Art Walk meets the Amalfi Coast

It is coming up to almost 2 years since my family and I took our European vacation. I am continuing to love working on my travel album and I have loved using the Heidi Swapp Art Walk collection for many of my spreads,  today I want to share my newest. travel layout.

Today's spread tells the story of our visit to the beautiful Amalfi coast. I combined an enlarged photo with a pocket page and used lots of goodness from the Art Walk collection to complete my spread.

I trimmed pattern papers from the 6x8 Art Walk paper pad to 3x4 and slipped them into the pockets. On one of them I ran it through my typewriter to add my journalling.

I then embellished my photos and my pattern paper cards with the word stickers from the Art Walk 6x12 sticker sheet. It was a simple but cohesive way to add embellishments.

To complete my spread I used some of the Art Walk thickers and black alpha stickers to create my title straight onto my photo. I love the way this pops against my photo.
This spread came together quickly because I used the one collection and repeated the same elements. It is such a great way to get your projects done!
You can find the Art Walk collection here at your local JoAnn store!

Celebrating love with my Heidi Swapp Blush Memory Dex Spinner

Celebrating love today with my Heidi Swapp Blush Memory Dex Spinner.
I love that its like a small canvas to be creative with. Today I want to share 3 new Memory Dex cards I have made to celebrate the season of love.

I started with the February card  and ran it through my typewriter to add my journaling.
Next I  added some of the Storyline Chapters Sheer stickers for the word LOVE.

To complete I layered on some of the Storyline Chapters floral stickers and ephemera pieces. I love how sweet it looks.

Next I took one  of the Storyline Chapters pattern paper pads and found this glorious floral paper. I used my die cutting machine and Memory Dex dies to cut out the card.
I trimmed down a piece of white card and typed out my love quote.

I then stitched on that butterfly sticker from the Storyline Chapters collection and layered over a couple of stickers to complete. Simple and sweet.

For my final card I used a 4x6 photo of my husband and I. Again I used the Memory Dex die to cut out the card. I simply layered over some of the sheer Storyline Chapters stickers and that clear butterfly sticker. So simple but so unique.

You can find all the Memory Dex supplies and Storyline Chapters supplies at Scrapbook.com

Old school Memory Dex cards

I am loving my Heidi Swapp Blush Memory Dex lately. A place to play and create on a smaller canvas. I love teaming my Blush Memory Dex up with the Heidi Swapp Old School collection. The colours and patterns just make me happy.
I decided to make myself a few cards to celebrate 2021. Let me share them with you now.

I began with that fun striped pattern paper and used my Memory Dex die to cut out the card. I then added a fav photo that I took on NYE with my husband to the card. I embellished simply with stickers from the Old School collection to complete my card.

I began my next card with that beautiful floral pattern paper and again used the Memory Dex die to cut out the card. I used a large circle punch to punch that pink circle then layered over pieces from the Old School Ephemera pack. I added some of the Old School thickers to complete my card.

For my final card I again cut out the pattern paper from the Old School collection with the Memory Dex die. I then used the stamps from the Old School collection to stamp out that quote using some soft pink ink. I finished off by adding some Old school ephemera  and some splashes of pink Color Shine.
I am looking forward to creating monthly Memory Dex cards this year, a way to add a touch of creativity to my home decor.

Art Walk meets Florence

I have been itching to get back to scrapbooking my European vacation. With all the festivities of Christmas I neglected my travel album but I am back to share a couple of pages using the Heidi Swapp Art Walk collection.

Today I am sharing two pages from our visit to Florence. The Heidi Swapp Art Walk collection was the perfect choice for my photos. I started with a pocket page on the left. I filled it with photos and then trimmed 3x4 pieces of pattern paper from the 6x8 Art Walk paper pad.

I then added stickers- including the definition and alpha stickers onto my photos and 3x4 cards to embellish.

For my title I added the Art Walk thickers directly onto my enlarged photo.

On the reverse page, again I added the Art Walk thickers directly onto the enlarged photo, and added in more photos and 3x4 cards into the pocket page.

Once again I added stickers from the Art Walk collection to my photos and trimmed pattern paper.
This collection lends itself beautifully to the vintage vibe of my photos. I cannot wait to scrapbook more of our European vacation using this stunning collection. You can find the Art Walk collection at your local JoAnn store.

Welcome to my scraproom

Welcome to a new year!
Welcome to my scrap room!
Welcome to a new year of Memory Keeping!
I have been doing a little clean and purge of my scrap room and I wanted to share where I would be doing my crafting this year! I am excited for a new year of possibilities!

Here is the view as you step into my craft room from the door. You can see several Ikea tables, shelving and drawer units.

Next to the door I have these set of drawers which hold all my pattern papers, Heidi Swapp Minc foils and blush Minc.

On top I have my  Heidi Swapp Memory Planner open ready to document. I leave it open so I can work on it any time I am free.

I share a desk with my husband. We put two Ikea desks together and he sits opposite to me. You can see his computer on the right. Here is where I keep all my adhesive, pens, staples and bits and pieces that I use all the time.

A side view of my desk and shelving hanging on the wall.

Another set of Ikea shelving. This holds my computer, sewing machine and extra bits and pieces in the boxes. Extra adhesive, stamps, punches, washi etc.

This larger Ikea shelf holds all my current Heidi Swapp paper collections as well as my We R Memory Keepers tools.

I love my Heidi Swapp Lightbox on the shelf here!

I keep all my stickers and ephemera from collections in little glass bowls. Adds such a decorative element to my room.

I cannot wait to be back in my Scraproom and continue my Memory keeping for 2021.

Heidi Swapp Memory Planner

As I sat and worked on my Heidi Swapp Memory Planner today I looked back at the beginning of my planner, and marvelled at everything that has happened this year....wow what a year 2020 has been. I am so thankful that I have recorded it all in my Memory Planner. With only days to the new year I am sharing a couple of my final pages.

One of my favorite way to celebrate memories is large photos. Here I printed off my photo 4x6 and adhered it on an angle to my page.

I then layered over stickers from the Color Fresh collection in and around my photos.

Another week and another full size photo. You can see I used some of the Color Fresh washi to add some color to my photos.

I love using the Color Fresh stickers over the top of my photos. Adds texture without bulk!

As the year is coming to a close I love looking at holding my full planner. Weeks and weeks of stories and memories. I will be forever grateful for a place to hold them all!

Gold Star Minc foil meets my December Album!

I am slowly working away on my December album.
One of my favourite ways to add shimmer and shine to my album is to create my own prinatbles and then print them off on to a transparency and then run them through my Heidi Swapp Minc machine with my favourite foil colours!

As you can see for this clear page, I used the Heidi Swapp Gold Star foil. I love the way it reflects in the light.

The different shades of stars in the Minc Foil add to the glitter and shine to my page.

I love that the clear transparency combined with the Gold Minc foil adds such a rich feel to my page.
Don't forget you  can find the Minc and Minc foils at JoAnn stores!
It is such an easy way to create a special page in your Memory Keeping!
