I have great kids! I know every mom thinks that about her own, but I really do think mice are exceptional. They like playing with each other, they love to cuddle me, they hardly fight(ok, that might fluctuate) and they have such sweet, innocent spirits! Love, love, love. I just hope I don't ruin them with bad parenting, or my own quirks. With my hormones all a hot mess during pregnancy, I know there have been some days when they have just tried to keep their distance, and let mom's rage work itself out. Unnatural cleaning fits, short tempered days, and lots of naps. To them, all I can say-I'm very sorry! Some day they will be old enough to understand the cycle women have, and how we really aren't crazy, it's just, well, hormones, and pregnancy discomfort! But for now, they are good sports, and they forgive me faster than I forgive myself. I just wonder sometimes when they tell me thinks like:
(with the Elmo's world song playing....)
Carsen:Mom-if you had your own world like Elmo, what would it be like?"
Me: I don't know, I've never thought about it before....."
Carsen: I know Mom, it would be REALLY clean! (with a proud smile on his face)
*sigh*
sadly, it's true-and I'd be really happy about it!
So is this a good sign or a bad sign that my son has picked up on this? I don't know, but I guess it could be worse.

Virginia continued.......
One of the highlights of Emery's short life to this point was her trip with her girl cousins and Grammie Crowley to Build-A-Bear. All three girls got to pick a bear for their birthday, and they could not have been happier. Emery's choice of bear was awesome, the most colorful she could find, and while her 2 cousins chose matching Rapunzel dresses for their bears, Emery put together an outfit that matched one of her favorite ensemble at home-a pink tutu skirt, and princess tank. She and her bear can now match. She is her own free and sassy spirit!

On a different note, I have to brag about my boy-Tanner. He is one of the most thoughtful, helpful and good natured kids ever. The last few days he has been buckling Emery into her car seat when we go for a ride, he saw me vacuuming and got the plug and brought it over to me so I wouldn't have to walk over to it, and helping with small crises that arise in the house, like Carsen losing a Lego piece or Emery needing help to go potty. He told me, "I'll do it, cause you're pregnant." What a luck mom I am! Love that boy!

Virginia '11
I finally downloaded our vacation pictures, and was smiling all over again remembering how much fun we had with the Crowleys. All it took was a 4 1/2 hour drive to the airport, a 5 hour flight, another hour and a half to get to Grammies in Culpeper, Va. a bit of sleeping, and a car ride for another 6 hours to drive to heaven in Corola, NC., we were there! We love the beach, and the kids wasted no time in getting down to the sand. Emery only had a few good days of playing before she got sick, and tapped out for the week. Tanner and Jeremy are beach bosom buddies, and spent about 4 or 5 hours at the beach together every day busting waves and swimming. Carsen is more of a pool side kind of guy, and spent some good time with the little girls splashing and tending to his clam he caught on the first day. We had no idea clams had such long tongues! The clam went down hill by the end of the week too, and we had no idea if we would ever get rid of the smell......The boys rented some bikes and went for rides with Grandpa Crowley and Jeremy, while I made multiple drives in to civilization to get Emery treated. Tanner lost a tooth, and the two boys plotted the whole week on how to play some good pranks on their teenage cousin Lauren and her friend. They managed to short sheet their bed, and tee-pee them. The girls tee-peed them back, but the boys woke up at 1am. and cleaned it up then and there. I couldn't believe it-what mess do they ever clean that fast?? To the boys delight, the bottom level of the beach house where their room was had a huge flat screen tv, a Playstation, and a Wii. We didn't hear much from them all week. The only down side was that it was only a week. Next year we're pulling for 2 weeks. The next part of our adventure will be coming soon.

