Imitate Jesus
by Keith Butler Author Bio

"And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him" (Mark 1:10 KJV).

Jesus obeyed the Spirit of God immediately, or suddenly. Immediately the Spirit drove him into the wilderness. He obeyed the Spirit. We know He went into the wilderness and was tempted forty days and forty nights of the devil.

The point is that the Spirit of God began to lead Him and He immediately followed. He suddenly followed.

Now, the Spirit of God is on the inside of you. Greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world. Just like the Holy Spirit was involved in leading Jesus, the Holy Spirit is involved in leading you.

Now, you have a choice. You can come up with lots of excuses as to why you aren't following God. And you can come up with lots of reasons why you are not ready to obey God. You can say, "Oh, God, I still have to get my degree," or "But God I have to finish this first." "God, I don't understand why I have to do this…."

"Blah, blah, blah…."

I mean, you can come up with all kinds of excuses as to why you shouldn't give your heart to God and why you shouldn't serve Him the way you should, right now. Some folks will say, "Oh, I'm too young. I'm too old. I'm too this, I'm too that."

But with all these excuses, instead of a sudden explosion of God in your life, you're going to get nothing. If Jesus follows the Spirit suddenly, i.e., immediately…what should you do?

You should follow the leading of the Spirit immediately. When Jesus went to Peter and Andrew and beckoned them to follow Him, they immediately followed Jesus; no excuses.

You see, God knows what you are doing. He knows all about your plans. But you must cease from your own thing, and do things according to God's plans for your life. When God calls you, then He has blessings for you. There are blessings on the other side of your obedience.

A Personal Testimony
God Forgave Me So I Can Forgive Myself

Hi my name is Sandra Briscoek, and I'm a Christian. However, before I had my new "birthday" in Christ and became a Christian, I was a sinner. After I became a Christian I still made mistakes. But the difference is before I had no promise, hope, future and true happiness.

Now I do.

Now, when I do make a mistake, I know I have a promise, hope, and a future. Also, I have a happiness that doesn't fade away. And, when things don't always go right梐nd they won't桰 know I don't have to go through it alone, not any more.

You see, when you accept Jesus into your heart by confessing that Jesus is the Son of God. He died on the cross and shed His blood to wash away your sins, and was risen to give you eternal life.

Then you ask Him to forgive you for your sins. But it doesn't stop there. He will never leave you. He will always be there for you and He will always forgive you when you miss up. Just tell Him you're sorry from your heart.

I Was On The Wrong Road
I could tell you all the bad things I use to do, and all the people I use to hurt, but the bottom line is匢 was a sinner. I was lost and quickly going down the road called self-destruction.

The day I accepted Jesus as my personal Savior, I weighed only 104 pounds, and I'm five feet, six inches tall. That was way below the weight for my height. I didn't have any friends, because I had run them all off.

I had two children at that time. My family really didn't like me; they only tolerated me because I was family. I smoked two packs of cigarettes a day instead of buying food.

I had enough money to buy food for my kids, but when it came to me I had to choose cigarettes or food. I chose cigarettes. In my mind they were the only friend I had and I wasn't going to give them up.

A New Road
I was watching an evangelist on TV. He had a healing ministry. I saw people on TV getting healed. It was so shocking. I couldn't believe things like that were possible.

I had changed on the inside but it took several years for me to change on the outside.
- Sandra Briscoe
While watching the program, I asked the Lord for forgiveness and to be my Lord and Savior. I sent off for a free magazine because I wanted to know more. I also was sent a free tape about the Holy Spirit.

Immediately, the Lord started blessing me with money and other things. Two preachers dropped by my house and told me about the Holy Spirit. Then, the next day two women came by and gave me money, clothes, and toys for my kids. I couldn't believe people could care so much about someone they didn't even know.

Within a month I got a job making nine dollars an hour. That was more than I had ever made in my life. You are probably wondering if I was still smoking cigarettes. The answer is yes. As a matter of fact, I started smoking three packs a day.

But God loved me and He met me where I was. I had changed on the inside but it took several years for me to change on the outside.

After, working at my new job for a month, on the morning of the last day of my 30-day probationary period, I collapsed on the floor from malnutrition. I felt like my body was turning inside out. I weighed lest than 100 pounds.

For years all I wanted to do was to die. I would wait, and then hope that it would hurry up and happen. I wouldn't kill myself because when I was younger I visited a church and heard a preacher say that if you kill yourself you wouldn't go to heaven. So, I had always thought I was going to go to heaven as long as I didn't kill myself. I had been waiting; hoping that someone would just do it for me.

My Healing Finally Came
So, now for the first time in my life I wanted to live, and here I was on the floor dying.

I remember looking across the room seeing the free magazine from the TV evangelist lying on the chair. I said with all of my heart, "If Jesus can heal people when they touch this man, then He can heal me when I touch this magazine."

