MOS burger land

its honestly a little too much clubbing in a week for me. i dont mind the drinks, i dont mind staying out pubbing with excellent bands. but clubbing? nah. it comes to a point where you're just too old for it to be an everyday type thing. every week even. id still stick to my once a month limit. im old. i need time to reccuperate. :)

so there again, we went clubbing. i think jane and i were pretty done with clubbing for now. just that its MOS. not much of a homey feeling to it. MOS' more for a one time visit type thing. u cant just grab a HUGE UK club and chuckit here. clubbers here need that tinge of local essence. it just doesnt work that way. aint sure whether jane clubbed at MOS london. but still. if i were her, id probably do the same. oh well.

we attempted to go in early. to skip the queue since all that was up on our agenda was to take a look at the place. i was at kevins have a sweet ol pre-drinking session in his balcony. accompanied by very lousy char kway tiao. but absolut's newly launched red ruby was fantastic. especially with the orange peel fresh i had. yum. it tasted more cocktailish then anything else. it was gooood. and yes, credit goes to jane for giving me yet another bottle. yay!

i didnt dare finish it. just in case jane still wanted it. haha. so we drank up half of it, and opened kevins other apple smirnoff. another new flavour. yay! not as great as red ruby, but it'll suffice. yum. :)

we ended up reaching at 2245. 15mins after cover shoots up. darn it. this is what i call, clubbing on a budget. haha. and my was it boring. the main arena was closed up too, till later. so we ended up going for prata. kevin wasnt too pleased. haha. poor boy.

its an mg mambo, i swear!

my first mambo, and i swear it'll probably never be any better. its always funny how i have such excellent first ups, the seconds never can come close to compare.

so its bring-jane-to-see-zouk day. though not very much in the mood for clubbing, we still went nevertheless. especially how EVERYONE backed out last minute. stupid. so we made the crowd. jane, kevin and i. lo and behold, the rest was missing out!

we met eVeryONE else that night!

wala.rouge.sunday.wala.wala.

jay the gay's sexy purple tight fit tee needed a sexy purple tight bra strap partner

happy birthday eva!

ive rediscovered my love for wala. haha. ive been there thrice in the past 5 days. one day being a sunday, i.e. family day. haha. save me.

it all started immediately after my trip to tekong. the day ben got enlisted. it really isnt a case of cat's away mice comes out to play type thing. it just happened that eva's bday was celebrated at wala. and that rod jay and i decided to open a bottle, and the whole thing came tumbling out.. yay.
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
so there, its been wala on friday for me. a bottle of glenmorangie. some whiskey that was surprisingly rather sweet. jay sent us home that night. twas good. especially with everyone in their drunken stupor. i of course, had to be up and awake to accompany jay all the way home.

we went down to rouge on sat. grace wanted to check john molina and friend out so we met up. it was kinda matts last night out anyway. dre opened yet another bottle (ugh, save me) and since matt wasnt quite dressed to partay.. i decided to make a trip back to his place up at serangoon to get changed and back down to rouge again. yay for the bottle of bombay saphire that matt and jane gave. got me crazily delighted. :) sweet.

though rouge wasnt as great as expected, and that marcus looked perpetually stressed, the strange random dancers there still made it rather amusing. and it was a lot funnier when we realised matts rare talent of perfect imitation. he did such good mimicks of others. haha. and we had the whole couple thing going on, jane and matt, marcus and grace. and it got worse when botak and dre left. so i had to dance mostly with my imaginary partner. but they made it all better. yay. such darlings. :)

met sunand on monday. spent the entire afternoon at holland finishing up work that should have been done a couple of weeks ago. i had a group meeting anyway, so waiting for sunand was a lot easier. and they accompanied me all the way till 7, twas good. i missed our random after work dinners we used to have. or even our 3hour lunches. havent seen/talked much for the past 2-3 months. so a meet up proved its worth. i had a fantastic time, im sure he did too. and of course, i got to meet his ex army buddy, alan. the bassist for wala's band that night. cute big guy. yes, gloria and her thing for big guys. but still. ;) somehow, wit and humour comes in proportion to a persons size. haha. i obviously dont know what im talking about.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

i absolutely love the 2 of them. it even spills over to the 'oh-too-much' category. the ones who are guilty of moulding the bigger part of my life. of making me pretty much who i am today. and its comforting knowing how different paths of life we may take, the distance honestly matters not.

so there, we went down to wala again last night, after an hour and a half of driving around to pick them up. it was gooooood. alan was playing again! yay to that! dre and his guys were there. and it was so much fun. everyone was so blabbery. and we got to know the band! and it was hilarious when we realised the uncanning resemblance betwen botak and brandon, the drummer. they even took a photo together! and he gave him his signature drumsticks. cool stuff man. never knew having a universal face worked. haha.

