Mt. Oxford (cont.)

Look how high the climb was! Almost killed me. The summit was freezing~ ( 0 deg. C ). I was so thankful to be going down after having lunch. hehe. look at how steep the descent was. The climb down was faster but more dangerous. In total, it was 4 hrs up, 2 hrs down. I was thankful I got down safely ( seriously!)

Ok. So everything was going ok ... then we encountered bits of snow. And More Snow. And even More Snow. It was getting really hard to thread up the mountain at this point. I was panting and puffing my way up. I totally wasn't prepared for this kind of a climb. :S A last pic of me looking happy. haha

Mt. Oxford

Ok ... I signed up for the Canterbury Trampers Club and went for my first trek at Mt. Oxford. I was told it was an easy to moderate climb up the mountain, but boy was I in for a rude awakening! The pics show the transport there ( Bat Van?!?) , the start of the trail up and everything was looking fine at this point. =p

Culinary Corner II

My 2nd dish. Mapo tofu wif some vege added to it. Tasted all right to me! =)

Culinary Corner

Ok. This is the first dish I attempted. Tried to copy my mom's Broccoli with mushrooms. (not bad for a 1st try if I say so =p ) Added chicken to it as meat. yaye~