So, I slowly crawled across the floor, resting many times along the way. It took all the strength I had left to reach up and touch the magazine. Instantly, I was healed. Never in my life had I felt so good.

You see, Jesus loves you. He will meet you where you're at; you don't have to be perfect. All you have to do is your part. Do what you are able to do, and He will do the rest.

Always remember: Never compare yourself with other Christians. Everyone is at a different place in his or her Christian life. Just stay focused on Jesus.

I think the hardest part of being a Christian is learning to forgive yourself of past mistakes. Jesus loves you and no mistakes will ever change that. So go ahead and accept His life and love into your heart, forgive and forget your past, and you too will have an awesome testimony to share about God's goodness!

Keep Your Eyes on Jesus
by Mark Brazee Author Bio

"And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea. And Peter answered him and said, Lord if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me" (Matt. 14:25,28-30).

Peter stepped out of the boat and walked on the water. But then Peter made a mistake. He was hearing, believing and acting right, but then "he saw the wind boisterous."

He took his eyes off Jesus and started watching the strong wind blowing on the stormy sea.

At that moment, fear entered in, faith stopped and Peter started to sink. It was as though he was thinking, "I can't walk on water when the wind is blowing, especially when the waves are big!"

He must have forgotten who had made it possible for him to walk on the water when it had been smooth!

When we're believing God, we need to hear God's Word, believe God's Word, say God's Word and act on God's Word. But we also need to keep our eyes off the problem and on Jesus, who is God's Word.

No matter what stormy circumstances we face, Jesus is the answer to our every need.

Confession:
I keep my eyes on Jesus, not looking at the circumstances or impossibilities that surround me. I choose to believe His Word, and my faith holds me up!

Implementing the Law of Faith
by Kenneth Hagin, Jr. Author Bio

"For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith" (Mark 11:23).

I want you to notice three important truths in this verse of Scripture: If you don't doubt in your heart, but believe that the things you say are going to come to pass, you can have what you say.

In other words, if what you say with your mouth is a result of what you believe in your heart, then your faith will work for you. That is God's inevitable law of faith.

This truth is woven throughout the New Testament in all of the apostles' writings. In fact, a person can't even receive salvation without this faith. Romans 10:9 and 10 is the basic scriptural principle to receiving salvation - believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord and say it with your mouth. That's God's inevitable law of faith!

However, what you are believing God for is not going to fall on you like ripe cherries falling off a tree. It doesn't work that way. You have to do something. You have to declare what you want based on God's Word and not look at anything else. Then watch it happen! That's how you put God's inevitable law of faith to work in your life.

You can choose to speak the Word over your situation - that's called a good confession. Or you can speak the negative things about your situation. The Bible calls that an evil report. Anytime you speak negative words about your circumstances, it's an evil report.

Notice I didn't say, "Don't state facts." Or "Don't face facts." You can state the facts and you can face the facts. You can say, "Yes, this is the way it is." But then you have to move on from there because when you're in faith, the situation doesn't have to dictate your present or future circumstances.

You don't have to be moved by what you see. You don't have to be moved by the circumstances. You may come up against negative circumstances and negative facts, but with the eye of faith, you can look through the circumstances and through the facts to the victory on the other side. To do that, your faith and your confession must be in line with God's Word, not in line with the circumstances.

You see, the eye of faith always sees the victory. The eye of faith always presses through negative reports, negative facts, and negative circumstances to the victory on the other side. Circumstances have nothing to do with the eye of faith. Why? Because faith is not so concerned with what is as it is with what can be.

Faith sees the situation, all right. It notices it and says, "Yes, it's there." But then true faith goes on to state what the Word of God says about the situation.

When you're in faith, you will notice the circumstances, but then you'll declare: "The Word of God says I am more than a conqueror. The Word says nothing is impossible with God. The Word says I am more than a victor through Christ Jesus who loves me."

Faith in the Word of God takes contrary circumstances and negative facts and turns them around so you come out the victor - every single time. That's God's inevitable law of faith.

Reasons not to mess with a child
===========================
A little girl was talking to her teacher about whales.
The teacher said it was physically impossible for a whale to swallow a
human because even though it was a very large mammal its throat was very
small.
The little girl stated that Jonah was swallowed by a whale.
Irritated, the teacher reiterated that a whale could not swallow a human;
it was physically impossible.
The little girl said, "When I get to heaven I will ask Jonah".
The teacher asked, "What if Jonah went to hell?"
The little girl replied, "Then you ask him".

A Kindergarten teacher was observing her classroom of children while they
were drawing. She would occasionally walk around to see each child's work.
As she got to one little girl who was working diligently, she asked what
the drawing was.
The girl replied, "I'm drawing God."
The teacher paused and said, "But no one knows what God looks like."
Without missing a beat, or looking up from her drawing, the girl replied,
"They will in a minute."

