I'm God's child!

I love being home but I really dislike it when friends and family start looking at you and make "silly" remarks! (harlow?! Anyone know what I mean? *grin*) I love them to bits but sometimes the remarks they make just tears you to bits!...literally! That was how I felt yesterday...I was so upset bout what they said that I had this 'mini depression', didn't want to go out, didn't want to see anybody. So, I moped around the house but something began to change....I was led to put on some worship songs and I began to sing. I told myself, " I'm God's child, made just the way I am... I won't allow the enemy to tell me that I'm anything less!"

I quickly took out my bible and found verses to reinforce that...and this verse just stood out...
" I praise You because I'm fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful and I know that full well" ~Psalm 139:14
And if you've been reading my blog..I've quoted this verse before..and this reminds me that so easily we forget what we;ve learnt ....and the enemy will never never let you go...he'll always like to bring out past hurts. You thought it was dealt with, but the hurt comes back ..and that's when you need to look back, stay strong and say, "No, Satan! These are lies..I've dealt with it before and I STILL choose to believe what God says!" Never doubt God's words...Pray for God's help and He'll never disappoint you....I promise you that!

Home at last!

kekekekke yes! I have not been blogging lately! Yes! I was lazy not to blog about the family trip! And Yes! I'm back in Malaysia!!! YiipppeeeeEEE!!

Yes! Basically that's what happened in the past few weeks (a very short summary, as seen above! *grin*). I've been home for nearly 5 days and really life's treating me well. Busy meeting all my friends and going through my "what i'll like to eat when I'm home" list! It's getting shorter everyday. The thing I've missed most is the "cham shuit" (said in that way!) It's a super super super nice drink ,a mixture of tea and coffee with ice. We only get these drinks superbly done in Ipoh. I've tried settling for the "ying yong", usually served in Hong Kong restaurants in Chinatown, Melbourne. But nothing beats my "Ipoh cham suit"...awww!!!I love love it! Got to drink as much as possible while I'm here to last me another year! Oh well...I'll survive!

Anyhow, being home just is awesome!

Loved this bit from the movie "Hanging Up" ..where Meg Ryan hugs the coffee machine! I laughed so hard...it really defines my state of mind right now!kekekke Posted by Picasa
What a cool saying...I got this from the movie "Tuck Everlasting", "Don't be afraid of death, rather be afraid of the unlived life." How cool is that??Makes you think, doesn't it???
Meaningful songs!

Ok! I'm gonna add another singer to "my favourite artists" list...And the award goes to Mark Schultz! Oh my gosh..his songs are so nice and meaningful! (Mean Fen ku-che, if you're reading..I think you'll really like it!) Though it's sad, I really love it (abnormal for me!..if you know me..I can't handle sad ending stories or anything along those lines..kekekke), especially this song called "When you come home" ..beautiful song! Go check it out...ok...don't download it ! Go get the original or go get yourself a housemate that have his CD..*grin* (thank God for Pei Jet and her collection of CDs!)

Currently: At the library and blogging on a laptop I borrowed from the library...muahahhahaha!!!

Post-mamak blues!

Yup! Mamak Night's over and exams are near...boo hoo! But Mamak Night was simply awesome, fantastic, crazy (in a good way!) and plain fun! I'm so amazed and overwhelmed with the volunteers..you guys are the best ..I won't want to work with anyone else besides you guys! Everyone was just buzzing around during the preparation and making everyone feel at home throughout the event. I'll like to give a big shout out to my "teh tarik crew" . You guys are my favourite.. (I know I'm bias!) Li Sye, you shocked me with your hidden talent to make teh tarik! Gerard, your high endurance with frrreeezzing cold water to get ppl their chilled soft drinks*lol*, Boywin for your passion to put the tea bags in the jugs, Jeremy for your gift of opening the cans of condensed milk, James for your enthusiasm to learn teh tarik, Edmund and the other guys that kept refilling the water in the containers *wink* (the teh tarik crew's personal joke!)....THANK YOU HEAPS!!!

But best of all..admist all the crazi-ness, I was assured that it was all worth it when I saw the atmosphere of the whole place..ppl laughing, ppl cheering and enjoying their yummy food and hopefully enjoying their "tasty-free-teh-tarik". It was just ..all worth it! I thank God for coming through for us...Making sure everyone was ok. No one panicked, no one fainted, no one injured themselves bbq-ing satay....everything was good! Thank you God! This was never possible if it weren't for You.

And a big thank you too to Matt and Lisa as well...my two favourite people! You guys show me the meaning of true leadership. Your passion to see international students touched by God is amazing. I saw Lisa running around with rubbish bags, making sure we drank enough water, making sure we ate..and MAtt, hosting the event even though he wasn't feeling well...my gosh! You guys ARE the best! Thank you!Thank You ! Thank you!

I'll like to mention my appreciation to every single person but I know that you know that you all are valued and treasured and loved...You all get A ++ !! So, thank you , guys! Study hard! And ace those exams! We are survivors!!!! *kekekekkeke*

I was studying but my mind keep turning back to Mamak Night..imagining the "busy-ness", the many strangers that I'll meet, the joy of every person, the events, the sheer happiness of the person that walks away with the IPOd PHOTo 60gig...hmmmm *sigh*, the DVD player *sigh*, movie tickets*sigh* ..oh well...just seeing that Planet Uni is making a difference and doing something that will bless the community..It's all so00000 worth it! ..and of course, the delicious food that will be served that night...to die for!!! ...kekekke!

Life's sweeeet!

What a day! I had to walk in the rain today...It was raining so heavily at the very moment that I had to go to the city to get the "Planet Uni" stamps! Lugging my really REALLY heavy laptop (never realized that it was so heavy before today..) and dragging my bag (which was as heavy!), I made it to the tram stop by covering my head with my book! My shoes were totally drenched...hair was wet...pants were wet!! And I had to walk really fast to make sure that I'll get to the shop before it closes. Thank God I did! And thank God the rain stopped for a while!so...life's sweet!

Now, I'm so comfortable in my dry and comfy clothes.in front of Simpsons and sipping some apple juice and blogging ! hmmmm....what more can I ask for...Life's sweet!