I'm ready....
That's right-I'm very, very ready for a vacation! The last few weeks have been crazy/madness, and today my goal is to sit and not move. Last weekend I was driving back from a 4 day trip to Arizona to love on my new niece.(and take a few shifts of holding her to relieve my postpartum sister.) Emery was a true hero in the car! It was a 91/2 hour drive each way, and she only had one minor meltdown. One! She is the best little traveler, she sings songs to me,talks, tells me stories, draws, talks, looks at books, talks and then takes a nap. I couldn't ask for a better girl. The only down side to our travels was that our bladders can handle about the same amount of fluid, which means that we were making pit stops every 2 hours. And even 2 hours made the stops VERY urgent!
We made it back to find a new surprise at our house. Emery thought the surprise was going to be a Barbie. But she opened the bathroom door to find....a kitten. She screamed-in fear. She's getting used to it and loves the idea of having a pet, and the boys are in love. I am the evil villain however that has banished the kitten-princess-to the garage because she has fleas. Mean old mom.
This week was busy with things like:my 1st doctors appointment. I'm a little behind. Something about the 4th baby has just lessened my sense of urgency to be poked and prodded. I'm a veteran, it's a nice to not be worried about every little wiggle and new kick. Anyways-doctors apptmt. check, blood work, ultrasound-check. We are happy to announce we will be adding another Crowley boy to the world! The boys couldn't be more pleased. I am being pressured to approve of the name Jimmer for the baby. Don't worry, I won't cave.
Next up was a dentist apptmts-Tanner is cavity free. Such a relief.
Tanner took a good spill in his bike Thursday evening and Jeremy ended up taking him into the ER to make sure he didn't need stitches. We were due-they were probably wondering if we moved down at the hospital. Tanner had a late night, so I let him sleep in Friday morning. He did well, he emerged from his room at 9:45! Not bad for a 9 year old.
And I spent the Friday cooking and preparing for an 11 year old campout. Tanner and Carsen came along and had a great time. They spent all day Saturday catching frogs, finding dead animals and carving sticks into spears. Little boy heaven. Emery got to hang out with her Daddy-Prince while we were gone and they celebrated her birthday together. That's right-Friday was also her birthday. I still feel bad I couldn't throw a party for her then, but we're getting to that this week. She did get Tinkerbell balloons from her daddy, which is turning into their little tradition. And of course Tanner and Carsen are making sure they get plenty of punches on them. We got home Saturday afternoon in time to give Jeremy a MUCH needed haircut, and rush off to our ward auction-of which we never win anything! Maybe we are just too cheap, or not cutthroat enough. What ever the problem, I didn't have to cook dinner, which was worth any other losses that evening.
So with that, along with homework, scouts, playgroups and all other household maintenance I'm about tuckered out. It's a good thing I cut back my running to 4 miles this week. I might have not make it otherwise. I am officially very pregnant now that I have to start cutting back on my normal routines, and have started living in my full panel maternity pants. I held out as long as I could on both of those. So adieu to my perfect skinny jeans, and pencil skirts. Goodbye to my energizing 6 mile runs that make me forget I'm getting old. I hope to return to you in 2012. If you don't recognize me then-I'll be the one that somewhat resembles the girl that you once knew.
The official countdown has begun. We are leaving for beach heaven in 10 days. I think we can hold out until then.

The Announcement
I have been told that I need to officially announce on our blog that I'm pregnant. So-there you go. I'm 11 weeks pregnant, and due in October. We are all excited, but none as much as me, since I have yet to throw up. I have been experiencing a miracle in being able to carry on with my normal routines. A few more naps are required, and several more meals a day. A stark contrast from my pregnancy with Tanner when I had to quit work, stop school, and lay at home on our futon and make at least 8 trips a day to the toilet to puke. I lost 10 pounds and it didn't ease up for 4 months. Carsen and Emery were only slightly less severe. So I am feeling very, very lucky/blessed that I can still wake up at 5:45 to run and workout, cart kids to school, host play group, do homework, work in the boys classes, function in my calling and most importantly, be able to cook and eat food!!! I'm not sure what I've done to deserve it, but I'll take it. Baby #4, we love you already.

A Day in the Life of a Princess.....
Miss. Emery is so fun to spend the day with. Not only is she cute beyond belief-she stays busy with her princess business:
She is very dependable when it comes to making sure all her dollies get their naps. Each has their own blankie, I still haven't learn who's is who's yet, they get a book to read, and then go to sleep.

Princesses eat healthy snacks together. All for one and one for all.

There are lots of dresses to wear, so sometimes they must be done two at a time. This isn't just to play for a while-this IS the outfit for the day. Dresses are put on first thing in the morning here, asap.

Along with songs, twirls and a choice princess movie a day, life is good with this girl!