One day a little girl was sitting and watching her mother do the dishes at
the kitchen sink. She suddenly noticed that her mother had several strands
of white hair sticking out in contrast on her brunette head. She looked at
her mother and inquisitively asked, "Why are some of your hairs white,
Mom?"
Her mother replied, "Well, every time that you do something wrong and
make
me cry or unhappy, one of my hairs turns white.
"The little girl thought about this revelation for a while and then said,
"Momma, how come ALL of grandma's hairs are white?"

The children were lined up in the cafeteria of a Catholic elementary
school
for lunch. At the head of the table was a large pile of apples. The nun
made a note, and posted on the apple tray:
"Take only ONE. God is watching."
Moving further along the lunch line, at the other end of the table was a
large pile of chocolate chipcookies.
A child had written a note, "Take all you want. God is watching the
apples.

My husband is an Engineer by profession, I love him for his steady nature, and I love the warm feeling when I lean against his broad shoulders.

Three years of courtship and now, two years into marriage, I would have to admit, that I am getting tired of it. The reasons of me loving him before, has now transformed into the cause of all my restlessness.

I am a sentimental woman and extremely sensitive when it comes to a relationship and my feelings, I yearn for the romantic moments, like a little girl yearning for candy. My husband, is my complete opposite, his lack of sensitivity, and the inability of bringing romantic moments into our marriage has disheartened me about love. One day, I finally decided to tell him my decision, that I wanted a divorce.

"Why?" he asked, shocked. "I am tired, there are no reasons for everything in the world!" I answered.

He kept silent the whole night, seems to be in deep thought with a lighted cigarette at all times. My feeling of disappointment only increased, here was a man who can't
even express his predicament, what else can I hope from him?

And finally he asked me:" What can I do to change your mind?" Somebody said it right, it's hard to change a person's personality, and I guess, I have started losing faith in him Looking deep into his eyes I slowly answered : "Here is the question, if
you can answer and convince my heart, I will change my mind, Let's say, I want a flower located on the face of a mountain cliff, and we both are sure that picking the flower will cause your death, will you do it for me?"

He said :" I will give you your answer tomorrow...." My hopes just sank by listening to his response.

I woke up the next morning to find him gone, and saw a piece of paper with his scratchy handwriting, underneath a milk glass, on the dining table near the front door, that goes....

My dear, "I would not pick that flower for you, but please allow me to explain the reasons further.."

This first line was already breaking my heart. I continued reading.

"When you use the computer you always mess up the Software programs, and you cry in front of the screen, I have to saved my fingers so that I can help to restore the programs. You always leave the house keys behind, thus I have to save my legs to
rush home to open the door for you. You love traveling but always lose your way in a new city, I have to save my eyes to show you the way. You always have the cramps whenever your "good friend" approaches every month, I have to save my palms so that I can calm the cramps in your tummy.

You like to stay indoors, and I worry that you will be infected by infantile autism. I have to save my mouth to tell you jokes and stories to cure your boredom. You always stare at the computer, and that will do nothing good for your eyes, I have to save my eyes so that when we grow old, I can help to clip your nails, and help to remove those annoying white hairs. So I can also hold your hand while strolling down the beach, as you enjoy the sunshine and the beautiful sand... and tell you the colour of flowers, just like the color of the glow on your young face...

Thus, my dear, unless I am sure that there is someone who loves you more than I do... I could not pick that flower yet, and die.. "

My tears fell on the letter, and blurred the ink of his handwriting... and as I conntinue on reading...

"Now, that you have finished reading my answer, if you are satisfied, please open the front door for I am standing outside bringing your favorite bread and fresh milk...

I rush to pull open the door, and saw his anxious face, clutching tightly with his hands, the milk bottle and loaf of bread....

That's life, and love. When one is surrounded by love, the feeling of excitement fades away, and one tends to ignore the true love that lies in between the peace and dullness.

Love shows up in all forms, even very small and cheeky forms, it has never been a model, it could be the most dull and boring form.. . flowers, and romantic moments are only used and appear on the surface of the relationship. Under all this, the pillar of true love stands... and that's our life...

Love, not words win arguments...

Unbelief Will Keep You From the Blessings of God
by Kenneth Hagin Author Bio

And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them. And he marvelled because of their unbelief....(Mark 6:5)
Let's look at a city that was robbed of God's best. According to Mark 6:5, when Jesus left the city of Nazareth, He left people languishing on beds of sickness and disease. These were people who could have been healed and should have been healed. It was the will of God to heal them.

Now many people say, "God is all powerful and if He wanted to heal them, He could have."

Well, wasn't Jesus God in the flesh? Yes! Jesus said, "He that has seen Me has seen the Father. If you want to see God working, look at Me" (John 14:9). Yet Jesus didn't heal these people. Why? It was because of their unbelief.

The unbelief of that city robbed them of the blessings of God. Unbelief robbed them of the healing God wanted to bring to them.