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

alan actually sang last night! he dedicated a song to gloria and grace, perfect rendition. i went gaga! haha! it went 'yea, gloria you can turn me on'. hahahaha.. alan alan.. yay!

hung around till it was just us, the waiters and the band. took a ton of phots, and of course, the finale of us going..oh walawala! haha!

oh walawala!

i love kurt nilsen!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

stupid andre. he made me start my crazy kurt nilsen craze all over again. ahh... lovely.

i was actually early for church today. gracie got up early to make us pancakes for breakfast since mom wasnt home. so that was kinda a nice surprise. i even got up in time to catch some random taiwan show on tv in the morning. got to church at 11:10am, compared to my usual 12pm arrival. got in and msged yokey a "haha-ure-late" msg. its amazing how i got up especially since supper only ended at 330am last night after clubbing at butter factory.

sermon was dreadful. it was so boring. and ning and i kept laughing at the pastor who couldnt quite pronounce his "S"es. or pronounced it a tad too much. i dont know. it annoyed me. and the way the stage was rebuilt wasnt pleasing to the eye either. now church looks like a typical traditional chinese methodist church. boring. i still loved the old stage, even if with termite infestation. at least it had a pulpit and an altar. darn it.

after church, since grace and dre came again, we decided to do lunch. didnt know AV had such fantastic avocado juice. like ew! or so i thought. it seemed like almost an oxymoron to me, but it was GOOD stuff.

went down to dres for a sweet jamming session. something i havent done for ages. and man, dre cAN sing well. impressive. and there we go, he got me hooked to mr. kurt all over again. sigh. my hobbit idol... ooh..

Schooley mcCooley

so school's finally started for me. i must say 3 hour lectures are made alot easier when you've got company. especially a whole row of them. i love the new friends ive made, and its interesting how the proportion of christians there are amongst us is more than non-christians. not that im judgemental, its just, well, nice to know that im majority now.

i cant wait when all the random ccas i signed up for starts. ive come to realise that there are a million and one things catherine and i wanna do together. and its comforting to know that someone i meet every single day is very much like me. crazy, spontaneous, the list goes on. and of course, as easily distracted as me too! we could almost start a goldfish club. hehehe..

ive finally gotten my hair trimmed, and done stuff that i've been procrastinating for long. been fishing a whole load too. its been barely a week since we got the rods and ive been to fishing twice. haha. sweet. caught a whole load of kunnings the other day. which reminds me how cat and i are supposed to open a nasi lemak stall together. id do the fishing for fishes, and she'd have to steal the chilli recipe from her ex-bf's grandma. haha. yay! cant wait for jans food tasting later! :D

malteses, anyone?

who can resist a fella like that? especially when it once belonged to you.

i cant believe my brother is as irresponsible as any other 'spca-dumper' i detest. i can barely recall a time where ive been as pissed off with him as i am now. its ridiculous. how dare he say he has tried looking for homes for his poor dog. he claims he cant bear to let him sit in his kitchen, whining all day. says he'd give it to the spca. ridiculous. so murders the best option? ah, interesting solutions you have, young man. im truly impressed. and when i told him to look up yahoo classifieds, he said he has tried and there wasnt anything there. what nonsense. i just posted up an ad there and mass emailed in reply to people who wanted a maltese. just looking for a maltese, in particular, had 20 over receipients i could mail it out to. darn you. i cant believe you.

so there, an appeal as intended, to tug at the heartstrings of many out there who are dying to own a pooch, has pretty much turned into a complaint, an exclaimation of my brother's disgusting, eye popping, jaw dropping mighty plans of getting rid of the dog. straight to the SPCA. i know exactly what its like to throw your fella in there. ive done that before. twice, to be exact, and i swear i'd never/let anyone do it again. twice because it wasnt up to me to decide. so gabriel ngoi, when i say i will find him a home, i do mean i wILL find him a home.

so anyone, willing, please, go ahead!

details as follows:
:) 7 years (old fella, but definately pup at heart)
:) pure bred, born and bred in australia till he was four, and flown into singapore when my brother came back
:) micro chipped
:) excellent health (apart from ear mites)
:) basic obedience trained
:) toilet trained
:) male, spayed

so there. he's free. just take him, please.
