I brought Shushu to Itacho at Ion to have this Japanese feast. How sad is it, she said there's isn't any Japanese food in Mel, Japanese food like sushi and such. There's only bento and just bento.

Okay, let's see how much we ate.
Their chawamushi is really soft and smooth. This is their steamed egg with crabmeat.
And this is their steamed egg with roe.
Spicy tuna beancurd, taste a little weird. Just plain inari is better I think.
Fatty salmon sashimi. There's a really difference between fatty and normal. Fatty is so much nicer.

Mango lobster creative roll
Soft shell crab handroll
And so, that explains our damage.

Testing out with my camera.

We went up to Dempsey Hill's Ben and Jerry to have our dinner together with Ivan and Sok Khiang.

My kids size spaghetti which is just nice for me. I guess I should just order kids size wherever I go, at least, I won't waste food. Their spaghetti texture is smooth, the best is you won't get sick of it when you eat too much. Taste is just nice.
And this creamy pasta. It looks creamy but it's not too thick. I remembered I had one creamy pasta recently at Wala Wala. It taste quite shit, too thick and all lump together after awhile, so after eating a few mouthfuls, I feel sick of it.
When you compare like this, there's a huge difference.

So here's my 1st start. I woke up early in the morning just to try out what Sok Khiang has recommended us, the very nice beef noodles. So journey starts.

The place is at Lorong 7, Blk 22 if I'm not wrong. If you are taking public transport, just take a train, alight at Toa Payoh Station or just head straight to Toa Payoh Bus Interchange, take this bus, 238, it's around 5 mins away from TPY Central, 5-6 stops I guess.

It's at the market area, quite easily spotted too.

Ta-da, it's called Hai Nan Xing Zhou Beef Noodles. They've got good reviews at the stall by looking at the ads and the queue. I heard most of the time, you've got to wait for around 10minutes. Price is pretty reasonable, it's just $3 for the cheapest bowl.

They are closed every Monday, so those who want to go down to try, please take note.

Heard that it's a good popiah stall and we ordered just 1 to try. The skin is in between crispy and soft. Fillings are quite a lot too. It's one of the better popiah in Singapore. The other one will be at Clementi, just opposite OCBC bank. The queue is always a long one, average waiting time is around 10-15minutes.

Rating : 3/5

Okay, this is the main character of today - Beef noodles. I had the dry one, the gravy is quite tasty. If you are having dry one, order bee hoon ( the white thick one). It blends well with the gravy, quite juicy. Don't order kway teow for the dry one. It's a bit weird for dry, I guess it's better with soup.

Soup is a little bland too, for those who love Thai soups, I guess you will love this soup. It taste similar to those traditional Thai soups. It's not thick and doesn't have the strong beef taste. For me, I prefer something thicker with a stronger taste.

The meat is nice. Beefballs are nice, tasty and fresh. I believe some beefs are quite stink, they've got a certain taste which won't go off even after a few hours. Slice beefs are soft, not like chewing gums too.

As for the chili sauce, it's not spicy, quite tasteless though.
Overall, I feel that the one used to be at Purvis Street is nicer. Sad to say, the stall has already shifted to nobody knows. I only know it's called HOCK LAM BEEF NOODLES and I know there's another one at China Square, wonder if it's the same. Probably I'll go try that out next week.

WOOH, Chendol such early morning. I'm not a big fan of Chendol so I'm not sure how others taste like so, sorry, I don't know whether it's nice not.
This bakery shop at Central serves unique and special flavor breads. It is located just opposite Cheers.
This is one of the unique and recommended ones in their shop. It is filled with cream inside but somehow it taste like cheese with cream. This bread is very soft and smooth, not too fluffy like those normal random breads. Just pop by to this shop and have a try, people will just either love it or hate it.

I think I've been eating a lot today. Just after all those food, ice cream is next! One of my favorite ice cream. Try salt and caramel with coke. SUPERB

Last activity of the day is Party World. Good idea of placing a massage machine in the room but normally you will use it only awhile,so quite wasted, if only there's full body massage chair. LOL

This is one of the nicest cheesecake I've ever had so far. It's from Hokkaido and you can't get it anywhere else. The first bite will definitely melt in your mouth. It doesn't have the very strong taste and it taste just so nice. So smooth and once you start, you can't stop. Heavenly nice. I hope someone will franchise it to Singapore.

I've got a wonderful Sunday today. I went to dye my hair in the afternoon and the colour is just nice for me. It's light brown and I've got no idea how to describe too, will upload a picture soon. My previous colour was a bit reddish copper brown and I think I'm quite bored with that colour. Initially my plan was to have ash blonde BUT that colour needs to do bleaching which for sure my hair will be ultra dry and the person said don't bleach whole head as my hair is long, if I want, just highlight. In the end, I just dye lighter brown and people who saw me, said that this colour suits me better than the previous one. I'm still contemplating whether I should highlight my hair or not.

And after which, I went for a foot massage. I was very tired back then and never know the massage was superb, probably I've got very aching feet and I was tired that makes the massage even better. Haha and I think I will always patronize the one near my shop. She gives me good deal always, I paid $15 supposed to be only for 30mins, she will always extend the time to 45mins for $15. How nice is it, and I can go whenever I feel like since it's so so so near my shop.

Had dinner at Marina Barrage. This time round, we didn't order the steamboat, we ordered ala carte instead and the nicest food over there is the pork chop with fries. If you are thinking to go there to eat ( 7th storey), order the pork chop and it's their signature dish. It's really delicious, I think I'm happy eating that with chicken rice. So good combination. Haha. See the beautiful there, different types of kites up there flying it's pretty amazing to see such. It makes me feel I'm in another country.

That's how I spend my off day today. GOODNIGHT.

Those who love Taiwan food, please visit this in Bugis Village because they've got nice taiwan food. One of the famous, tempura ( tian bu la) is quite nice. It taste spicy yet not really, a little like the shaker fries in Macdonalds. The other one you can try it's their fries. They've got 9 flavours for you to choose from and they cost just $2. Their milk tea is really nice too and are generous with their pearls. I think it's franchised from Taiwan as I saw many branches in Taiwan on their namecard. It is located at the back of Bugis Village, nearer to the hawker centre.

The other you can try it's the noodles bar on the second floor. HK is much nicer, tastier and more varieties for you to choose, those who would like to try cold noodles, you can try the one at Bugis but I still find it so-so only. A bit too blend though.

I got this from this website,

http://www.yesicanusechopsticks.com/capsule/

Read more if you are interested and I think it's pretty amazing to see these. There are people who really stay there in Japan and it's only for men. It will cost you Y3,800 for the so called room and bath. I think it's quite expensive though. You can get some traditional tatami style for only Y4,500 and it's only SGD$66. The amazing thing is that they've got air-conditioner inside, probably suits those guys who are drunk and just want to have a place to sleep as it's near the red light district area. Pretty cool ah.