Confession:
It is God's will to heal me. But I have a part to play. I have to believe God's Word and refuse to doubt in order to receive the healing that Jesus bought and paid for me to have.

Time with God
Establishing Your Priorities—Part One

by Sharon Daugherty

God's priorities should be what we seek in life. If we follow His plan, we'll walk with proper balance in both family and ministry responsibilities.
So teach us to number [organize] our days [our lives], that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
(Ps. 90:12 KJV)
It's important to set priorities in your life. Establish what things are of most importance, then let everything else fall into its right place.

I've found the following to be a helpful guideline for my life. I encourage you to find your own guidelines from the Lord.
Priority Number One—time with God.

Priority Number Two—time with husband.

Priority Number Three—time with family.

Priority Number Four—time for ministry.
It should be realized that points two through four will have to be flexible to your priority time with God or you will become a frustrated wife and even resentful to changes.

There's peace in being in the right time and in the right place. God will always bless in the other areas where there is flexibility. I've been in this calling long enough to realize this.

Time with God
In this particular message, I want to focus on priority number one.

Wife and motherhood duties fall into order as we first submit our ways to God. Time with God is so vital. If we don't have time with Him, we won't be filled up to handle the day effectively.

It's like gassing up your car. If you're on "E" and you don't fill up with gas, you'll run out of gas along the way. I know, because I've done it before. Spiritually speaking, you'll run out of patience, joy, peace, and self-control and will miss God's leading in areas.

However, if you start your day with prayer and God's Word you will have on the armor of God, your spirit will be filled with the Holy Spirit's fruits, and your heart will be sensitive to hear God's voice speaking to you. I have a prayer guide, which I pray through, and I cover every area that surrounds my life.

When you pray daily, always pray for your husband. Pray that he be filled with God's wisdom, that he be strengthened in his spirit, soul, and body and guarded from the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. Pray God's Word over him, over yourself, and over your children. Pray God's Word over your ministry and the people of your church. You'll see results!

Take time to read and study God's Word, even if it's only a few minutes. Don't let the devil talk you out of it. That's exactly what he wants to do, so you'll be weak and can't fight him. Remember, you are in a spiritual battle. Keep your guard up.

Many times I have my one hour prayer time when I pray Scripture in the morning. Then I have my Bible reading time in the evening. However you want to do it, just do it. If Jesus had to take time alone with God, then we surely need to.

If your time gets interrupted, don't give up. Sometimes that happens with small children. Just pick up later where you left off. Also, you can pray while you're doing other things if you have to. God wants you to be still and know Him, but there are occasions when you may be interrupted in that time of stillness. This is where flexibility comes in. However, sometimes during your day God will give you time. Be sensitive to take that time with Him.

Whenever I have missed my time at the start of the day, I repented and asked God to forgive me, help me through that day, and help me to get up earlier the next day. That's important, but don't allow condemnation. The devil would love to make you feel like a failure all that day. Don't let him! Draw unto God and resist the devil.

God is looking at your heart. He understands and loves you. Having four small children, I've learned that God understands the life of a mother who is making the effort to seek Him. You can seek Him all through your day. He's listening.

Confidence Comes from Meditating the Word of God
by Keith Butler Author Bio

"And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us" (1 John 5:14 KJV).

Reading and meditating the Word of God produces courage to face any situation in life. It gives you confidence that God will do what He said in His Word.

For example, it's hard not to have confidence while reading First John 4:4, "...greater is he that's in you, than he that's in the world."

As you meditate that, you mutter it over and over in your heart. "Greater means bigger than; that means stronger than; that means larger than; that means smarter than. Greater is He that is in me. He's in me. He's not out there; He's in me. Greater is He that's in me, than he that's in the world. Who's in the world? The devil is in the world. Demons are in the world. Those that come against me are in the world. But greater is He that is in me."

After a while your confidence begins to rise. Not in yourself, but in the One who's on the inside of you. In other words, the way to enter into the rest of God is to meditate the Word of God. If there is an issue you are facing, the first thing to do is to get God's Word on the subject, and meditate that Word until it becomes a part of you.

Meditate on it until you choke the unbelief to death. You will then come to the place where you are totally confident in God.

Entering into the rest starts first of all with reading and meditating the Word on a daily basis. Decide that reading the Word of God is more beneficial to you than reading too many romance novels. It is more important than watching your favorite soap opera on television.

Guard yourself from those things that take your rest from you. When you put the Word of God ahead of those things on a daily basis, you'll see yourself grow in courage and confidence. You will have the confidence to stay in faith. You will have the courage and confidence to continue to praise God until your situation changes. You will see God work on your behalf.

He met her on a party. She was so outstanding, many guys chasing after her, while he was so normal, nobody paid attention to him.At the end of the party, he invited her to have coffee with him,she was surprised, but due to being polite, she promised.

