Woo...it's been a tough time around here with all the crazy weather. We've been under tornado watches and storm watches and flood watches since Monday and I'm ready to turn off the weather channel. So how about we look at some pretty polishes today? It's "least expensive" day in the Neverending Pile Challenge, nothing less expensive than free, right??
Today is the day in the Neverending Pile Challenge where are the big guns are gonna come out. I don't have a lot of money, I certainly can't go out and buy Clarins whatever it is, or a Lynnderella LE...I just cant do that sort of thing unless I REALLY have to have something. And I've yet to find that something I have to have that badly. I don't even for a sec judge anyone who does, we're all justified to spend what we want on what we want! Not to mention I think it's safe to say we ALL have different ideas about what is a crazy price to pay for polish.
Hey guys!! Today I've got the latest Nicole by OPI and Kellogg's Collaboration. If you recall, these two teamed up last year as well to bring you free polish for buying select/specially marked Special K items. My review of the first set of polishes from 2013 can be found HERE. Well they are back this year, and while the red polish, Challenge Red-y, is a repromote, the other two aren't and they're beauties! Let's check it out!
Hello!!! I had several different renditions in my brain about what to do for todays prompt for NPC. I even went so far as to use EIGHT of my ILNP Ultrachromes, but I hated how it turned out so I fell back on a mani I did last month and hadn't posted yet, because in the end, I wanted THESE polishes just as much as those ultrachromes!
So there was a lot of debate in the group about what is considered a "boutique" polish brand. I think now with so many different countries making and carrying different items, indies, small independent stores in small cities, that the term is quite broader than it once was. I personally was open to however you wanted to interpret it, and I think in my attempt I interpreted it pretty loosely.
Hey lovelies! Back today with the bi-monthly Beauty Buffs post! Todays post is all about YELLOW! Exciting! In the world of nail blogging, I am a huge fan of the yellow. I don't necessarily carry that love over into fashion or makeup, but I do a bit. Today I've got for you a mani I did for the post, a collage of some of my favorite yellow goodies and also another collage of some of my favorite yellow manis from the GG archives.
Hey guys! Recovering from the very busy Easter weekend over here, so this prompt is a day late and tomorrows probably will be too! Our Easter was pretty good, I even got to see a good friend of mine I wasn't expecting to see so that was nice. Todays/Mondays prompt for the NPC is Drugstore polishes, so I pulled out two of my somewhat newer acquisitions that went cool together!
I'm back! I'm back I'm back I'm back with another tutorial!! This is our monthly collab video between myself and Nory of Fierce Makeup & Nails, this month we decided to do an Earth Day mani since Earth Day is this week. Luckily I did this before the big easter egg dyeing event we had today because ya'll.....ERRYONE'S hands are GREEN!
Hi guys! I have a double tutorial weekend lined up for you! I recently did this mani for a Pure tutorial video, which I do each month, and then tomorrow I also have a tutorial video for you for something else! How fun is that?!?! Consider me the Easter Bunny. Anyway - let's get to it.
Last day of Digit-al Dozen week! This has been one of my favorites. So many great manis have happened, and I can say that even my own manis were all ones I personally loved. Usually halfway through the week I start to hate whats left to show you. But this week, I'm glad I was able to mix up the textures and not just do a full week of textured polish. Today is a foray into unknown territory as I decided to go a bit 3D!
Helloooo!! It's Indie Day for the Neverending Pile Challenge - I have plenty of those in my untrieds, that's for sure. So I decided to see how many I could cram into one mani, but still go together. I came up with this teal and tan combo, let's check it out!
Hi loves! 4 days in to Digit-al Dozen week! Today sees the only mani I did this week that is more physically textured and not reliant on textured polish! How about that! I actually had high hopes to do a couple of traditional textured manis like this but time got the better of me and I just have the one!
Well....hello there. Here we are at the halfway mark of Digit-al Dozen week! To refresh your memory, we are doing Textures this week...how about some bright texture splatters?
It's Jelly Day for the Neverending Pile Challenge! Arrr...jellies. I love the idea of them, but I always find them a bit difficult. I'm the type of gal who likes my polish opaque, but I can still enjoy a good jelly if it doesnt take 15 coats to get there. So today I took 2 jellies I had never used and put them on top of each other. How did it go? Let's go look.
