白。
要做的事趁“年轻“快快做完。
加油加油!求主看顾带领新一年的生活。