They sat in a nice coffee shop, he was too nervous to say anything, she felt uncomfortable, she thought, please, let me go home.. suddenly he asked the waiter: "would you please give me some salt? I'd like to put it in my coffee." Everybody stared at him, so strange!

His face turned red, but, still, he put the salt in his coffee and drank it.She asked him curiously: why you have this hobby?

He replied: "when I was a little boy, I was living near the sea, I liked playing in the sea, I could feel the taste of the sea, just like the taste of the salty coffee. Now every time I have the salty coffee, I always think of my childhood, think of my hometown, I
miss my hometown so much, I miss my parents who are still living there".

While saying that tears filled his eyes. She was deeply touched.

That's his true feeling, from the bottom of his heart. A man who can tell out his homesickness, he must be a man who loves home, cares about home, has responsibility of home.. Then she also started to speak, spoke about her faraway hometown, her childhood, her family.

That was a really nice talk, also a beautiful beginning of their story. They continued to date. She found that actually he was a man who meets all her demands; he had tolerance, was kind hearted, warm, careful. He was such a good person but she almost missed him!

Thanks to his salty coffee! Then the story was just like every beautiful love story, the princess married to the prince, then they were living the happy life... And, every time she made coffee for him, she put some salt in the coffee, as she knew that's the way
he liked it.

After 40 years, he passed away, left her a letter which said:"My dearest, please forgive me, forgive my whole life lie. This was the only lie I said to you---the salty coffee. Remember the first time we dated? I was so nervous at that time, actually I wanted some sugar, but I said salt It was hard for me to change so I just went ahead.I never thought that could be the start of our communication! I tried to tell you the truth many times in my life, but I was too afraid to do that, as I have promised not to lie to you for anything....

Now I'm dying, I afraid of nothing so I tell you the truth: I don't like the salty coffee, what a strange bad taste..But i have had the salty coffee for my whole life!Since I knew you, I never feel sorry for anything I do for you.Having you with me is my biggest happiness for my whole life. If I can live for the second time, still want to know you and have you for my whole life, even though I have to drink the salty coffee again."

Her tears made the letter totally wet.

Someday, someone asked her: what's the taste of salty coffee?

It's sweet. She replied.

Don't Serve the Problem
by Kenneth Copeland Author Bio

"Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him" (Isa. 55:7).

You can't win a victory as long as the problem is the biggest thing in your life!

The Lord woke me up to that fact a few years ago. At that time I was facing some difficulties in my ministry that seemed so big to me, I thought about them from morning till night. Even though I was standing against them, I was thinking more about those problems than about the scripture promises I was standing on.

Then I saw something in Matthew 6:24-25. "Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life."

I'd read that scripture hundreds of times, but that day I saw something I'd never noticed before. I saw that immediately after Jesus said, "No man can serve two masters;" He said, "Take no thought." Suddenly it hit me: We serve our thoughts!

That's why the Isaiah 55 says for us to forsake our thoughts, and by the Word, take God's thoughts. That's why 2 Corinthians 10:5 says to cast out thoughts that challenge the Word and bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.

Do you want deliverance from your problems today?

Then quit serving them! Quit allowing them to consume your thought life. And don't wait until circumstances change to do it. Instead, realize that circumstances won't ever change until you switch from wrong to right thinking.

I know that's not easy to do, especially in the midst of heavy darkness and trial. But you can do it if you'll do these three things:

First, remember you aren't alone. You have the Word (God's thoughts). You have the Holy Spirit to strengthen you and you have the mind of Christ.

Second, get around people who are full of faith. Instead of rehearsing your problem, let them do the talking. Make yourself listen. Join in with their faith and resist darkness.

Third, praise God. Do whatever it takes to make yourself praise. When you begin to praise, God's presence will turn back those worried thoughts and make them fall!

Your problems are not the biggest thing in your life. Jesus is. Serve Him with your thoughts and He will set you free!

hey cheryl i hope you dun mind that i put ya testimony out here...(">)anyway this is cheryl from NYP1!!!!wana share with you guys about her powerful testimony!!

Hi everybody out there,

Let's me start now! Remembering, last week sat, i was working on my information on CBL(context based learning). CBL is actually a lesson which we need to find information according to the parts we were given to do& presented it in small groups.

On sat, after coming bck from our usual dinner, i started to work on my information. U know what happened? Oh, no, my information dint match what i was given to do. N u know what? I need to present it in 3 days' time. By the way, i am to say that i wont do last mins' work. It's just that b4 that, i got my practical test, theory test& presentation before that in the same week.

Of course, i did spend some of my time finding the information. i've never thought that it's the wrong one. By the way, i can only just say that i dint reli look carefully into it too. If not wrong, i found it in week 3 before CNY.

On that night, since i knew i found the wrong information, i quickly searched it thr the net. Hoping i could find something out from it. I spent a long time searching. All the materials weren't what i want. At that time, I was stressed& about to break down. Reminded that i could pray to God. With faith on god, hoping to find it! Instead, god gave me wisdom! That's to ask help from people! So i logged on to msn. Hey! I saw them!

