All I want for Christmas...

"All I want for Christmas is my 2 front teeth..."

Wooden ties

Dallas has a new hobby, woodworking.  He had bought a lot of tools and spends all his free time in his wood shop.  He finds projects on the internet and then makes them.  This is the current project that he has been working on.  He made one tie and Rhylee wore it to church during the primary program.  Everyone commented on them that he made one for all the boys.  They wore them to church and got lots of attention.  Unfortunately they are a little fragile and they were taken off before sacrament was over.

Halloween

Halloween is very exciting for the kids.  They look forward to it all year long.  The boys grew these pumpkins in the garden  and could hardly wait to carve them.  We went trunk-or-treating at the church this year and they got lots of candy, which they ate fast. We had so much fun getting ready for this day.  Burleigh was happy to just be alive and get candy.

1st Day of School

MacEnzie in her classroom

After a long week we finally got to the first day of school for all the kids but Burleigh.  MacEnzie is in 2nd grade, Rhylee in 1st, and Ainsley in kindergarten.  They were so excited to ride the bus that they wouldn't let me take them to school.  Unfortunately MacEnzie didn't have a rider so I took her and then found the boys.  MacEnzie was so made she couldn't ride the bus but was so happy to get to school.  After I got all the kids situated with their teachers and classrooms I was leaving and MacEnzie was wondering around exploring with her teacher in hot pursuit.  It was quite funny.  Every one had a great day and MacEnzie was able to ride the bus the next day.  About a wee later Dallas became their bus driver part time.  They love having him on the bus with them.

Burleigh's summer

Burleigh is our little .....Well I will let you describe him.

He is wearing a cowboy hat, camo shorts and irrigating boots.

mowing the field with dad.

His seat on the tractor.

He found the grease and dunked his head.  It took 2 baths to get him clean for church the next day.

At the movie.  It was his first and it did not last long.  He wanted to run out in the lobby.

Loves to ride the bus.

John Deere boy.  Always dirty, never stopping

He likes to get wet while moving lines.  It was cold this morning but he didn't care.

What can I say about this picture.  He loves life!

Family picnic

One day we decided to go on a picnic.  We had to stop at Dennis Williams house for a minute and he suggested we take his pickup and go check his cows.  Of course we did and had our picnic by the cows.  The kids had fun looking at them, and Burleigh has fun where ever he goes.  On the way back we saw a rattle snake.  The kids had a primary lesson the Sunday before about the media and the teacher used rattle snakes as the evils of it.  When we saw the snake the boys kept saying"don't touch the rattle snake."  It was funny.  We had a fun evening and a wonderful picnic.

Summer with Family

This summer we spent a lot of time with  family.  First Whitney and her family came and spent a month, we helped grandma and grandpa prepare and pack for their mission and enjoyed Angelina's company before she went home for her summer break.  Here are a few pictures of our summer with family.

Ainsley's lessoned learned

One day Rhylee and Ainsley were playing in the pantry behind the kitchen and Rhylee locked the door. Ainsley, trying to unlock it, climbed onto 2 jars of tomatoes to reach the lock.  Unfortunately Ainsley is too big for the jars to support him and they broke, who knew that would happen.  He cut his toes pretty good.  We were trying to decide if he needed stitches.  Ainsley was so worried about his injury he asked if he was going to die.  When I checked on him later he tells me, "mom I can not run, I cannot ride my bike, and I can not go swimming because I cut my toe."  He was so sad saying this.  The good news is that I gave him some ibuprofen and he was back to normal in day.  He learned a good lesson: don't stand on jars of food.