Hey guys! Back again with another OPI Collection to share with you. This one is a collaboration with Major League Baseball, which is the US baseball association, so if you're outside the states you may not know what the heck MLB is! I'm so not into baseball, but I've definitely spent my fair share of time at Angels Stadium when I was a kid! Let's check these out, shall we?
Texture Week with the Digit-al Dozen going strong at Day 2. I was really excited about yesterdays mani, today I'm equally excited. These two were such huge favorites in my brain I couldn't even decide which I liked more. I think this one wins on pure originality though. Some things I find inspiration from, today I just light bulbed it, and I love it so much. But enough vanity, gross....let's go look!
Well hi there! Welcome back to my blog! Today is another prompt for the Neverending Pile Challenge, and its Frost! Not the most popular of finishes, thats for sure. Luckily I just received the new MLB collection from OPI and there are a couple of frosts in it, so I figured I'd mash them up into a leopard print for todays prompt!
OMG! I feel like it's been near forever since I did Digit-al Dozen week. First I had the NAGG challenge and skipped a month, then I got sick and had to skip another! Talk about slack! But now I'm back on track for our Texture Week! So excited, as you know I love some texture, and with the exception of one day, this week is full of awesome textured polishes!
Well hello there! I have a small bit of swatch spam today. I've been a bit sporadic in my posting lately but I thought I would throw some swatch pics up that I need to get posted before they're antiques! This week is Digit-al Dozen week, as well as continuing on with the Neverending Pile Challenge, so there will be lots to see this week, in the meantime, enjoy these couple of pretty pics!
Oh hi there! Ready for the weekend? I plan on gluing myself to the nail table and finally getting ahead of the curve! No sickies, no kiddies...just me and my pretties! Today is another prompt in the Neverending Pile Challenge, today it's Random! So many choices! Decided to go with some Scofflaw polishes I picked up several months ago...
Hey beauties!! It's Beauty Buffs Wednesday! Today we are exploring the wonderful world of Royal Blue! I have recently become quite infatuated with this shade, especially the bright cobalt version. So today I'm going to show you some fun blue things I am loving right now, all of my favorite owned royal blue polishes and also a little mani I did for today!
Heyllo! Today is Pastel day for the Neverending Pile Challenge! If you are interested in jumping in on some days of this challenge, head over to the Glittah Pirates FB Group to sign on! It lasts quite a few months so lots of us will be doing what we can when we can, but there are all kinds of fun prompts! If you didn't see my post on Instagram the other day, I posted a pic of my untrieds, I had exactly 240 when the challenge started, can't wait to see what I end up with when it's over! I'm going to count every polish I use, subtract it from the 240 and compare what I actually have when its over to see how much I bought during the challenge as well!
Hey loves! I've missed you! The day my brain stopped wanting to explode from being sick turned into the day my boyfriends son came for his spring break, so as soon as I was recovering from being sick I was burst into full on babysitter mode and it's been non-stop for a week! I'm so glad I'm better now and I'm free from ALL of the things that have been keeping me from blogging! With that said - today starts the newest challenge we have cooked up over at The Glittah Pirates group! We want to rid ourselves of those untrieds that we love, buy and forget about! Today we're starting it off with glitter!
You absolutely do not have to do every prompt, and you don't even have to do the first one if you decide today you want to join but its last minute. Do what you can, when you want!
Oh hi there! Remember me!? I'm better!! Not to like jinx myself or anything, but I'm feeling way better FINALLY! At least better enough to pull some manicures out of the dungeon and post them so there isn't a gaping hole here for the next week! Let's look at some pretty bling to make us feel good!
Hey guys! Its been a little quiet around here the last couple of days, unfortunately I have been laid up in bed with one hell of a bronchial/sinus situation. So I figured now that I'm slightly on the mend I would do the monthly round up post for ya'll til I'm feeling up to doing more nail stuffs! Also - if you have left me any comments or questions here in the past month, I promise to get to them! Its been a weird month where I have been distracted and going through the motions. Partly from being sick and partly I guess from seasons changing/being weird. So bear with me!