Firstly, i 1 2 thnx god! N used this time to say a zillion thnx u 2 joshua, cyvia& yongfuh! Thanx 4 yr help! It may seem little to the 3 of u but it is something that i need the most in that critical time! Heez. They did spend quite some time helping me! N i believe they give in their best! Therefore, on my part, i kept on searching& doing my best 2! Although i only had limited days left to do, i just told myself that i'll do my best& let god do the rest! Heez.

Finali, i used as much time i'd on hand 2 finish my presentation work. N it had to be in powerpoint slides& need to print out 14pcs too. Although i was not very satisfied with it in the end, i did know i did my best! What i need 2 do is to pray that everything'll go well on that day! Of course, i also asked the 3 of them 2 keep me in prayer 2!

On that day, i was nervous but with faith 2! Glad that everything was over now! Thanks god 4 his given help! Lastly 2 conclude, i am still thankful with gladness in my heart for the help that was given 2 me at that critical time!

Read Matthew 18:15-20

Let not mercy and truth forsake you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. -----Proverbs 3:3

The Police in San Diego received complaints from a woman who said she was getting annoying phone calls. In the middle of the night, a person would phone her, bark like a dog, and then hang up. Police eventually discovered that the source of the calls was a neighbour. He said that whenever he was awakened by the barking of her dog, he wanted to make sure she was awake too.

The neighbour's approach certainly din't express the wisdom of God. The scriptures tell us that it's often necessary to face a problem head-on (Matthew 18:15-20). At the right time and for the sake of all parties involved, an honest discussion is part of the solution.

Yet such a loving, open approach is not usually followed among Christians. Rather than trusting God and walking into a tense situation with a clear conscience and a desire for peace, we tend to play games. Hints are dropped. Affection is witheld. Conversation is abbreviated. The air gets chilly, and ice forms around a situation that can only be melted by a wise combination of mercy and truth (Proverbs 3:3).

Our complaints against others cannot be smoothed over by burying our anger. If a problem is not small enough to overlook graciously, then let's talk about it. ------Mart De Haan

If you can't forgive a brother
For the wrong he's done to you,
Go to him and talk it over------
That's the Christian thing to do.------D. De Haan

The best way to destroy your enemy is to make him your friend.

Freely Forgive
Read: Colossians 3:12-17

If anyone has a complaint against another;
even as Christ forgave you, so you also must
do. ------Colossians 3:13

Studies by a number of psychologists show that it is not
great riches that make people happy, but friends and
forgiveness. Commenting on these findings in a USA
Today article, Marilyn Elias says, "The happiest people
surround themselves with family and friends, don't care
about keeping up with the Joneses next door, lose
themselves in daily activities, and most important,
forgive easily."

University of Michigan psychologist Christopher
Peterson says that the ability to forgive others is the
trait most strongly linked to happiness. He calls it
"the queen of all virtues, and probably the hardest to
come by."

An unforgiving spirit is often the last emotional
fortress we yield to the power of God. Even as
Christians, we may cling to anger and bitterness,
feeling that those who have wronged us should suffer
for their offenses. But when we realize how much God
has forgiven us, we are compelled to extend mercy to
others. The Bible urges us to "put on tender mercies,
kindness, humility, meekness, long suffering;...even as
Christ forgave you, so you also must do"
(Colossians 3:12-13).

Forgiveness is God's command to us and is part of a life
of love, peace, thankfulness, and praise (vv. 14-16).
Freely we have been forgiven; let us freely
forgive.------David McCasland

Lord, help me be kind and forgiving---
Your loving forgiveness You've shown
To me for the sins I've committed;
Lord, grant me a love like Your own.-----Anon.

When it seems you can't forgive,
remember how much you've been forgiven.

An incredibly gifted young lady that was already competing in international surfing competitions with the goal of one day going professional. Back on October 31st while practicing, Bethany was attacked by a shark that ripped her left arm off just below the
shoulder. Now here is a young woman just into her teenage years, her whole
life in front of her, dealing with a major life-changing event. Just 10
weeks after this horrible accident, Bethany was back in a surfing competition!

That is what I am talking about when I say that when you face a major
life-changing event, it is YOUR CHOICE to either allow that event to destroy
the rest of your life or to move past it and on with your life. Bethany
made the choice that she was not going to let losing her left arm stop her
from living her life, or even from doing what she loved and was so gifted
at. It should also be noted that Bethany had a strong faith in Christ prior
to this incident and is committed to using her tragedy to share the hope we
have in Christ with others.

I love you and care about you so much. I want to give you this word of
exhortation and encouragement today. No matter what the mountain is that
you are facing in your life today, through your faith and God's strength you
can make that mountain disappear!!! If you are a child of God, you have the
authority to say to that mountain "be gone" and it will BE GONE! Jesus said
that if you have only as much faith as the size of a mustard seed you can
cast that mountain into the sea. I tell you today that in the name of Jesus
Christ of Nazareth, you do not have to let the mountain in your life crush
you, but through your faith you can cast it into the sea and keep moving
forward with your life.

