The photo shoot meets Old School

Returning today with another project using my most favourite collection -the Heidi Swapp Old School collection. The cool blues, and eclectic patterns and designs were the perfect way to celebrate a special photo shoot we had last year in Santorini.

I began with an enlarged photo and embellished with stickers from the Old School collection.

I added in a 6x8 photo and again added stickers to embellish my photo.

On the back I trimmed a piece of the wave pattern paper to size. I then took one of the Old School tags and typed up my journaling. I then adhered into the pattern paper and added  some machine stitching.

I added my photos into the pockets and then used the 6x8 pattern paper pad to find favourite pattern papers that coordinate with my photos. I used some of the iridescent thickers for my title and stapled tags and ephemera to my photos and 3x4 pockets. I tried to use camera icons to help tell the story of the photo shoot.
I am totally loving using the Old School collection in my travel album. I cant wait to start my next!

Venice and Color Fresh

Sharing some new pages in my travel album today. Our European vacation included a 3 day stop over in beautiful Venice. Today I am sharing two double page spreads using the gorgeous and bright Color Fresh collection from Heidi Swapp. Let me share with you the details.

I began with a pocket page for the left and an enlarged 12 x 12 photo on the right.

I trimmed my favourite pattern papers from the Color Fresh collection to 3x4 and popped them into the pockets. I then used the variety of sticker booklets from the Color Fresh collection to embellish the photos.

I added this Neon stickers also from the Color Fresh collection to create a subtitle on my enlarged photo.

My second spread mirrors the first with an enlarged photo and pocket page on the right.

Again I added in patten paper from the Color Fresh collection to fill the empty pockets. I used typewriter to add my journaling directly onto one of the 3x4 pieces of pattern paper.
I also added stickers onto my enlarged photo as well.

I hope you are enjoying seeing my travel album come together.
Don't forget you can find the Color Fresh collection at JoAnn's right now

Art Walk meets Venice!

Welcome back to my growing album of travel layouts of our trip to Europe last year. This time I am using the Heidi Swapp Art Walk collection and it is documenting a visit to Doge's Palace in Venice!

I looked through the 12 x 12 paper pad from the Art Walk collection and chose pattern papers that coordinated with my photos. I love the washed out feel to the papers, it gives a historical vibe.

I used some of the Thickers and stamps from the collection for my title and typed up my journaling on a piece of pattern paper that I trimmed to 3x4.

I added some Minc touches to my photo and one of the 3x4 cards by using the Art Walk stencils, Minc texture paste and Gold foil before running through my Minc machine.

For my enlarged title I used the Hello die from the Art Walk collection and a piece of pattern paper also from Art Walk to embellish simply.

You can find the Art Walk collection at JoAnn!

Storyline Chapters - telling stories about Covid 19

I am back today sharing  a new spread in my Heidi Swapp Storyline Chapters notebook that I am telling stories about Covid 19. Today I am telling the story of my husband working from home. He has been home since February, having meetings on teams, working in casual gear and running around with our kids, saving me from doing it! I am also sharing a funny story about my  sewing machine that I use for my scrapbooking... my husband  sits in his virtual meetings with the sewing machine in the background... he often gets teased about this so I had to use that as my title! Let me share a bit more about my spread.

I began by printing off my photo 7.5 x 9, rounding the corner and adhering to the left page in my Heidi Swapp Storyline Chapters insert. I then trimmed the ledger paper pattern paper form the paper pad to fit my page. I placed the paper into my typewriter and added in my journaling.

I added stickers directly onto my photo from the Storyline Chapters sticker booklets.

I then added letter stickers, washi and stickers all from the Storyline Chapters collection to embellish my page. I love the way it turned out.
My Storyline Chapters notebook about Covid is definitely filling up with the the many stories of this year. It will be amazing to look back in years to come to remember all the little stories that made up the big story of 2020!

You can find this collection at your local JoAnn store now!

Hello its Art Walk

I am adding to my travel album today using the perfect vintage paper collection - Art Walk from Heidi Swapp.  It is the perfect way to add some colour and sophistication to any project as well as a touch of sparkle with some Minc shine in there as well.

Heidi Swapp Art Walk

I started by printing off that 9x12 photo and used the Hello die and pattern paper from the Art Walk collection as my title.

I added a couple of 6x12 pocket pages. The 4x6 pocket was filled with pattern paper from the 6x8 Art Walk paper pad and then the Chipboard Thickers also from the collection form part of my title.

I love filling the pockets with photos and then adding stickers from the Art Walk Sticker sheet on top of the photos for simple embellishments.

I added my journaling to another 4x6 piece of pattern paper taken from the 6x8 paper pad.

To create the clear pocket I used one of the Art Walk stencils and some white Minc texture paste on a transparency. I then ran it through my Minc with some of the Gold Minc Honeycomb foil. I love the effect it created.

The Windmills with Old School

I don't think I have loved a collection more in a long time than the Heidi Swapp Old School collection. It is the perfect combination of old school glamour, grunge and beach all rolled into one. It was begging to be used in these photos of our time in Mykonos visiting the Old Windmills.

I especially loved the soft pink pops of color that I have spread through my pages. The Ephemera pack and sticker sheet has  an eclectic group of images and phrases that can be used for a variety of stories.

I printed this photo at 9 x 12 and added one of the Definition stickers and a few stickers straight on to the photo.

Heidi Swapp Old School meets my Memory Planner

When it comes to my Memory Planner I love mixing in different Heidi Swapp collections.  I have been inspired to use the new Old School collection clear stamps. I have a couple of new pages in my Memory Planner that I want to share with you.

I started by using the Leaf stamp from the Clear Acrylic Icon stamps on my page using some mint ink.

It was the perfect way to embellish my page.

I added some of the Old School Clear Alpha stamps to my left page also using some Mint ink.

Next I grabbed the Palm tree stamp from the Old School Icon stamp set and stamped using some lime green ink for a fun pop of colour!

I also stamped the Clear Enjoy the Now stamp onto my page as well using my mint ink for consistency on my pages.

I love these Old School Clear stamps. You can not only use them in your scrapbooking but in your planner as well!
