retail therapy, part three
what's this? more coach? and are those . . . oh my . . . 600 thread count sheets?!?!?
spring is here. the whales are swimming around outside, enjoying the herring. the snow will have to start melting soon. time to replace the flannel sheets inside, and step out into the sunshine with a new spring purse.
i was in juneau over the weekend for an early childhood conference. while there, we had a few hours in the evening to shop at walmart (sorry, lori), fred meyer, and costco.
anyway, one of the workshops was about inspiring creativity in children, and the presenter noted that we needed to feed our own creativity as well. thus the link to creative writing prompts (previous post). when i read the names in the prompt i thought "sounds like characters daddy would come up with." thanks for posting your stories.

Party Time
had a few friends over to celebrate st. patrick's day last night. the young 'uns played guitar hero. us old folks played don't wake daddy and mexican train dominoes.
did the baked potatoes in the slow cooker all day, layered with kosher salt. not too bad, but probably had too many potatoes in there.
my camera battery is dead, so no photos. :-(

retail therapy, part two
every girl needs a fabulous purse, right? well, cassie and i found this lovely bag at goodwill a few weeks ago...awesome, right?
well, no.
but i just HAD to take a picture of that purse because it is the exact same upholstery fabric as the couch i bought for my living room 15 years ago.
now this...
this is a fabulous purse. who knew i needed a coach purse? lori, you've ruined me. thanks so much, dear. and thanks, e-bay, for making me feel like a winner.
