Happy Birthday Maddi
Our little lady turned three this week! I can't believe my little baby is so old. When I close my eyes, I see my sweet girl swaddled in pink, humming herself to sleep. Yet there is a boucing, smiling little girl dancing around the house. Where has time gone?
At three, Maddi's favorite...
color is brown
song is I am a Child of God
sport is hockey
bestfriend is mommy
book is any pink book
animal is giraffe
movie is Alvin and the chipmunks
food is rice
favorite princess is yellow Belle
thing to do with mommy is school
thing to do with drew is school
thing to do with dad is hug him
is thankful for Jesus birthday
favorite pet is Sam puppy dog
Maddi laughs and sings and dances. She screams when she's angry, squeals when she's happy, and cries when she sees that someone else is sad. She is compassionate and bossy, funny and sensitive. I can't remember life before her and thank God every single day for allowing me to be her mother.
Happy birthday Maddi-moo!

Thanksgiving
Well I'm obviously a little behind, but I thought I'd take a moment to capture our Thanksgiving day.
This year, we started a new tradition. I took all of the kids leftover Halloween candy & we made a gratitude turkey. We filled a jar with the candy, pasted turkey feathers along the edges, and added a gobbley turkey face to the front. Before the kids could have a piece of candy, they had to take a feather & write down something they were greatful for. It was fun to hear all of the things that are special to them, and it was nice to keep a spirit of gratitude in our home.
We spent Thanksgiving day with grandma & grandpa. We celebrated Grandma's 80th birthday, ate a delicious meal, prayed together, laughed together, and layed around on the beach together. It was an absolutely perfect day.