I will be praying for you today. Praying that you will not allow the
life-changing obstacles we all face in this life keep you from God's
blessings and fulfilling your purpose to serve and glorify Him with your
life. God has a perfect plan and purpose for your life. Why did He allow
cancer to cause Alyson to lose her leg? Why did he allow a shark to take
Bethany's arm? Why did God allow what has happened in your life? I wish I
had those answers but I don't. But I can tell you that God will give us the
strength to overcome whatever obstacles life can throw at us, and still know
His joy and peace in the midst of the storms of life.

In His love and service,
Your friend and brother in Christ,
Bill Keller

This awesome prayer takes less than a minute. When you receive this, say the
prayer. That's all you have to do. There is nothing attached. This is
powerful. Just send it on to whomever you want - but do send it
on.......please! Prayer is one of the best free gifts we receive. There is
no cost but a lot of rewards. Let's continue praying for one another.

Father, I ask you to bless my friend reading this right now. I am asking
You to minister to their spirit at this very moment. Where there is pain, give
them Your peace and mercy. Where there is self doubting, release a renewed
confidence in Your ability to work through them. Where there is tiredness,
or exhaustion, I ask You to give them understanding, guidance, and strength
as they learn submission to Your leading. Where there is spiritual
stagnation, I ask You to renew them by revealing Your nearness, and by
drawing them into greater intimacy with You. Where there is fear, reveal
Your love, and release to them Your courage. Where there is a sin blocking
them, reveal it and break its hold over my friend's life. Bless their
finances, give them greater vision, and raise up leaders and friends to
support and encourage them. Give each of them discernment to recognize the
evil forces around them, and reveal to them the power they have in You to
defeat it. I ask You to do these things in Jesus' name.

P.S. Passing this on to anyone you consider a friend will bless you both.
Passing this on to one not considered a friend is something Christ would do

Leave the Past Behind
by Kenneth Copeland Author Bio

"But this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before" (Phil. 3:13).

Failures and disappointments. Aches and pains from the past that just won't seem to go away. Most of us know what it's like to suffer from them, but too few of us know just what to do about them. So we limp along, hoping somehow they'll magically stop hurting.

But it never happens that way. In fact, the passing of time often leaves us in worse condition - not better. Because, instead of putting those painful failures behind us, we often dwell on them until they become more real to us than the promises of God. We focus on them until we become bogged down in depression, frozen in our tracks by the fear that if we go on, we'll only fail again.

I used to get caught in that trap a lot. Then one day when I was right in the middle of a bout with depression, the Lord spoke up inside me and said: "Kenneth, your problem is you're forming your thoughts off the past instead of the future. Don't do that!"

Unbelief looks at the past and says, "See, it can't be done." But faith looks at the future and says, "It can be done, and according to the promises of God, it is done!" Then putting past failures behind it forever, faith steps out and acts like the victory's already been won.

If depression has driven you into a spiritual nosedive, break out of it by getting your eyes off the past and onto your future - a future that's been guaranteed by Christ Jesus through the great and precious promises in His Word.

Forget about those failures in the past! That's what God has done (Heb. 8:12). And if He doesn't remember them anymore, why should you?

The Bible says God's mercies are new every morning. So if you'll take God at His Word, you can wake up every morning to a brand new world. You can live life totally unhindered by the past.

So, do it! Replace thoughts of yesterday's mistakes with scriptural promises about your future. As you do that, hope will start taking the place of depression. The spiritual aches and pains that have crippled you for so long will quickly disappear.

Instead of looking behind you and saying, "I can't," you'll begin to look ahead and say, "I can do all things through Christ Who strengthens me!"

God?s Plan Is Simple
by Larry Ollison Author Bio

In Proverbs 4:20, where the scripture begins, "My son...," it is talking to us. As born-again believers, we are children of the King. We are born into the Kingdom. We are inheritors of the promise. Every biblical promise and all of the Word of God applies to us if we confess with our mouths and accept the promises.

Now, how do we sign the contract on our side of the promise? We either receive it, and confess that we receive it, or we reject it, and confess that we reject it. It's all done with our words.

This is one thing about the Word of God we need to understand as Christians. It's God's plan. We can kick as much as we want to, but the only thing that is going to work is when we follow His plan. Our words are important because that's how God planned it.

If you think that's too simple, maybe you need to realize that God tried to make it as simple as He could for us. Have you ever thought that God loved us so much that He didn't want to make His plans difficult? He didn't say that in order to be saved you have to walk one thousand miles, or pray twenty-two days, or fast for a month.

His plan only requires that you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord. And when you confess that, you've signed your half of the contract and it becomes valid. You've got eternal life. It's so simple and yet some people will still miss it.

Giving Our Attention to His Word
Proverbs 4:20 says, "My son, give attention to my words...." God is carefully telling us to pay attention, take in, meditate on, and surround ourselves with His words.

Why is He directing us? Because He knows if we pay close attention to what He is saying, that out of the abundance of our hearts our mouths will speak the right things.

When you get yourself into a jam or you're backed up against the wall, you don't have time to think about what God's Word says.

You may be driving down the highway and a drunk driver swerves into your lane and there appears to be no way of escape. What you don't need to say at that moment is, "Oh, my gosh, I'm going to die!" If you've got the Word of God in your heart, you will probably end up saying something like, "Jesus!!!"

The result will be 180-degrees different because the Word of God says you get what you speak. So if we keep the Word of God in our hearts, it will be in our mouths at the times we need it, even when it's needed quickly in a moment of crisis. Then we will be protected.

Quality of Life
by Ron Luce Author Bio

"Eternal life is to know you, the only true God, and to know Jesus Christ, the one you sent" (John 17:3).

The Amplified Bible says that we might "know - perceive, recognize, become acquainted with and understand You, the only true and real God." This is quality of life - to know God.

Did you know it is possible to know the Bible backward and forward and still not know the Author? The very Word of God is His thoughts, His character is revealed through the Word. God not only wants us to study His Word but to be in His presence.

Imagine trying to apply the Word of God to your life without knowing the Author, without fellowshipping with the Person of God Himself. Your life would be very dry. You would lack results and power in day to day life and in prayer. You have to KNOW Him.

God desires to have a relationship with you, where you constantly fellowship with Him. Quality of life is dependent on how cultivated your relationship with Christ is.

How do you cultivate a relationship? You spend time with Him, in His presence. When you read His Word you're not simply reading just to read, but with the intentions of finding out more about His character.

Just as building friendships, this too requires asking questions, digging in deep to find out the secrets, and simply taking time out of the day to share things with Him.

Divine Exchange - Behind the song
By Lara Martin

The song 'Divine Exchange' is probably the easiest song I've ever written. It came out of a time of worship. There was just me, my guitar and the Holy Spirit! As I began to focus on the awesomeness of who God is, the words and melody just tumbled out:

"My heart is captivated Lord by You alone
Captured by the awesomeness of you alone
Melted by the grace and mercy you have shown
I stand in wonder"

When I was a child, I remember our family cat catching a bird in the garden. My Mum, being the animal lover that she is, was so upset that shebrought the bird indoors to nurse it. She laid it in a box and tended to it. It had a broken wing and was suffering from shock. I watched as she carefully looked after it, until it was well enough to be released into the open again. It was amazing to see how that little bird was restored and ableto fly again.God has often spoken to me though natural situations and I believe this is an example of the compassion that God feels towards us. God wants nothing more than to see his children restored and reconciled back to him, walking in the fullness of life he has given us. He exchanges our brokenness for wholeness, our sickness for healing, our rejection for acceptance. Like it says in Isaiah 61:3 'To bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.' This is the language of divine exchange. Jesus told us
to cast our cares upon him in exchange for his yoke which is easy and his burden which is light.

"I reach to you the one who makes the blind eyes see
Who breaks the chains of sickness with authority
Restoring what was broken so it may fly again"

The more time we spend with God the more we become like him. An exchange takes place as we decrease and he increases in our lives. God can exchange our pride for humility, our fear for courage, our timidity for boldness, our anxiety for peace, our spiritual blindness for greater insight and understanding. When we spend our lives in worship before him, more of his character increases in us. The driving force in our lives should be one of wanting to seek him daily so that we become more like him. If we live and breathe for him, it will affect the whole of our lives, not just a part. What an adventure to have God in the driving seat of our lives!

"I live to worship You
I breathe to worship You
All of my days Your face I will seek"

The ultimate Divine Exchange of all time took place at Calvary. There Christ took the sin of the world upon himself so that in exchange we could be free from sin and have a glorious hope and future. This is our inheritance! My songs are a reflection of my personal walk with God but they are also a reflection of Abundant Life Church and particularly the Word ministry from my pastor, Paul Scanlon. I couldn't help but write a song called Divine Exchange because as a church this message of hope is our very heartbeat- it reflects God's heart for people. We have seen broken lives restored through our feeding and clothing programmes, through our bus ministry that brings in hundreds of people to church every week from deprived areas in our city, and through our ministry into the red light area - to name but a few. We believe in practically expressing the love of God. We have watched as these people have come to the place of Divine Exchange, been restored and are now learning to 'fly again.' They will never be the same again. My prayer is that as people listen to and sing this song, they themselves will be led to the place of Divine Exchange where they can experience a life-changing encounter with God.

"For as I worship You, you lead me to that place
To that place of divine exchange..."

+Wiped the tears from my eyes, With forgiveness in His voice I felt His love for me again+
